Jake carried her over to the bed, still buried deep inside her, and laid down on his back. She straddled him, rocking her hips, feeling the fire that still burned deep inside her come to life. He grabbed her hips and drove himself into her several times, making her cry out with each powerful thrust.
Desperate once again to feel that rush, Joslin pushed her self up, braced her hands on Jake’s chest, and began to ride him. Driving him into her over and over until the pressure became too much and she tumbled again into oblivion, taking Jake with her this time. His body convulsed beneath her, his hands dug into her hips as the pleasure overwhelmed him.
Later, as they were wrapped up together on the bed, neither willing to get up and light the fire, Jake said, “I’ll build us a little house somewhere on the ranch; we can spend half our time here and half on the compound.”
“That sounds like a perfect plan; I still don’t know what Annabelle has decided about the coven. Someday I may have to make that decision myself, but for now, I’ll be happy to split my time between the two,” Joslin said, snuggling down deeper in his arms.
Jake sighed, happier than he’d ever been. “I love you, Joslin. We’re going to have a great life together.”
“I love you too, Jake, sometimes so much it hurts,” she said, then sat up in bed. “You know what? You’re my unexpected gift. You’re that present you don’t expect to get but is so perfect for you it makes you cry when you get it. That’s you, Jake, and I’m going to spend the rest of my life being thankful that you’re mine.”
“An unexpected gift: that’s perfect. Now I might have a gift for you,” Jake said, flipping her onto her back and diving under the covers.
Joslin giggled and tried to fight him; through her giggles, she managed to say, “I love you, Jake.”
She heard a muffled, “I love you too, Joslin.”
