‘Smith, its Ben. We’ve secured Stanley; he is now in the prison.’ Ben’s voice spoke into a loudspeaker phone that was on the office’s desk.

‘Excellent work, Ben. I take it he rejected our offer then?’

‘He was most opposed to the idea, not sure why although I tried to make him see sense. He tried to attack me tied to a bloody chair. What kind of a lunatic is he?’

‘A very bitter one that’s for sure. Any other issues?’

‘One minor problem. All taken care of,’ he added hastily. ‘Roger, the Faction member attempted to escape whilst being escorted up to your office and Russell was forced to kill him. Rather inconvenient so we lost our source of information on their whereabouts.’

‘Hmm, a setback yes, but nothing we won’t get over, have no fear about that. Now I have some news for you. In a month’s time I want every soldier to be released and sent out into the field, under cover of darkness of course, leaving only a skeleton crew to run the training compound. I will personally be there to oversee this. I have also received direct orders from Mr Wyatt that the rockets should be launched that night. I want the place tightly secured OK?’

‘Of course, that won’t be a problem, sir. We shouldn’t have any problems. How fast do you want us to push the prisoners in expanding the complex?’

‘They’re all disposable so push them until they drop dead if you have to. The faster it’s complete the better.’

  ‘Yes sir.’

‘Good. Then we will see each other soon, Rebirth is on its way to becoming reality.’
