  Remy

Our eyes locked from across the room. It was an empty bar that smelled of seafood and burnt fryer oil. I wasn’t quite sure how many drinks I had, or even what day of the week it was but one thing was certain, the energy between us radiated the room.

He walked over towards me away from the table where he and a group of his friends were sitting. In the darkness of the bar lined with pink and cyan neon lights, I could see that his skin was smooth like satin. He had a medium complexion. His hair was long. The back of his hair brushed against his shoulder and tied into a messy knot. I wanted to grab it right then and there while fucking him.

“What are you drinking there?” He asked.

“Beer, it’s what we drink in Canada.”

  “Oh, you are Canadian.”

  “Born and raised.”

  “Here for?”

“Work, I’m a captain of an Atlantic crab fishing vessel. Here for a few nights before me and my crew take off back across the ocean. What do you do? What is your name even?”

He inched closer towards my face then said his name.

  “Mateo.”

The way his name rolled off his tongue sent tingles down every part of my body. I wanted to scream his name in my motel room that night.

“I’m Remy,” I whispered back in his ear. “What’s a young man like you doing in this coastal town in France?”

  “I’m living life.”

  “Living life?” I asked.

“Yeah… enjoying it one day at a time.”

  “Do you work?”

  “Not right now, no.”

  “Do you go to school?”

  “No…” he laughed.

  “How do you support yourself?”

  “I hustle.”

  “I see,” I said.

I wasn’t sure what he meant but every second here with him made me want him even more.

He reached his arm across the square table we were sitting at and took a sip from my beer. It took me by surprise, the confidence of this young man turned me on so much. It had to do with the fact that I had spent the past three months on a ship with a bunch of horny straight crew members. The amount of cum crusted socks we had could fill a laundry machine in a week.

“Can I buy you your own beer?” I asked. “So you don’t have to drink mine.”

  “If you want.”

I flicked two of my fingers to get the bartender’s attention then pointed at my pitcher to let him know I needed two more.

The bartender gave me a head nod.

Mateo reached into his pocket and pulled out a pack of rolling tobacco and started to roll a cigarette. I watched him put the tobacco in the rolling paper. His delicate fingers ran along the shaft of the paper. Then, I watched him lick his lips before he used his tongue to seal the glue.

My cock hardened right up as my gazed fixed onto him.

He looked up at me and smiled.

  “What?” He asked.

I shook my head to take me out of my daze.

  “Nothing,” I said.

The bartender came back with the beer.

“Do you have a lighter?” Mateo asked.

  I shook my head.

He got up from his chair back to where his friends were sitting and one of them gave him a light. Then the group of young guys and girls shuffled from their seats to get up from their table and headed to leave the bar. One of the girls smiled and waved at me on the way out.

I expected him to leave with them, but it surprised me when he turned and sat back down at my table at the corner of the bar. He took a sip of the beer I got him and then took a drag from his cigarette.

The bar was now completely empty except for me and him. The bartender was on his phone smoking outside. Jazz music filled the room along with the hum of a large fan placed near the front door. The sea breeze blew in from the propped open front door into the bar.

I hadn’t smoked in years but watching him made me want a cigarette so bad. It was the way he exhaled the smoke in the space between us. It was the way his eyes softened from the effects of the nicotine.

“How old are you?” He asked.

  “Forty-five, this spring.”

“No way. You’re a lot older than I thought you were.”

“I get that a lot. How old are you?”

  “Guess.”

  “I hate this game.”

  “Just guess.”

  “Twenty… three?”

  “Close, a bit higher.”

  “Twenty-four?”

  “Bingo.”

"What's a young man like you doing here in this coastal town?" I asked.

"I'm from Venezuela. I flew to Berlin almost one year ago and I've been traveling around Europe ever since," Mateo replied.

  "How's it so far?"

"It's... not bad. It has been nice being here. I've seen so much. My mind has opened up to so many new experiences. But it's time for me to go back."

"Do you have family back in Venezuela?"

"I do… if you can call them that."

  "What does that mean?"

