Over 40 And Head Over Heels: BWWM, Over 40's, Billionaire Romance (BWWM Romance Book 1) Page 14

by Ellie Etienne

She would hide nothing from him. Not even the most intimate and deepest of her needs.

“Please don’t stop,” she begged again, her fingers tugging at his hair, as he started to slow down, just a little. Frantic at the thought that he might stop, she pressed herself against him, her hips rising and falling, and finally, he gave her what she needed and let her have the climax she was desperate for, until her shuddering thighs nearly crushed his head, keeping him there until she was nearly spent.

He moved over her, still hard for her, nearly wild for her after tasting her pleasure. He kissed her and she tasted herself on his mouth, took it, eager for more.

“Inside me. I need you inside me,” she panted, and he didn’t wait. He entered her with one strong, hard thrust that had her crying out and rising to meet him.

She held on to him as he drove into her again, and again, all control left behind, as desperate for her now as she'd been for him a minute ago.

“Don’t stop. Don’t stop,” she demanded again, pulling him close for a kiss, then another, letting him taste her desperation and her desire.

No holding back. Nothing would hold her back.

She was done holding back, she was done compromising. Now she would take what she needed.

  What she needed was him.

“Dave,” she cried out, and her name on her lips made him drive deep inside her again, and again, as if he would become a part of her if he could.

“I can’t hold on much longer,” he said, his voice hoarse with effort.

She pulled him to her and kissed his neck, bit his ear, bit down hard enough on his shoulder that it would leave a mark, her mark on him.

“You feel so good, I’ve never needed anybody like this before. I’ve never felt like this before. Dave. Dave,” she said, his name on her lips making him shudder and tremble in her arms like he'd made her tremble before.

She held on to him as he plunged deep inside her, and stayed inside her, his face buried in the crook of her neck as his body jerked over hers, and she held on, giving him everything he needed.

Just like he'd given it all for her.

She would never stop giving him what he needed.

Because she knew that he was all she needed, too. She hadn’t been looking for him, and yet there he was.

  “I love you.”

She felt the shock of her words as his heart, which had been slowing down gently, picked up again. He kissed her softly, gently, tenderly.

  “Say it again.”

His voice was raw with emotion. He looked into her eyes and there were no walls there. There were no shutters there.

“I love you, Dave,” she told him, and when he smiled at her, she felt the last few shreds of guilt and doubt, the remnants of a life spent trying to live up to an ideal that only mattered to her, fell away.

  And she was at peace.

  And in love.

  ***

  “Best party ever!” screamed Meghan.

Tamara grinned and waved, glad to be on the sidelines. The cake was enormous and shaped like a grinning strawberry with shoes, for some reason. Tamara didn’t know what the reason was, but it seemed to make Meghan happy, and her friends seemed to be delighted with it.

“She’s transformed,” said Dave, who had her hand tucked in his.

“She’s just coming out of her shell. She needed to do that. She needed permission to move on, and she needed you to move on too.”

“She asked me when I was going to do right by you and make an honest woman out of you, by the way.”

“What!” squeaked Tamara, turning to Dave, her heart beating wildly, her eyes very wide.

“Don’t worry, I told her we’d get around to it when we got around to it, and that we’re enjoying sinning for the moment.”

“Dave.” Resigned mortification rang in her soft plea.

“You know how much I like it when you say my name.”

  Tamara grinned.

“Not at a teenager’s birthday party. Meg is beginning to get ahead of herself. I think I gave her too many tools.”

“You did more for her in a few months than I did in the last few years,” admitted Dave.

  Tamara’s grin widened.

“Really? I seem to remember you getting all offended when I suggested that maybe you weren’t doing everything you were supposed to as her parent. In fact, I seem to remember that you nearly lost your temper. Oh, not on the outside, but you were definitely simmering.”

  Dave shrugged.

“A few things happened to change my perspective. By the way, she finally told me how she got the weed.”

  “She did?”

  “She ordered it online.”

Tamara nearly spat out the wine she’d been sipping.

“She what? Without a prescription? As a minor?”

“I’m afraid our girl’s artistic skills extend to creating extremely realistic fake IDs.”

