She turned the corner and saw the moment Adam noticed her. His eyes filled with tears. She walked the few steps to the archway. Jamie kissed her cheek and went to stand beside Adam.
“You look beautiful.” Adam whispered to her.
Adam took her hand in his strong one. They recited their vows and became husband and wife.
Adam leaned over and kissed her, the most emotional, gentle, strong kiss she’d ever imagined. He squeezed her hands. “We did it.”
“Together we can do anything.” Susan looked up into her husband’s sparkling eyes, brimming with love, and stood on tiptoe and kissed him again.
