Tang Hao grinned curiously. “Why, Cousin Brother, are you rich now?”

Tang Bowen’s eyes flashed with panic when their eyes met. “Isn’t that so? My family isn’t as poor as yours. A cup of coffee here is nothing to me.”

Tang Hao surveyed his clothes. “Tsk tsk! Your clothes must be expensive too!”

Tang Bowen was immediately angry. “What do you mean, Tang Hao? Are you envious?”

The young girl next to him furrowed his brows and said disdainfully. “How can you speak to your cousin brother like that? It’s OK if you’d rather reject Bowen’s kind offer for buying you coffee, but why are you taunting him? People from mountain villages are all like you; uncivilized and unmannered.”

“That’s right, how low-uncouth!” Another girl said.

“Hey, kid, since you’re not from Z University, who are you trying to fool? Do you think you deserve to sit here? Get lost from my face now!”

“That’s right! Go away! Not everyone can step into Z University.” Two boys started yelling at him.

Tang Bowen smirked when he saw the scene. His eyes flashed with satisfaction.

“Whatever. My younger cousin brother is a petty person. He’s just envious of me; you don’t have to mind him,” he said pretentiously.

Tang Hao chuckled. “Why, isn’t Z University for everyone?”

“Of course. This is Z University. You can’t expect to find common rabble here.” One of the boys spoke mockingly.

“You don’t own the place. Why do you care if I’m waiting for someone here?” Tang Hao said coldly.

“You…” That boy was immediately angry. His eyes bulged as he glared at Tang Hao.

“Whatever. There’s no point in talking sense to trash like him. Let’s go sit over there,” Tang Bowen said. He led the group to another corner of the cafe and sat down.

Tang Hao could not be bothered with them. He continued waiting.

About ten minutes later, a commotion was heard from outside the cafe.

A beautiful figure appeared at the entrance.

  Chapter 142 - Dumbstruck

The cafe immediately descended into complete silence.

Everyone’s eyes were focused on the beautiful young woman who had come in from the entrance.

The young woman was tall, slender, and curvaceous. She wore a pure white dress that flaunted her flawless legs, and she had a face that could launch a thousand ships.

As she walked, her long black hair waved and shimmered like a waterfall. The morning sun shone on her face, enveloping it in a thin layer of light, as though she had walked out of a dream.

She was like the moon which outshone all the stars in the night sky.

Her arrival at the cafe had outshone everyone around her.

All the eyes in the cafe were focused on her. The boys all looked infatuated, while the girls felt slightly ashamed of themselves.

She was too beautiful. Perhaps that was an example of someone with the face of an angel and the body of a devil.

She was the new beauty queen, Liu Bingyao.

Everyone at Z University knew who Liu Bingyao was. She had caused a commotion on Orientation Day. Many college seniors had crowded around to look at her, which caused a massive traffic jam.

After that, she had become the goddess of many male students in the university.

“Oh my god! It’s the beauty queen! She’s too beautiful!” Exclamations were heard in the cafe.

The boys looked at her eagerly with unblinking eyes. Even Tang Bowen and the other guys in his group all looked starstruck.

A crowd gathered outside of the cafe to look inside through the glass windows.

“Why would the beauty queen be having coffee alone?”

Everyone’s eyes sparkled. A few were raring to make a move.

Liu Bingyao’s eyes swept over the interior of the cafe. Suddenly, she fixed her gaze upon a seat near the window, then walked toward there.

Everyone followed her gaze and they naturally saw Tang Hao.

  They were immediately stunned.

There were plenty of empty seats available in the cafe. Why was the beauty queen heading there? Right, she must like window seats!

There was only one available window seat left in the cafe, and it was next to the shabby kid.

  “F*ck! Who’s this kid? He’s so lucky!”

The boys in the cafe were staring daggers at Tang Hao.

Meanwhile, Tang Bowen was taken aback. When he came to his senses, his expression looked ghastly.

