Cocky M.D.: Single Dad Fake Fiancee Romance (Steel Series Book 5) Page 7

by Victoria Pinder

I read what she meant and said, “Dresses, shoes, jewels, cars… whatever you need to be a proper Mrs. Dawes.”

She covered her mouth and shook her head. “This all seems… too much.”

I was ready for her. I licked my lips, and once she showed me hers again, I asked, “So your objection is that you want less money?”

Olivia let out a sigh. “I guess.” She waved a hand at the next section. “We already talked about sex, but twice a week at a minimum is pretty clear.”

Once I’d had sex with her dozens of times, maybe I would be less focused on having her and tasting every cell of her body. I took her hand, and our palms touching sent a ripple effect through me and made me ache to pull her closer. “It’s also the bare minimum. Even if we’re fighting and want to tear each other’s heads off, we still find a way to fuck it out.”

She bowed her head like I’d offended her. “That’s graphic.”

I let her go. It was one of my biggest clauses I wanted, but I kept that to myself. “Being a doctor, I think the couples that enjoy each other sexually are the ones that work together better.”

She initialed the paper and said, “I’ve never thought about it, but twice seems fine.”

  She flipped the page.

I knew what came next, and my skin heated. The idea of being ungloved inside of Olivia made me ache. “What about you having a child?”

She stroked her neck like she was hot. I reached under my desk and handed her a bottle of water, but I paused when she said, “I’m hoping you can put in a six-month hold so that we can get used to each other first before you start trying to impregnate me.”

I wanted to be good and hold my tongue. I really did, but I stared into her brown eyes and didn’t move as I told her the absolute truth. “Good, because I want to know what it’s like to be fully inside you.”

She wiped a tear from her eyes, but the grin on her face showed that she didn’t seem that flustered as she asked, “Why are you so dirty mouthed sometimes?”

I sat back and stared unabashedly at her breasts. Then I blinked and glanced up. “Because I like to see your reaction. You seriously have no poker face.”

Olivia chuckled and asked, “Is that bad?”

Britney was probably exactly like Ruby—raised in luxury, and nothing fazed her, as she knew that with the snap of her fingers, she could have whatever she wanted. While that had been my childhood, too, Olivia represented something of a novelty, and her reactions made me study her. “It’s sweet and one of the benefits of picking you as my wife.”

She put her pen to the paper and signed the last page then flipped through the first few and initialed all the spots. When she finished, she pushed the paper back at me and said, “Done, and I’m ready.”

I laughed, as she hadn’t done much negotiating at all. I hoped she’d worked out whatever doubts plagued her. “And you’re okay with setting the wedding date as soon as possible?”

She pointed out the window and asked, “Can we have it there, in the backyard?” Simplicity worked, and she would likely get along with doctors’ spouses, none of whom had my resources.

  “That’s all you want?”

She nodded, and that was all it took for me, as now we could do whatever she wanted.

“It’s pretty here.” She sucked in her bottom lip.

I wasn’t sure why she hadn’t kissed me yet. I wanted those lips on me. “Will you want any particular witnesses?”

She stood, and I jumped up with the hope that she would finally start touching me.

“My family is away, and that’s tomorrow’s goal… tell them I’m getting married.”

I stopped and asked quickly, “Why did you wait?” I swallowed and stared at her lips. If I were leading, I would have already pushed her against the wall, but it was important that she chose us.

“I wanted us to have this conversation and sort out… me. Now let’s head to the bedroom.”

No rug for a quickie, though I imagined it quickly. I led her to the dining room, where a display of rings was set up, then we would head upstairs.

She stilled and pressed her hand to my heart. “These rings are pretty. But I thought we were going to the store.”

I pressed on her lower back, half daring myself to break my vow. “I figured we could move this part up and not have to go anywhere. As a Dawes, I can have the store showcase brought to me.”

She picked up some of the rings, her eyes wide. “I’m used to standing in line.”

I pressed my body against hers and asked, “Is that why you’re making me wait?”

She turned toward me, and my heart lifted as she said, “I didn’t think we’d make this stop right now.”

I traced her arm. “I followed your list, and I don’t want you regretting anything.”

Olivia curled her hands around my waist. “We’ll get to know each other with time.” “

“I’d like to take my time and savor you.”

  “Good plan.”

My heart rate sped up. That’s fucking good. But her lips hadn’t gone up to meet mine, and my body tensed. “So once you’ve picked, we can head to your apartment.”

She picked up a ring and asked, “Do you like this ring?”

I nodded. “It’s pear-shaped, which I should have known was your style.”

She put it on her finger and held out her hand. “Why?”

I almost broke my vow, as her skin looked delicious, but I let her go and said, “Because you’re unusual and sweet.”

She didn’t move, and my heart thumped.

  “Bradley is quiet,” she said.

Her fingers brushed against my chest, and I didn’t move. “He went to the supermarket with the cook.”

She looked up at me. “Can I get on with those text messages so that I can help out with Bradley? He’s why I’m here, after all.”

How is she not turned on and achy with need? “That’s all you want?”

She closed her eyes and hugged me. Her touch sent a thrill through my veins. “Well, I was thinking maybe we’re done with the plans now and you’ll kiss me.”

