The Rest of Forever Page 21

by Kitty Berry

“Arms above your head and lie still. I’ll make you come when I’m good and ready.”

I climb off the bed and smirk at my girl as she groans in frustration. My fingers fumble over the buttons on my dress shirt then I shrug it off with my suit jacket. My trousers are next as I lower them with my boxers to free my erection before climbing back on the bed to straddle Jordan. “I think maybe you should watch me jack off at the sight of you.”

  “Yes.”

“You love watching me driven to the point of insanity because of your pussy, don’t you?”

“I told you, I love everything about you.”

“This isn’t going to be a long engagement. You understand that, right? Make any plans you want for it, but this wedding happens before you start Harvard.”

  “About that…”

“What?” I ask as I begin to stroke my length and offer Jordan the tip for a lick. “Mmm, feels good when you lick me, but no distracting. What’s going on in that head of yours?” I ask as I flop to Jordan’s side and then pull her and prop her up with the pillows against the headboard for this conversation.

Jordan sighs. “I don’t want to stop, Callan. Come on, you made me so wet, I need you to finish what you started.”

“We have a whole lifetime to do that,” I say. “But right now, I want to know what ‘about that’ means.”

“I hated when I was an undergrad. Being up north in school and away from you was torture back then. Remember how you’d come see me on the weekends if you weren’t working a job and I’d try my best to get into the city? I hated those days. I don’t want…”

“Stop. This is different. I’ll go with you.”

“Callan, you’ve got a job in Falls Village.”

I brush her off. “Teyler doesn’t need me. The people in town leave him alone. If he needs safety from anyone, it’s Colleen, and I’m not getting my ass tangled up in their drama. I get enough from you,” I say with a smile.

“I’m serious. I don’t want to go to Boston. I was thinking about pulling out weeks ago.”

“Jordan Collins,” I scold. “My wife is not a quitter.”

“I’m not. I didn’t say I wasn’t going to get my Ph.D, I’m just not moving away from you to do it. I can still attend the program and do most of my work online. I’d need to go into Boston once or twice a month.”

  “Oh, that’s different.”

“Yup, so we can have the best of both worlds. I’ll still get my degree, and we won’t have to be apart. You can come with me, or we can survive a few days away from each other. When I get back, we’ll have hot, frantic sex.”

“I want that right now,” I state as I stroke my dick faster, my palm squeezing tight. “I’m fucking hard, baby.”

“I can see that, Callan. It’s hard to miss.”

Without any more preamble, I move between her legs, brace my weight on the headboard and thrust my cock into her body. “So fucking hot and tight.”

  “Callan!”

“I know, you want it hard?” I ask as I thrust into her with all my might, giving her hard thrusts on fast strokes.

“Or,” I change my speed and rhythm as she begins to tighten around me, and I feel a gush of her arousal coating my dick, “slow and gentle? Hmm? I can keep dragging my dick through your pussy like this and hold you on the edge for hours.”

“You’re going to make me come either way, Callan. I’m right there.”

  “I won’t be far behind.”

“Good, then make me come” she begs.

I quicken my pace and give us the best of both worlds, hard thrusts done slowly so she feels every inch of my length while my girth fills and stretches her. Then I lower my thumb to press on her clit and she lights up like a Christmas tree on Christmas morning.

“So beautiful when you come. Your sounds, your scent, the way your eyes slide shut then open to find mine. Fuck, baby, I’m going to come.”

In five more strokes, I’m in heaven, my dick spurting inside her, filling her with my release before I collapse and flick the knot of my tie loose so as not to jeopardize her circulation.

I kiss the tip of her nose when she flops on my chest.

“I want to get married at the castle,” she states, and I agree to give her anything and everything she wants for the rest of forever.

  Epilogue

Upon moving into our castle, Jordan and I began researching the history of the Ingram and Charleston families, their feud, and the rumors of criminal activities.