"Well, they abandoned me when they found out I was gay before my eighteenth birthday. My mom found a magazine under my bed when she was cleaning my room. I moved in with my uncle until I decided to come to Europe. But I want to go back to see if things are different now that I'm older and less angry, and my mind is more clear."

"I'm sorry to hear that. It must have been tough for you."

It was sad to hear his story. I always felt fortunate coming from a family who didn't care about my sexuality.

Mateo drank the last of his beer leaving a bit in the bottom of the pint.

"Sorry I didn't mean to make this such a heavy conversation," he blurted.

I could see a bit of pain in his bright hazel eyes that's colors looked like the meeting of sand and water on the beach. His vulnerability to me made me want him so much more. I was so lonely after being out at sea for so long.

All I wanted was for someone to hold onto that night in my dingy motel room. Someone to remind me what it's like to touch another human being.

"Have you checked out the beach yet?" Mateo asked.

  I shook my head.

He smiled and he flickered his brows as if he had a secret to tell me.

  "Let's go," he smiled.

I went up to the bar to pay the bartender and I realized that I didn't have any euros in my wallet, just Canadian dollars. Fuck.

"Do you accept Canadian dollars?"

He muttered something under his breath and looked at me as if I was stupid.

"EUROS," he said in a snarky tone.

Fuck, I had nothing on me except for the bills.

"This is all I have. I'm sorry, I put down the hundred dollar Canadian bill."

It was unlike me to do something like that. But my mind was so focused on the beautiful man standing there with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. I hurried outside.

We walked towards the ocean breeze that tickled the coarse hairs on my arms. I rubbed them to warm up and felt the goosebumps on my tattooed forearms. My forearms were thick after the crab fishing trip.

The streetlights glowed yellow against the cream colored buildings. They were no more than five or six storeys tall. The leaves on the trees were light and wispy. They were very different from the dense pines in the region of Halifax, Canada, where I was from.

We walked further until there was a narrow boardwalk over large rock forms. In the distance was the familiar sound of waves crashing onto the shore. The sound I loved so much because as a Captain, it meant I completed another fishing season.

I let Mateo walk in front of me, the breeze blew back the scent of his hair. At six-foot-five, I was much taller than him. I admired the beauty of his body from behind.

His slender frame, his sharp shoulders, his bubble ass, his sculpted and toned arms. I loved how smooth his whole body was, his skin looked like smooth sand dunes. I loved how everything about his body was the exact opposite of mine.

We reached the end of the boardwalk and Mateo hopped down onto the pebbles and sat on the rocks.

I joined him and we looked out into the blackness of the horizon. We couldn't see anything in front of us. Only the sound of the crashing waves reminded us we were at the beach.

Mateo flicked his cigarette butt in front of him then he turned around to face me.

He looked at me with a half-smile and expectant eyes.

  "What?" I asked.

His smile was infectious and I couldn't help but smile back.

"We should go for a dip," his speech was a bit slurred, but after all those drinks, mine was too.

"You're fucking crazy. Do you know how cold that water is? We are in the Atlantic ocean right now."

  "So what?"

"So we'll freeze to death this late at night while everyone in this town is fast asleep. I looked behind me at the city streets far out in the distance, and there was not a person or a moving car in sight.

When I turned back around, Mateo had stripped off his white t-shirt and I could see his tanned torso. His nipples were like little chocolates. His pecs and abs looked delicious on his slender frame. I wanted to lick him, I wanted to feel his body on mine.

I watched him unbuckle his belt on his tatted and distressed light blue jeans. I watched his jeans and underwear pool onto the ground. He wasn't wearing any underwear, but he had cupped his cock and balls, so I didn't see any of it.

"Come on," he whispered with a smile.

He turned around and I watched his perky ass bounce as he sprinted on the pebbles into the darkness.

Fuck, I couldn't let this boy go by himself. Plus, I didn't know how drunk he was.

I wasn't a fan of this at all. I didn't like doing things that were dangerous. As a captain, I had to always keep my odds in check to stay alive not for me but for the crew on my ship.

But fuck, I had a feeling that Mateo was onto something. I needed to live a little.