“My lips are right here if you want a taste before stripping naked for me.”

Her eyes sparkled, and she went up on her tiptoes and pressed her lips against mine.

“Finally,” I mumbled as I tugged her closer and stroked her back.

Now she’ll be mine, and nothing will stand in my way. Her kiss started a fire that engulfed me in a way I’d never thought possible and absolutely never wanted to stop. It was past time for me to have her.

  Chapter Nine

  Olivia

Johnny led me to his bedroom, and when his door slammed, my heart raced.

I backed away from him as he flipped the lights on and headed toward the windows.

I was ready, but my skin had goose bumps, and adrenaline rushed through my body. I needed to calm down, so I glanced at the midday sun and closed my eyes to let the warmth of the day be all I focused on.

He tossed his shirt, which I’d tugged over his shoulders earlier, next to me, and I jumped.

Damn. I bit my lip and hoped that if I took a moment, I wouldn’t tremble.

His hand went to my shoulder, and he said, “Don’t be scared, Olivia. I would never hurt you.”

“I’m not.” I turned and let out a small giggle. His muscular body was perfection, and my fingers reached to touch him again, but I held back and let out a small sigh. “I wanted to come to you last night, but when you didn’t kiss me in the morning, I thought…”

His lips curved into a smile. “I waited for you to make the first move.”

  “Really?”

  “Absolutely.”

I took a deep breath, like I was about to let out a secret, and finished, “I thought you were mad at me for making you wait.”

He bumped into my side gently and said, “I wasn’t mad. I needed you to be sure.”

I took his hand and squeezed it. “My sisters say I don’t always speak u
p right away or decide quickly enough. I’m trying to work on that.”

Heat rose in my body as he guided me to sit on the window seat. We settled into it, and since it was built for one, we were snug. One of my legs was in his lap.

He asked, “Why do you do that?”

I met his gaze and saw how relaxed he was. “Because I never want to make mistakes, and going too fast overwhelms me.”

He curled his arm more around my back and asked, “Not because you doubt?”

A chuckle escaped my lips, and I played with my necklace. “There is that, a little, but I’ve figured out that my first instinct is usually right, so I try to follow my heart.”

He massaged my lower back a little, and my heart fluttered, but I didn’t move. “That’s hard to imagine.”

A laugh helped me relax, though his touch set me off. “Because you say what you think, no matter if you should or shouldn’t?”

“In part.” He bobbed his head and held me close. “I’ve never been denied anything, really. I do keep my personality low-key at work, but I get to be myself most of the time.”

I raised an eyebrow. “So you have a filter.”

The twinkle in his eyes was still there. “A little bit.”

I let my fingers brush against his six-pack abs. They were like a washboard. I sucked on my lip and wondered what putting our bodies together skin to skin might do to me, but I ignored the heat rushing in my veins and said, “That’s never been me. I don’t always trust myself.”

He gently squeezed my hip and asked, “So what about me and us made you hit the pause button?”

“It wasn’t you.” I pushed my hair behind my ears. “We’re going at lightning speed.” I gently stroked his belly, and his muscles contracted. My body heated, and I lowered my lashes and said, “The last guy I dated was like two years ago, and we’d probably dated six months before we… well…”

He cupped my cheek. “Had sex?”

“Yeah.” I giggled as he put his hands on my body. Even though I had a shirt and a skirt on, he made me aware of every cell in my body. “And honestly… I was bored and wishing I were home, watching a movie instead.”

Johnny’s eyes widened. I had no idea why I was being so honest.

His lips came closer to mine, and he asked, “What do you feel when I touch you?”

My hand went higher and stopped near his heart as I said, “Like I’m about to explode.”

His smile was infectious. “So better than watching TV.”

I threw my head back and laughed but then sighed as his fingers curled around my neck, and I inched closer. “The rest of the world disappears when I’m with you.”

His eyes met mine, and I felt on edge.

“You’re surprisingly sweet, Olivia. It’s why I asked you.”

“Just kiss me,” I said and puckered my lips.

His lips met mine, and the rest of the world melted away.

I wiggled more onto his lap, and he held my thighs so that I could kiss him fully.

Damn. My soul soared from being in his arms. His cock under me teased my center for more.

As he kissed me, his hands cupped my ass, and we continued to make out like teenagers.

My heart fluttered, and my nipples hardened.

With me on top of him, he could tease my lady parts, where more blood began to flow as I became more aware of his arousal.

Pleasure rushed through me, and he squeezed my butt cheeks as he stood, carrying me.

My skin buzzed with desire. I suckled on his neck, and his smell was manly and intoxicating.

He laid me on the bed, and I trembled as he helped tug my shirt off.

I held up my hands, hungry for more. Fire grew inside me, and my breasts swelled and ached to be released from my bra.

He wiggled my skirt off, so we were both just in our underwear. Then he hugged me, and his hard-on made me ready for more.

Johnny let me go, pulled back, and stripped his underwear off in one move. I laughed again as he nuzzled me, savoring the sensation that I was warm and only his forever.

Maybe it was only the ring on my finger that made me feel ready, but I pulled down my underwear and tossed them.

