  Rukhsana Khan is an award-winning author and storyteller who has published thirteen books. Big Red Lollipop, her most famous book, was chosen by the New York Public Library as one of the hundred greatest books from the last hundred years.

  Huda Al-Marashi is the author of the memoir First Comes Marriage: My Not-So-Typical American Love Story. Her other writing has appeared in the Washington Post, the LA Times, Al Jazeera, SELF, the New York Post, and elsewhere. She lives in California with her husband and their three children.   Ayesha Mattu is the editor of two groundbreaking anthologies, Love, InshAllah: The Secret Love Lives of American Muslim Women and Salaam, Love: American Muslim Men on Love, Sex, and Intimacy, featured globally in media from the New York Times to the Jakarta Post. Her essays have appeared in the Washington Post, the Establishment, the Good Girls Marry Doctors anthology, and elsewhere. She writes, paints, and drinks copious cups of chai in her beloved city, San Francisco.

  Candice Montgomery is the author of the young adult novels Home and Away and By Any Means Necessary, both of which feature intersectional Black teens. When not writing, she can be found teaching kids to dance or doing a little of the same herself.

  Aisha Saeed enjoys writing for all ages. She is the author of the young adult novel Written in the Stars (Penguin, 2015), the New York Times bestselling middle grade novel, Amal Unbound (Penguin, 2018), and the picture book Bilal Cooks Daal (Simon & Schuster, 2019). Aisha is also a founding member of the nonprofit We Need Diverse Books. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband and sons.

  Jamilah Thompkins-Bigelow is a lifelong educator with experience working both as an English teacher and a director of writing programs for youth. As a writer, she is best known for her picture books, including the critically praised, ALA Notable Book Mommy’s Khimar. She was raised in Philadelphia by an immigrant mother of the Mandinka Muslim culture and a Black American father who converted to Islam. She enjoys celebrating those cultures and all things Philly in the stories she writes.

  G. Willow Wilson is the author of the New York Times bestselling comic book series Ms. Marvel, winner of the 2015 Hugo Award for Best Graphic Story. Her first novel, Alif the Unseen, was a New York Times Notable Book of 2012, long-listed for the Women’s Prize for Fiction (formerly the Orange Prize), and winner of the World Fantasy Award for Best Novel. At San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that Willow would take over writing duties on the ongoing Wonder Woman comic book series in November 2018.
