“His beliefs differ greatly from everyone else. There is good and bad in all of us Maegar, it’s all about which side you feed.”
Nodding, Maegar turned away, his pink hair blowing in the slight breeze. “I’ll gather the council and make contact. You’ll have to get us into the Castle to speak with this boy though. The others won’t act on your word alone.”
“I know, why do you think I called you here first?” Buisan smiled and watched his friend disappear into the darkness. Dragons will rise again, Elijah is the key.

Acknowledgments
There are so many people I need to thank for their help with this book. Being part of a the writing community has given me so many people to turn to when I am in need of advice;
Megan, this book would not be where it is today without your help. Thank you so much for believing in me, giving me hard truths and critiquing my book to make it the best possible version. There are no words that express my gratitude enough. Except, can you please help me forever?
Donna, thank you once again for being the best critique partner a girl could ask for. I’m so glad we found each other and that we can push one another to go forward with our goals and dreams.
Lindsey, thank you for helping me see that even when everyone is on their own path, they always have someone to walk with.
My beta readers, Dania and Alli. Your thoughts gave me a new direction and helped to bring this book from good to great.
Pagan, my book coach, your help and expertise made sure that I knew exactly how to execute my ideas and not get overwhelmed. This book would not be here without you.
A huge thank you to my Patrons Laura & Holly. Your support means the absolute world to me! Thank you for taking a chance on me and helping me live my storytelling dreams.
My mum, for pushing me to strive for what I want even when we have been kicked in the gut. You are a saint and the strongest woman I know. I hope to one day write something for you that’s in a genre you read.
My dad, for your unwavering support and guidance through my life. You are always there to prop me back up when needed and I cannot thank you enough.
For Richard and Jason, my brothers, to whom this book is dedicated too. Your support in my author career has been incredible, thank you.
For Ian, thank you for being the last line of defence and showing me in your own way how proud of me you are. I love you.
And to you, my reader, thank you. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for picking up this book. It has been one of my favourites to write (so far) and I am excited to bring you the next two instalments of the trilogy - I hope you’ll join me in continuing Elijah’s journey.
