The Secrets We Keep Page 10

by David Horne

Curtis looked confused at first, but when Hartley wrapped his arms around Curtis’ neck and began kissing him, that confusion quickly cleared up. Hartley pushed Curtis’ back against the wall and began groping longingly at him. “We’ve got like, five, maybe ten minutes before they get suspicious,” he whispered in Curtis’ ear.

“I think five,” Curtis whispered back.

“Better make this quick, then,” Hartley half said and half-moaned into Curtis’ ear, in the sultriest voice he could manage.

Hartley could already feel Curtis’ growing cock against his crotch as they pressed their bodies up against one another. He dug around in his jacket pocket and took out a condom, pressing it into Curtis’ palm. “What are you waiting for, big boy?” he asked, in that same sultry voice. Then he leaned in so close that Curtis could feel breath on his neck, but whispered so quietly, Curtis had to strain to hear it. He clamped his teeth gently down on Curtis’ ear before he said the magic words. “Fuck my ass.”

Curtis almost exploded with excited aggression. He used his strong arms to pin Hartley against the wall, and Hartley reached around to tug down his pants at the seat, exposing his bare ass. Curtis was busy trying to open the condom and undo his jeans at the same time. Suddenly, he succeeded, and his huge cock sprung out at full mast, slapping against Hartley’s cheeks as it did do.

The feel of Curtis’ huge cock against his backdoor started making Hartley as excited as he’d ever been. If they were going to be caught having “adult relations”, as Curtis often called it, this would be the one that they were caught.

Curtis rolled the condom onto the head of his cock and all the way down to the base. It was a snug fit. Hartley let out a long, loud gasp as Curtis began to push his way in. If the door to the bunker had been left ajar, then the people outside 100% would have heard that.

“Aaaahhh,” Curtis and Hartley both groaned as one as Curtis bottomed out in him. Hartley placed his dainty palms against the wall that he was pushed up onto and then pushed back onto Curtis crotch, squeezing his cock with his ass muscles.

Curtis gasped and cursed every few moments and intermissions. He placed his hands on Hartley’s hips and pulled all the way out of Hartley’s ass until only the tip was in, then he slid it back in. And again. And again. Hartley began to pant and moan. “Come on, baby, fuck me!” he groaned. “Just like that, fuck me harder!”

Curtis placed his own hands on the wall and began ferociously pounding Hartley as hard as he could. Hartley’s grunts no longer sounded human, and it sounded as though a wild animal had been set loose in the house. “Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! You bad booyyy, fuck me just like that! Ugh, I love it! Fuck!”

“I’m going to cum!” Curtis groaned.

He pulled his cock out of Hartley’s ass, rolled the condom off, then began stroking it. Seconds later, he groaned the loudest groan so far as he shot his cum onto Hartley’s ass.

With a grunt of exhaustion, Curtis slumped his back against the wall, breathing heavily. “That was the best you’ve ever even-what the hell!”

Curtis had opened his eyes to a sight that was far from welcome. There stood Hartley, arm raised, and a pistol in his grip. “Sorry about this, Curt,” Hartley said, somewhat apologetically. “But we’re going to be taking all your rations off your hands after all.”

Curtis’ jaw dropped. “You did this! Just to get me alone?”

“I really should put you out of the game right now!” Hartley smirked. “But no, I have a better idea. Let’s move!”

What choice did he have? Curtis quickly yanked his jeans back up, re-clasped his belt and advanced outside, hands held high above his head.

“If you want him to stay in this game, throw your weapons down!” Hartley shouted to his brother and the two other Valiant team members.

Valon looked so disappointed, it almost broke Hartley’s heart, until he remembered that he was the one doing this. “So, I guess you can consider this game a win for Team Victor!” Hartley said brightly. “Nothing personal, you understand. But I must face the Invictus! I must; it’s like my birthright!”

Curtis turned to face Hartley. He was smiling. “This was well played, Hart. I must say.”

Hartley grinned. “Why, thank you. But you’re not going to charm your way out of this one, handsome.”

“Why would I, when I can do this?” Curtis asked.