He was extremely envious. In his eyes, his younger cousin brother was a useless person who did not belong in Z University, much less have the new beauty queen sit next to him.

‘Don’t! Don’t sit there!’ All the boys in the cafe were thinking of the same thing.

They silently looked at Liu Bingyao, praying to all their gods that she would not sit next to that kid.

Even so, Liu Bingyao stopped walking when she was next to that seat. She looked at Tang Hao and smiled.

The smile was like a million flowers blooming in spring and brightened the surroundings.

Tang Hao was caught in a daze. She had dressed up to meet him. She wore light make-up and a pair of crystal earrings. Her hair was combed straight and draped over her shoulders.

Tang Hao thought that she was more beautiful than the last time they met.

  “You’re here!” He smiled.

“Yup! Sorry to keep you waiting!” Liu Bingyao covered her mouth and smiled, then sat down.

Everyone in the cafe turned into the stone when they overheard the conversation. Their eyes bulged and their faces displayed extremely incredulity.

‘Oh my god! What did I just hear?’

The two people knew each other? Furthermore, the beauty queen was at the cafe for a date with the shabby kid?

It seemed that the two were very close to each other too!

Everyone was stunned. They could not believe it.

Who was Liu Bingyao but a goddess-level figure in Z University, and who was the kid, who looked somewhat handsome but dressed shabbily?

Many people overheard Tang Bowen’s conversation with him and knew that the kid was not a student of Z University, but only a poor kid from a mountain village. How did these two people know each other?

As a beauty queen, Liu Bingyao was not short of pursuers. No one had been able to catch her attention, so how could she be so friendly toward this poor village kid?

Tang Bowen was stunned. “This is impossible…” he mumbled.

The other people in his group were also slack-jawed.

They could not believe that the person the kid was waiting for was Z University’s beauty queen!

They had looked at him with condescension earlier, but now, they looked at him with envy.

Liu Bingyao stuck out a tongue at Tang Hao when she noticed the awkward atmosphere of her surroundings. “Should we… go somewhere else?” She said with a smile.

“It’s fine!” Tang Hao said, then beckoned to a waitress.

Both of them ordered a vanilla latte each.

“That will be forty yuan!” The waitress said.

“Let me pay for it!” Liu Bingyao said as she took her wallet out.

“No, let me take this one!” Tang Hao said urgently.

Then, he retrieved his wallet from his pocket. He went cross-eyed when he opened it. He had only about twenty yuan worth of cash inside.

He did not keep a lot of cash in his wallet. Instead, his pocket dimension carried stacks of banknotes worth more than a million yuan.

He could have retrieved the money from his pocket dimension, but he did not want to be mistaken for performing a magic trick in public!

The waitress was also stunned when she saw his wallet.

Who would take the beauty queen on a date and forget to bring money?

“I’ll pay for it then!” Liu Bingyao smiled.

Everyone exclaimed in surprise when they saw the scene.

  “Oh my
god! This kid forgot to bring money!”

  “He’s a genius!”

Tang Hao grunted disdainfully and his gaze was sinister. “Are you sure he forgot to bring money? I don’t think he has the money. Can a poor loser like him afford expensive coffee?”

“It’s fine! You treated me last time. I’ll have to pay this time,” Tang Hao said urgently.

Everyone wailed when they heard that.

“Oh my god! There was a ‘last time’? Is the beauty queen blind to go on multiple dates with this guy?”

“Is he even a man to have the girl foot the bill?”

Tang Hao rummaged his wallet, and his eyes sparkled. He took out a debit card. “Can I pay with my debit card here?” He said to the waitress.

The waitress was surprised. “Yes,” she replied while nodding.

“Alright, I’ll pay by card then!” Tang Hao gave the waitress the debit card.

The waitress was taken aback when she took the card.

The card looked rather unique. It was black and gold, and a flying dragon was embossed on it. She had never seen a debit card like that before.