I stripped out of my white button-up shirt. Took off my gold watch, and folded my trousers and socks on the rocks. I realized that I had a raging hard-on from seeing Mateo naked. I tried to cup my cock and balls the best I could, but no matter how I tried, I couldn't cover my exposed cock. He was going to see how horny I was. I wouldn't even be able to play it cool.

Fuck it, I ran into the darkness of the waters where I heard him laugh and splash around.

  Mateo

I learned to be cunning when my family abandoned me. Now, as a traveler with no money left, I knew what I needed to do.

When I met Remy, the handsome man in the bar that made eye contact with me, He had the face of desperation and loneliness. I've learned that whenever I see that face, it meant that I could capitalize on it.

Don't hate the player, hate the game. In this life, everyone fends for themselves. There are only winners and losers. Sharks will eat the stragglers.

I heard the sounds of Remy come run after me. The sound of his thick muscled body on the rocks. From the streetlights in the distance, his silhouette looked like a painting.

I was in awe of his beefy tattoo-covered forearms but there was a reason why I was looking. I was looking at his wrist for the watch he was wearing which he had taken off, exactly as I planned. He had a lot more tattoos than I realized. They were all covered by the silver hair on his body that glistened under the moonlight.

When Remy wasn't looking, I gave a signal to my buddy Carl. He was with my group of friends at the bar earlier that evening. Carl crept from the bushes where he was hiding and walked to where Remy had left his clothes.

Remy was trying to cover his cock and balls with his large hands. But even those weren’t big enough to hide his excitement. I wasn’t sure if he was very keen on swimming or if he liked seeing me naked.

Either way, it turned me on and soon I felt my own cock growing too. I walked backwards into the cold water. Remy was right, it was freezing.

The water cut my thighs like razor blades but I knew what I needed to do. I needed the watch. Carl slowly made his way towards the pile of clothes on the beach. Remy continued to follow me in the darkness of the water.

My heart raced the closer he got, I wasn’t sure if it was the adrenaline from stealing or if it was his sexiness. The thought of smelling his manliness and kissing his lips drove me wild.

“Fuck, how are you not freezing?” Remy rumbled.

I smiled and drew him closer to me with my hands. I kept an eye on Carl was hidden behind the lifeguard tower waiting for me to signal him to go for it.

I gave a thumbs up behind Remy’s back, then rested them on his shoulders. God, those shoulders were hard and thick. His pecs were inches from my face and I wanted to bury my face in its furriness.

I watched Carl walk closer to Remy’s clothes and then I saw him fall. His body crashed onto the rocks and made a loud sound. What a fucking idiot.

Before Remy could turn around, I put my hands on his rugged jaw and pulled him in for a kiss. The energy was electrifying as he pulled me in close and sucked on my lips. He was so tall that I had to go all the way up on my tippy toes and he had to crouch down low to meet my lips.

His furry chest felt like a cashmere blanket on my body. His hands probed my back and gripped onto me hard. His lips... his lips tasted like salt water taffies and his beard prickled my bare face. I wanted that moment to last forever, to have such a sexy older man kiss me like that.

Remy pulled his face back and looked me in my eyes. I couldn’t see much into the darkness, just the outline of his face and his body.

When I looked back on the beach, I couldn't see Carl anywhere. I knew he had taken his gold watch.

  Mission complete.

  “Let’s go back, it’s cold,” I said.

Remy nodded and grabbed my hand to lead me back to shore.

My feet felt numb from the cold water. As I was about to take another step, I slipped on a rock and hit my knee hard onto the sharp and jagged rocks. Remy pulled me up in time before my head slammed onto the rocks.

I cried out in agony holding onto my knee. I couldn’t see much in the darkness but I was sure that I had broken something. There was blood everywhere.

“Fuck, Mateo. Are you alright?” Remy asked.

I shook my head. I hated how helpless I was in that moment, that I needed the help of a stranger. Someone who I met hours ago. I hated this feeling. Tears streamed down my face at the sharp pa
in that hurt even in the numbness of the cold water.

Remy kneeled down and put his arms behind my knees and on my back. In one strong swoop, he carried me in his arms. I rested my head on his chest and he walked us back to shore. He went up the plateau of rocks where we left our clothes and put me onto the ground.
