Water Town near the peaks of vacation ideas in Colorado
Short Story
Johnny was quite alarmed by the atmosphere in front of him. Large globs of clouds filled the sky above the two heavenly bodies. “I wish I was up there man,” he mumbled amongst himself. However, he was not alone. “What are you talking about John,” replied Jacob? Jacob stared at his friend with concern. He was confused of his words at hand. “Why would anyone want to travel to the sky? There’s so much to do in the world on earth, on the surface. I hate the world man. The crazy bullshit between the blacks and the whites are giving me hell now at school.” Johnny immediately grabbed his cigs that were stuffed in his left pocket. The idea of lying down made the objective much difficult than it actually was for someone who was standing up. Jacob sat up on the grass and looked up at his friend fidgeting to light his cigerrate. He realized that his friend was not stable. He vividly remembers one incident when Johnny was over his girlfriend’s house, Alicia. She was a short Hispanic who used to huff Nitrous in her Kia truck in front of her parents house. One night, Johnny was under the influence, pissy drunk as Alicia’s parents would describe it. He knocked on the door for hours until he finally heard someone walking down the steps. “Hurry, open up the door you little bitch,” he yelled! The neighbors must’ve been in a deep sleep because not one person called the cops or even opened their doors to find where the noise was coming from. Long story short, Alicia shows up in a blue skirt with small images of waves and surfer dudes gliding on the side of her legs barely covering up her knees. Johnny became excited. He wanted her at that exact moment. She smiled and giggled as usual. Alicia’s parents were out for the couple of hours at their favorite gourmet restaurant. “Let’s fuck babe. We need to fuck now before your parents come home.”Alicia slipped off her gray wool slippers that her grandmother bought for her 16th birthday. As Johnny’s jacket swung from side to side; he was surprised of how interesting her skirt looked. Today, he still remembers how her dress looked. Nonchalant, she took his sweaty red hand and pulled him into his room. Johnny immediately took off his jacket and stumbled onto the floor where his only cig fell out. A little wet and limp at the bottom, he proceeded to light it. Meanwhile, Alicia continued to pull off the rest of her clothing and lie in bed. The moment Alicia pulled the covers over herself; Johnny leaped into bed with the lit cigerrate in his hand jumping up and down like Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone. With all the movement in bed; the lit cigerrate fell onto her sheets. Within minutes, the flame erupted. Alicia screamed as her not so matured voice echoed throughout the house downstairs to the edges of the front door. After everything was said and done, Alicia experienced second degree burns and a patch of hairs was burned off her scalp. She still lives today, but always giving herself distance when coming into the neighborhood when Jacob and Johnny are present. Ironically, Johnny picked up his clothes and picked her up and called the ambulance for help. When they arrived, Johnny fell asleep with his pants down proceeding to urinate in the gutter in the front of her house. Alicia was asleep. At first glance, the paramedics assumed she was dead due to the damage that was shown on her body in the night. “What happened,” one paramedic asked? He stood up awkwardly with a tense pain in her stomach. “I think I killed my bitch. She’s dead doc!” It was like a fucking cartoon. He sprinted around the house yelling:
I killed my bitch. I think I actually killed my bitch doc!”
The paramedics had to drop all of their equipment and chase this drunken bastard down. Surprisingly, when you’re drunk you lose the ability to stay cool. His sweat alone provoked them to call the fire department hosed him dog like a young black boy in Birmingham. “Fucking coo...Cops!” “Fuck the Police!” Alicia eventually stirred up enough energy to wake up and glance at an image at the corner of her eye. Her scalp was very much burned at this point. Large gusts of smoke were being torched out in the back of her. Her bedroom was no more than a stumping ground for homeless people to raid and urinate on. Alicia sat down on the curb while she looked at herself through a blue puddle of water that was displayed in front of her. “M...my face,” she cried out! The paramedic kept checking his phone due to the static that he was receiving through his ear piece. It took about five people to rush and throw Johnny to the ground. “You motherfuckers won’t get away with he said,” he said. “I have my rights, my rights as a human being.” The older gentlemen that had his knees into Johnny’s back pulled out a camel and lit it with his left hand. “You’re not a human kiddo; you’re a fucking drunk who almost killed his girlfriend tonight.” With force, he forced his head to look at Alicia who was crying her eyes out. Her tennis shoes were ruined. It was her best friend Brittany who was in High School when they were both on the tennis team when they got the chance to beat the hell out of the Pulaski tennis varsity squad two years ago. Brittany is nowhere to be found today. Some say that she was turned out by her own father. They had so many sexual episodes down by the pond in the backyard of their high school senior year. Johnny’s eyes glared at his new girlfriend’s appearance. From his perspective, he could see the flames trickle off her trembled shoulders as if she was a broken Indian angel flying high over her families as their huts and villages were burned down in the states. It would be like a huge waterfall today when you have to travel in a small tube with your best friend five feet in the air. The sun is never out and the plants cannot grow. Crime is essential for survival, but there is one specific town that has none of these issues. The place is Colorado. It would be a great town nonetheless with a trickle of niggers and Mexicans. The old gentlemen pulled Johnny up to his feet with his flashlight in his eyes.
“Fuck man, that light is fucking hurting my eyes man!” The officer smirked and pointed his light towards the victim. He nodded his head. “She could’ve been dead tonight because of a fucking drunk whose father meant shit to me when he was alive. He was a fuck-up!” Johnny’s eyebrows lowered and he tilts his head in embarrassment. The police arrived five minutes later with donut boxes filling up a good majority of their windshield. Johnny made a mental picture in his head. He was surprised that they didn’t’ crash with all of the sprinkled donut boxes sliding from left to right, swoosh! The officer thought for a moment tapping his index finger against his side a foot away from Johnny. Alicia was still on the ground wiping off the blood from her chin and face. “I think I want you to stay here out in the world Johnny. You wouldn’t survive a day in prison. I want you to suffer in the real world, its life right?” Johnny’s piercing eyes stared directly at old general whose name was Goodman. “I want to die here in the real world too sir!” Goodman stepped back and clapped his hands softly.
“Isn’t this a sight to see? The white punk ass rocker/jailbird wants to die with the rest of us common folk?!”
Johnny shrugged his shoulders in agreement. “I just want to die to be honest. I don’t want…..Goodman moved in closer. Johnny frantically thought about the next words he was going to say and remained calm for the time being.
“I don’t want to be around your cracker ass either, you fucking milk licker!”
“Here we are earthlings. This is your world with everything provided included in your installment plan. You’ll have unlimited amounts of water, food, and shelter. We travel only by water tubes as you see what we’re in now.”
Johnny was sat in the back next to a young girl who looked almost a good 17 years of age. His eye was still badly damaged and it required
several bandages a day. The day after Johnny was struck by Goodman; he was jailed and Johnny received the opportunity to be sent to Colorado. The town was beautiful with paved roads on the side like The Wizard of Oz (1939). However, Johnny imagined the whole city as more of a playground than actual reality. He never saw blacks and whites playing together in the front yard. Whites looked at blacks as “niggers,” “scum of the earth,” and “bottom-feeders.” As the water bus continued to ride through the historic town with the appearance of newly built skyscrapers and apartment buildings down the road on a street called “Cavemen