Everyone was also confused when they saw it.

“What bank is that from? I’ve never seen that before,” Many people mumbled to themselves.

“It must be from some trashy bank!” Tang Bowen said disdainfully.

He knew that his younger cousin brother was a poor delivery boy.

Suddenly, someone shouted. “Oh my god! That’s the Black Gold card from Huaxia Bank!”

  Chapter 143 - Billionaire

The entire cafe was silent when they heard that shout.

Everyone’s gaze was focused on that black and gold debit card.

  Their faces carried shocked expressions.

“Wow!” They exclaimed in surprise when their brains finally processed what they had just heard.

“The Black Gold card from Huaxia Bank? How can that be? It must be fake!” Everyone exclaimed, not ready to believe it.

The students there knew what the Black Gold card was, and Huaxia Bank was the largest bank in Huaxia. To obtain a Black Gold card, one needed to have at least a billion yuan in the bank.

The Black Gold card was the sign of a billionaire.

However, that kid did not look like a billionaire at all! The clothes were too plain, and everything should not cost more than a few hundred yuan. His phone was an old model from two or three years ago.

Most importantly, he was too young. He looked to be about the same age as the students there.

At that age, how would he have that much money in the bank, if not that he had ultra-rich parents?

“That must be a fake!” The people discussed.

Tang Bowen smirked coldly and said sarcastically. “I say, Younger Cousin Brother, don’t you have any shame? You think you can forge a fake bank card and we won’t figure it out?”

“That’s right!” The girl next to him said, “Bowen, your younger cousin brother is too low-class and stupid! He’s flaunting in front of us with a fake debit card.”

Everyone looked at Tang Hao with condescension.

The waitress hesitated as she held the card in her hand.

“You can try swiping it to see if it’s a fake!” Tang Hao said calmly.

“Oh,” The waitress replied. She went to the counter and swiped the card. Then, her eyes went wide and she exclaimed, “It went through! It’s a genuine card!”

She looked at the Black Gold card in her hand with extreme incredulity.

The cafe descended into deathly silence again.

The people who were watching gleefully at the ensuing drama were all stunned. The condescending smiles on their faces froze.

Loud gulps were heard. That was the sound of everyone collecting swallowing.

They turned stiffly to look at the boy sitting next to the window.

“Oh my god! That’s a real card! He’s a billionaire!”

Everyone’s gaze on him turned from condescension to respect and envy. The girls’ eyes sparkled and regarded him differently.

“Look, he’s actually quite handsome!” Many girls whispered among themselves as they looked at Liu Bingyao with envy.

Tang Bowen fell on his seat. He was totally confused.

“How could it be… How could it be…” He mumbled to himself as though his soul had left his body.

He could not believe it. That younger cousin brother of his was but a mere delivery boy. How was he a billionaire? That was too nonsensical!

Everyone around Tang Bowen was also wide-eyed and slack-jawed. They turned to regard him curiously.

“What’s going on, Bowen? Didn’t you say that he’s from a mountain village? Why is he so rich?” The young woman beside him said.

“How would I know! He’s always been a poor loser!” Tang Bowen roared. His expression looked vicious.

His mind raced to look for any excuses to explain how the poor loser Tang Hao could have so much money.

“It must be fake! I know, you must’ve picked up the card on the ground,” Tang Bowen stood up and pointed a finger at Tang Hao.

“Is that so?” Tang Hao glanced coldly at him. “You’d better look carefully!”

Then, he stood up and walked to the counter. He keyed in the PIN and completed the transaction.

The waitress looked emotional when she held the card. It was a genuine Black Gold card! It was the first time that she had seen one in her life.

She respectfully handed the card back to Tang Hao with both of her hands.

Tang Hao took the card and flicked it in his hand. “Anything else that you’d like to say, Cousin Brother?” He said to Tang Bowen.

