Turn 19

From the Notes of Sherry Sears

File 1119: Seth Sears vs Lloyd Cromwell.

  Winner: Seth Sears.

  Turn count: 53

  Pieces lost: 6 pawns.

Outcome: Seth Sears advanced to next round. With his intel relayed, Lloyd and his son Thomas practically vanished as they flew back to England, their trip made without anyone ever coming close to figuring out who they really were. It seems that no one else managed to hear what they had to say, though you can never be sure these days.

Between Volgin, Void, and a new Metal Tank, Ingersoll’s Hounds went from being a mere pest to the very handgun used by the Devil himself to destroy humanity. After a meeting with Jack, who’s own teams have discovered the same but had lacked the means to confirm it, we no longer consider Cato and his so called sons as the biggest threat to the Instrumentality Project but Void and his dogs of war. We would crush them today if they hadn’t so fully integrated themselves into European cities like London, Amsterdam, and Paris.

Thankfully, their spread seems to be contained for now. Germany, Spain, Russia, and a few other Eastern blocs still loyal to the old communist regime distrust these PMCs just as much as they continue to hate either us capitalists, in the case of the former Soviet territory, or large scale mercenary armies, in the case of Spain and Germany. This’ll keep them containable, if only too small for us to take direct action against.

My only concern, the more I think about it, is that even if he is a genius, there’s no way that Thomas Cromwell should have found this out on his own. Logic tells me that Void wanted to be discovered, to show his hand and tell us to back the hell off unless we wanted to start nuclear Armageddon. Even if his Metal Tank isn’t ready, he could simply detonate the missiles he has and irradiate the western half of Europe. No, our discovery simply puts the two of us on a timetable before full blown conflict breaks out; it doesn’t make a lick of difference to Void now that he’s been discovered.

(File Opened and released publically to counteract Ingersoll’s propaganda machine. The era of Black Ops is dead, the world that the true Big Boss envisioned having become a reality where soldiers dominate the streets. It’s the wild west all over again; get your friends and bring them with you. Everyday draws us closer to our last and final shoot out. Remember the Alamo?)
