  About the Author

Reading and writing have always been a part of my life. I was that odd child who went to the library during summer vacation, reading romances before I realized what they were. My habits are still the same.

I published two historical romance novels as Wendy Douglas. Shades of Gray and The Unlikely Groom were released by Harlequin Historicals. After a long hiatus from publishing, I returned with a new enthusiasm and a different focus. The Wycked Obsession series is the result.

Born and raised in northwest Iowa, I spent most of my adult life in Anchorage, Alaska. I moved to the Texas Gulf Coast to thaw out my bones, and I live here with two very spoiled dachshunds and an assortment of fictional characters who get their way far more often than I do.

  Acknowledgments

I must start with apologies. This books is probably not what some of you are expecting. It isn’t what I expected to write, either. Noah and Paige had other plans, however.

About halfway through writing the book, they went on strike. As in refusing all cooperation until they got their way. That meant starting from scratch. Yes, deleting over 40,000 words.

  I was devastated.

I pulled up my big girl panties, dug in, and started over. Some other stuff happened in my personal life, but I persevered, and finally—only five months late—you have Wycked Escape.

I didn’t do this on my own. I have some wonderful beta readers and brainstormers who deserve mega-kudos. Nickie, Sherry, Dave, Rachael, Karen, and Stacy . . . you are the best! Many more thanks to my editor, Loredana Elsberry Schwartz; my cover designer, Tatiana Vila of Vila Designs; ME Kusel, my website and marketing designer, and Kathy Hafer, my proofreader. This book is better because of y’all!

Finally, thank you to my readers who are such a tremendous support to this author who spends way too much time inside my own head. You gave my Wycked Obsession guys a chance, and we’re all super excited to have you come along with us on this journey.

Please watch for the next book in the series, planned for Spring of 2019.