Once upon a time in a faraway land, a well-to-do family lived in a shining castle perched on a cliff that overlooked a small marina town. Although the Ingrams had everything they could ever want or need, it was never enough. As the younger generation was coming of age, they were spoiled, selfish, and unkind. They entertained only the most beautiful of people at their castle with the perfect view of the lighthouse. They partied and indulged in all the pleasures life had to offer. The men used their genetically good looks to lure many young tourist girls to their abode.

One summer’s night, a young, stunning girl visiting Falls Village with her family, went to the castle but never returned. Her parents reported the tragedy to the authorities, but they assured them that she was probably just enjoying the company and warmth of one of the young Ingram men and their bed. Knowing that their daughter wasn’t the type of woman to engage in such behaviors, they pledged to find her on their own.

When they arrived at the home of the rich family, they were greeted by one of the young bachelors and asked for information about their daughter, the young man sneered at the thought of debauchery and turned the tourist family away. But the young girl’s father warned him not to be deceived by their outward appearance of modest means. And when he dismissed them again, the father vowed his vengeance on the Ingram family and their castle.

Walter Charleston refused to leave Falls Village until he found out what had befallen upon his daughter. He bought the piece of land on the cliff across from the Ingram castle and erected his own, modeled after theirs. He spared no amount of money, sweat, or blood.

Walter and his wife moved in and began to chronicle the happenings from across the way. Ashamed of the behaviors they witnessed from the Ingram castle, the Charlestons were sure their daughter had fallen prey to one of the men who sought a different woman for their manly needs each evening.

As the years went on, the Charlestons accused the Ingrams of illegal activities with ties to the mob, drugs, sex trafficking, and even murder, but their daughter was never found.

After Walter and his wife’s passing, the castle went unoccupied for many years. Their sons uninterested in it, the town of Falls Village eventually came to own the land, but never sold the plot. The Ingram family continued as they had been, handing their castle down from generation to generation, using it for their extravagant parties, elaborate lifestyles, and possibly, their illegal activities.

I find a way to make the contract and agreement I made with Maxwell James work for me. Well, part of it. The movie was still going to be filmed here.

Being a man who dislikes social interactions, the last thing I could live with is tourists meandering over my grounds, taking pictures, and asking questions. Instead, I used my skills to divert them to Carson Ingram’s home and killed two birds with one stone. I am now avoiding the tourists because after they find themselves being less than graciously greeted by Carson, most of them don’t bother to make their way up the other steep cliff in Falls Village to my home where Jordan and I are living in peaceful wedded bliss.

Sure, I did as I said I would when I signed on the dotted line for the castle. I paid an arm and a leg to have Pete Roman and Mason James remodel the insanely large dwelling while keeping its old charm and integrity. I also added an information hut of sorts where tourists can read about the Ingram/Charleston feud and fantasize about the rumors of sexual debauchery, riches…and murder. I highlighted the long-time fable and for all intents and purposes, set up an area at the entranc
e of my property as a museum of sorts that chronicled the saga of the two families and would draw tourists to Falls Village once again. I also sucked it up and let the plans for the next Hollywood blockbuster begin.

The problem was, I didn’t want the area around my castle open to people. I’m sure Carson didn’t want strangers on his property either, but that’s what he’s getting because when it comes to smarts and manipulation abilities, I win the race.

I’ve figured out a way to confuse the tourists as to which castle they should visit, and I directed the traffic of visitors to Carson Ingram’s place instead of mine.

Unfortunately, it hadn’t taken Carson nearly as long as I thought it would to figure it out and a new battle is currently underway.

I need to hand it to Carson Ingram. He’s smarter and more devious than I thought anyone could ever be. The recluse continues to alert the tourists who I redirect to his castle about Teyler Walker’s Falls Village history and drama and his impending nuptials soon taking place at my castle. So now, Teyler Walker and I are fighting off not only tourists who want to learn more about what happened to that Charleston girl from another century, we’re also dealing with fans who have become obsessed with Teyler and Colleen’s love story from years ago.

I don’t need Scooby and the gang to figure out who leaked that story to the press.

Oh, Carson Ingram…it is so on!

And I have a secret weapon on my side…Beast and his little mangy friends. Because little does Carson know; half of the pet shelter has been paid for by me.