Tamara’s eyes nearly popped out of her head.

  “Oh God.”

“I see you didn’t get any of this out of her.”

“None of that is what we were working on, and no, I am not going to tell you anything more. Well, I guess you have to ground her.”

“Are you kidding? I’m proud of her. She came to me and told me all of this without making me ask. She said she wanted to be honest, and she wanted this to be a new beginning.”

  “Really?”

  “Really.”

  Tamara nodded.

“Well, then. You’re finally being a father to her, then. And a friend. Not that she needs more friends, from the looks of it. She seems to have more friends than she can handle. I wonder how many of them she made fake IDs for, though.”

Tamara knew she was going to worry about it. She worried about all the kids she considered to be under her care in some way or the other, but Meghan was different. Meghan was special.

“You’re annoyed she came to me and not you, aren’t you?” asked Dave, far too shrewd for his own good yet again.

  Tamara sighed.

“I thought we had a special bond.”

“You do. She just thought it needed to be me.”

  Tamara shrugged.

“Trusting her judgment is part of it. I’m glad she told you. She trusts you. Her trust isn’t earned that easily.”

“She’s decided that she wants to be an artist of some sort.”

  Tamara smiled.

“She already is an artist of some sort. How did the whole soldering thing go?”

“Don’t ask. I... Okay, so we’re moving to the pool. That is stage two of the party. Felicity should be there. She said she cannot abide cake cutting and birthday stuff but she loves a good party.”

“Hates being reminded of the passage of time and her own mortality,” commented Tamara as the kids made a mad dash through the landscaped grounds, heading straight for the big pool, with Meghan in the lead.

“Is she leading them or are they chasing her, do you think?” asked Tamara, wondering if she ought to be concerned.

“I think they’re fine. Come here.”

Dave pulled her to him, taking advantage of being alone. Tamara smiled, raised her face to his to accept the kiss, to deepen it, to demand some more, until they were both gasping for breath when they pulled apart.

“I don’t know how you do that to me every time. I think I’ll just kiss you, just a kiss, and then I need you so much that I can’t stop. You drive me mad, Tamara. You drive me mad in so many ways.”

Tamara laughed, still a little breathless.

“Do I? I guess it’s only fair because you drive me mad, too.”

“I should hope I do,” he said, and pulled her close for another kiss, and another, until they were lost in each other, lost to the world, everything else forgotten.

When they finally pulled apart, her hair was disheveled, as was his. He grinned.

“This is how you look when I wake you up in the morning.”

  Tamara laughed.

“I have been spending a lot of time here.”

“I think you should spend much more time here.”

  “Really?”

“It would really help with our soldering efforts, too. Meghan has been talking about carpentry. I’d never have thought that I’d be relieved at the thought of carpentry. At least it doesn’t involve blowtorches.”

  Tamara shook her head.

“She’s special. She... Do you think she...”

“She told me to make an honest woman out of you, remember? To be honest, I’m pretty sure she’s already got our wedding planned.”

“She’s getting a bit ahead of herself.”

“Is she? Well, she heard of your dad’s wedding and decided to get in touch with Tricia.”

  “What?” yelped Tamara.

“Hey, you’re the one who unlocked all of Meg’s potential and confidence. You’re the one responsible for unleashing this monster. It’s only fair that you suffer the consequences, too.”

“I... Tricia? She’s in touch with Tricia? And my dad?”

“Well, your dad got in touch with me, you know.”

  “He what?”

“To tell me that if I ever treated you like your ex did, I’d have to answer to him.”

“When the hell did all of this happen? Why didn’t I know about any of this?”

“I’m telling you now. But don’t worry. I had the perfect answer.”

  “You did?”

“I told him that if anybody at all, your family, your friends, anybody, ever deliberately hurt you, or was thoughtless enough to hurt you, they would have to answer to both me and my daughter. And we have blowtorches.”

Tamara’s laughter rang out as she hugged the man she loved, and she chose.

  She chose to trust him.

She chose him, and the family they would be together.

For them, she was enough. And that was the best gift anybody could ever have given her. It was what she needed.

“Dave,” she said softly, and the way his eyes lit up told her that she was making the right choice.

  Finally.