His fingers caught mine when I went for my bra, and he slowly removed my last bit of clothing.

My muscles tensed when my bra slipped off my shoulders, and I gazed at him as he stared at my breasts like I was everything he’d ever wanted.

My nipples were sensitive and tightened into berries because of his intense interest.

My muscles tensed and spasmed as he lowered his face within a breath of my flesh. His tongue slipped between his lips, and he plucked one ripe berry into his mouth then the other. I sighed and put my hands into his hair.

The apex of my thighs was swelling with need.

As he sucked, passion raced through me, and I felt ready for more.

Damn, he’d tempt a saint. I wasn’t anywhere near that good. His fingers went lower while he laved my nipples. I bucked as he flicked my womanhood.

The bulge of his dick was enormous. My breathing increased, and I trembled.

He lifted his face from my breasts and gazed into my eyes before dropping a kiss onto my stomach and sliding down until his lips joined his teasing fingers on my clit.

I looked down as he licked my nether lips like I was candy.

Need grew inside me, and he stroked me like his tongue knew my body better than I did. I was inflamed, my blood racing as he licked and sucked me like I was a delectable treat.

My feet spasmed as he opened my thighs wider and that wicked tongue of his nudged my core.

Heat grew all over my body as my girly parts contracted, and a storm took over my body and swept me into a tornado of excitement.

All I could do was moan and hold my legs as he licked my center. He was a master. I was lost in the storm wrought by his fingers and his tongue.

Just as a wave rushed over me, another stronger one exploded in my loins.

I needed him to be inside of me. I drew him up the length of my body and kissed his juicy lips. The tip of his dick pressed against my swollen lady parts.

“Now?” he whispered against my mouth.

“Oh god, yes.” His penis entered the inferno of my body, and I quaked against him. His staff pumped into me, and my nipples were as hard as rocks. His hand slid up my side, and he cupped my breast, pinching my nipple until I cried out. I was half crazed with desire.

My muscles contracted, and he pressed my buttons like his tool was the missing part of my center.

He ravished me and drilled hard, then nirvana exploded inside me. I was his. I surrendered.

  Chapter Ten

  Olivia

I was warm, and my skin, pressed against Johnny’s under the covers, still tingled.

I must have slept, though. I batted my eyes open then met his brown ones, which were staring down at me as he held me close, and warmth spread through me.

The sex had been mind-blowing. He traced my lower back, and his lips curved into a smile. He asked, “So what movie were you thinking about?”

I pinched his arm muscle and wiggled up higher on the bed and said, “You’re bad.”

“You don’t have any idea, sweetheart.”

“I think last night, on that ride, gave me a sense of it.”

“Ride, huh?” He sat up and peeked under the sheets at my naked body. “You’re expected to do this over and over again as my wife.”

A laugh escaped my throat, and I sat up and curled my legs on his. I didn’t want the moment to end, but I forced myself to roll my eyes and said, “I suppose I’ll have to.”

I put my hand on my forehead for emphasis, and he chuckled.

Johnny patted my thigh and caressed my still-swollen womanhood, then he stopped and said, “If you make a list, we can just send my staff to gather whatever you want, and I can replace whatever you don’t need from your apartment.”

“No,” I said and uncurled myself. Then I stretched
and glanced over my shoulder. “I guess we should get dressed and go to my apartment.”

He stood, and his muscular frame still made me weak at the knees, but he grabbed his underwear and hid that glorious muscular ass of his as he asked, “Why did you live there and work as a teacher?”

I slipped into the bathroom to clean up a little and called, “Everyone has to work to pay the bills.”

When I finished up and headed out, I saw the jeans from earlier on his bed. He tugged them on and continued our conversation like no time had passed. “Your sisters are married to successful men. I don’t understand.”

I’d thought I made it clear earlier. I fixed my bra and tugged my shirt over my head. “And I’m happy for them, but I told you that I’m not looking for a handout. They met their husbands, but we weren’t born rich.”

His gaze narrowed, like he didn’t believe me. “How did they meet?”

I tugged my jeans on and joined him at the door. “Which one?”

He held it for me, and I went through, then he came beside me as we headed down the hall and the stairs. “All of them.”

I folded my hands in front of me and remembered that he didn’t know my family. And I would have to explain him to all of my sisters. “Well, Georgie met Michael Irons—”

  “The baseball player?”

“Yes. She met him years ago on vacation and got pregnant then took off without finding out who he was because our dad had died suddenly. She had no idea who Michael was until she went to a baseball game years later.”

He held the front door for me as he said, “Then she was lucky.”

“That’s it. All my sisters were.” I grabbed my bag in the closet and followed him out as I said, “Jacob saw my sister Indigo in the lobby of a hotel in Vegas, so the story goes, and fell in love with her on the spot and asked her to marry him.”

“Apparently that runs in your family.” He directed me to his Mercedes and held my door. “Because you are beautiful.”

Heat rose to my cheeks. He probably knew the Donovans or something. My heart sped up a little. “And Ridley and Carter were named co-guardians of their best friend’s daughter, whom they both wanted to protect after her parents were in a crash.”