When Jenny decided to leave school after returning for her second year and having her roommate report Beast’s presence, she returned to Falls Village insisting that her college life on campus sucked right along with her non-existent love life. She returned to Falls Village and moved into Elliot and Courtney’s B and B.

Not long after returning, Jenny found love in Falls Village when she met Lucas Hart. And not just love, Jenny gave him her virginity when things between them were going strong. But as I know better than anyone, things don’t always stay that way, and my sister-in-law found her own brand of drama.

By then, Beast had already grown on me. So, when Joey only gave Jenny enough money to begin her renovations of the animal shelter in Port View Center, I quietly and anonymously gave her the rest. I publicly gave her my support and encouraged her to do whatever it was that would make her happy, but I couldn’t let everyone know that I’d grown this soft over a mangy mutt.

Never in a million years would I have ever thought that I’d be living in a castle that was set up to provide tours to the public, and the future set of the next Hollywood blockbuster. I never could have imagined being married to a woman who accepts me, quirks, rigidity, and all, but here I am.

And life, all of it, was working in my favor. Because I recently and conveniently discovered that Carson Ingram possibly hates animals more than I do, so having a bunch of mangy mutts at my disposal is perfect. Look at me, here I am…a man functioning in society as a husband and a friend for the rest of forever.

  Puppy Love

  Falls Village Collection: Book 2

  Jenny Collins

My college life sucks, my nonexistent love life sucks, and I’m tired of being the naïve little sister. My four older siblings are creating their dream lives with the ones they love, and I’m left staring longingly at their robust social media pages. I need change. I need to find who I am and what I want in life. I thought by bringing Beast, my Chihuahua pug mix, with me to college that it would improve my shitty disposition; it had until my heartless roommate ratted me out for having “contraband” living in the dorm with me. Maybe I need to leave, hit the road to start again somewhere new.

  Somewhere like Falls Village.

  Lucas Hart

My grandfather is dead, our family business, is failing, and my high-school sweetheart — now ex-fiancée — has left me. She claims that I’m depressed, and she ‘can’t deal’ with my melancholy mood anymore. My life is falling apart, I mean, how else should I react? I need change. I need to start over. If I restart my life, I’ll feel more like me again. I need to ditch this place and start again somewhere new.

  Somewhere like Falls Village.

  About the Author

Kitty Berry grew up an only child who never wished for a sibling in a small town in Connecticut. After graduating with a degree in Early Childhood Special Education, she began teaching in the field and started to raise a family. Her literary influences happened later in life when she stumbled upon The Pilot’s Wife by Anita Shreve after seeing it featured on the Oprah Show. It was her late mother’s (whose name she uses as a pen name) desire of becoming a writer that prompted Kitty to create a contemporary romantic series.

Being a creative person by nature who came into writing during a time in her life when the busy balance of career and family made her crave an escape into the world of romance, Kitty took that desire and turned it into a romantic series that offers the reader multidimensional characters.

In 2013, she published her first novel from The Stone Series: Sliding. Since then she has written ten other novels in that series, among them Stoned, Second Chances, Surrender, Starting Over, and Silence. The final installment, Survivor was released in 2016. A holiday edition was released in late 2018.

Since then, Berry has released a trilogy titled, The Anatomy of Love and written a carry-over stand-alone novel, Vines of Ivy. In 2019, she released the Compatible Companions Trilogy.

Because angst-ridden, plot-driven, women’s contemporary romances mesmerize Kitty, Berry writes only in that genre. While each book in The Stone Series can stand alone with its own story, Berry’s intention was to create carry-over characters to satisfy the need of the reader to know more after each novel ends. As an avid reader herself, Kitty enjoys the feeling of being there with the characters inside the story and often finds herself wanting to know more about them, missing them when the story is over, and becoming excited all over again when she discovers those familiar characters in subsequent novels. It is her hope that The Stone Series will do the same for her readers.

Kitty is married to a man she met in graduate school and has three boys who are almost men.

Kitty recently founded RomantiConn (a romance author signing event held annually in CT) and is currently working on the Falls Village anthology hybrid with her fellow RomantiConn authors.