Hartley frowned, wondering what he was talking about. A second later, he got his answer. Curtis dove left and Valon dove right for the briefest of seconds, he was crippled by indecision. He didn’t know who to aim at, where to point his gun, to fire or not to fire. And that split second of indecision was all it took, and all Curtis needed.

He lashed out with his foot at the back of Hartley’s knee, and down he went. His next kick was aimed at Hartley’s knuckles, and the sharp pain made his grip fly open, and the pistol flew into the air. The tallest out of everyone there, it was no contest for Curtis to catch it. He turned the pistol on Hartley. “How the tables have turned.”

“Not really,” said an unfamiliar voice.

Curtis looked up to see McCullough and the rest of Hartley’s guards pointing their guns at him. “Put it down, Holmes.”

Curtis cocked his head. “If you shoot me, I shoot him. Nobody wins.”

“Or we could just shoot you,” McCullough said dangerously. “If we hit you, then by the laws of the game, even if you hit Hartley, it’s not valid because you’re out.”

“And knowing this, you haven’t fired yet because you’re not sure if I can really hit him from this range,” Curtis noticed.

He glanced down and made the mistake of looking into Hartley’s eyes. He saw what was there, he saw someone who truly wanted to win. Someone who needed to win. And he dropped the gun. McCullough took her chance and shot Curtis right in the chest. The force of the blow sent him staggering backward, crying out from the pain.

  “You’re out,” McCullough breathed.

  Epilogue

“Okay, is this on? Hello? Okay, I think it’s on. Hey, Hartley, it’s Curtis. I know you haven’t heard from me in a while, and I’m sorry about that, but I’m sure you’ve been busy. Of course, I heard about you setting a new course record for the Invictus, the first American to set a record for it ever! That’s really good, hoss. and I’m proud of you.

“I know that I don’t always show it, and I’m sorry about that, but it’s hard for me. Feelings always have been. That’s not the kind of household that I grew up in, where you can just “share” your feelings. That’s not what we did. We just kept our feelings bottled up inside and kept it moving with our day.

“But if I’m honest, being with you has taught me how bad that is for you. Sharing feelings is an important step to change if there is actually going to be any. And so, this is a way that I feel comfortable sharing mine. Hopefully one, we’ll be able to talk about this face-to-face, but for now, this will have to do.

“My name is Curtis Stevens Holmes. I’m gay. In thinking about this, and the process of coming to terms with it, I’ve realized how important you are to me, Hartley. I’ve realized that you’re the only person who ever understood me, the only person who’s ever really loved me unconditionally. And you asked me once, for “more” You asked me to take that plunge with you, and I should have said yes. I should’ve run up and down and screamed and got excited, but I didn’t, because I didn’t know how to react. I thought could ignore it. But it turns out life doesn’t work that way. So. Hartley Erose, if you could see your way into accepting my accepting of your offer, I would love nothing more than to take that plunge with you.

  I love you. Curtis.”

Hartley stood silently after listening to the message that was left for him. He hadn’t heard from Curtis in a while, not after the game. He knew how much slack he had gone through for loosing for his team but it had meant a lot to Hartley, on some level he believed it was Curtis’ way of showing him what he meant to him and after listening to the voice recording Hartley had been rig
ht. He would be lying if he said he didn’t love Curtis in return, that had been the reason he had asked for more after all.

It didn’t take much for Hartley to react, a grin had spread across his face as his heart leaped in his chest. Finally, after so many years Curtis had admitted what had been going on all along and Hartley knew there was only one thing left for him to do.

He picked up his phone and dialed the first number he had saved on speed dial, the one number he hadn’t dialed in ages.

“Hello?” he said into the phone when the other line picked up, “it’s me.”

“Hartley,” the voice breathed. The way Curtis said his name was enough for him, almost pushing him over the edge.

“Curtis, the offer is definitely still on the table,” he said, his voice soft and shaky.

“I love you. I should’ve said it years ago and I’m stupid for denying it for so long but damn Hartley, I love you so much,” Curtis replied, his voice filled with emotion.

Hartley knew right then that he would go to the end of the earth for Curtis and he felt he would do the same. There was nothing stopping them now, they could finally be together and the thought of having a future with Curtis made Hartley's heart sing.