Tang Bowen shuddered and his mind went blank.

“How could this be…” He mumbled. All color was drained from his face and he sat down gingerly.

The cafe erupted in activity again.

Everyone’s gaze toward Tang Hao was scorching.

Tang Bowen’s friends were red-faced and ashamed of themselves. They had mocked the guy for being poor earlier, but now they had discovered that he was a billionaire. It was a slap on their faces.

Tang Hao returned to the seat with two cups of coffee in his hands.

Liu Bingyao regarded him curiously with her big, beautiful eyes.

“What’s up?” Tang Hao asked curiously.

Liu Bingyao smiled. “It’s nothing. I feel that you’ve changed a lot. Every time I see you, I find out something surprising about you.

“Didn’t you say that you were starting a company? It should already be up and running, right?”

Tang Hao nodded. “It’s been operational since a while ago. It’s doing not bad.”

“What do you do?” Liu Bingyao asked.

“Healthcare products. Our first product is a weight-loss tea called Bizhi. We’ll have more products coming soon,” Tang Hao said.

“Bizhi?” Liu Bingyao was stunned when she heard the name. “I’ve heard of it, isn’t that the miraculous weight-loss tea that’s all over the Internet?”

“Right, that’s the one!” Tang Hao said.

“Wow!” Liu Bingyao exclaimed and her eyes sparkled. “I’ve heard that the weight-loss tea has been flying off the shelves! I have a dorm mate who’s been drinking the tea and she lost more than twenty pounds in a few days. That’s too amazing.”

The people around them discussed excitedly when they overheard the conversation.

Many of the girls there have heard of Bizhi Weight-Loss Tea before.

“So he’s the boss of Haotian Co. Ltd.! He’s so young!” The girls exclaimed.

They had thought that he was from a wealthy family, but now they knew that he had built his own wealth from the ground up.

Tang Bowen’s face became even paler when he heard that.

He could not believe that the poor loser younger cousin brother of his had started a company, made a lot of money, and achieved a status that even he could not attain.

  Tang Hao smiled. “The
sales are not bad indeed. It’ll be better in the future!”

Liu Bingyao smiled coyly. “Congratulations, Boss Tang!”

  Tang Hao broke into laughter.

Then, the two chatted happily. Tang Hao recounted the events that happened in Westridge District, while Liu Bingyao talked about her college life.

The intimacy displayed by the couple had caused the people in the cafe to look at them with envy.

News soon traveled around the campus. Many male students flocked to the cafe to see the bastard that had caught the beauty queen’s attention.

With more and more people arriving at the cafe, Tang Hao and Liu Bingyao felt that they should move somewhere else. They left the cafe and walked toward the campus exit.

Their presence outside caused an even bigger commotion.

“Oh my god! Isn’t that Liu Bingyao, the beauty queen?”

“F*ck me! Who’s that guy? How dare he dress up like a loser and walk alongside the beauty queen?”

  Many male students were indignant.

The situation subsided once they were out of the campus.

They walked along the road. In the evening, Tang Hao bought her dinner and sent her back to her dorm.

  Chapter 144 - A Robbery

Tang Hao left the hotel early in the morning.

He planned to stay in Provincial City for another day before returning to Westridge District the next morning. He had already purchased the return ticket.

Provincial City was a big city, and he had only managed to cover a small area the day before. He planned to visit some more tourist spots that day.

In the evening, he returned to the downtown area and arrived at Zenith Plaza.

Zenith Plaza was a luxury shopping mall, like Sky City Plaza back in Westridge District. Tang Hao wanted to buy some gifts there for Sis Xiangyi and the rest.

He went around the shopping mall and bought anything that looked nice to him. He bought a lot of perfumes, cosmetics, handbags, clothes, footwear, watches, and others.

His initial plan was to buy gifts for the few people who were close to him. He then thought about it and felt that he should buy some more in case he needed to give more gifts in the future.
