The corner of his mouth twitched and his fingers dug into her hip. “You need to stop giving away my booty, Earther, or there will be a penalty for yours.”
She laughed. “So you know that slang?”
“I’m a quick study,” Faros said. His gaze smoldered as the teasing look disappeared, and his voice grew throaty. “I mean it, Violet. I want you. Forever. I do not know what I would do if you left.”
Her throat burned with emotion but she tried not to let it show too much. She rested an elbow on his chest and propped her chin on her fist to frown down at him. “Then a few things need to change, bucko.”
“Like what?”
“No more terrorizing innocent ships.”
“It’s not terrorizing, it’s... taxation. Like a toll for traveling ungoverned space.”
She wanted to laugh more but didn’t dare encourage that kind of thinking. “And we should really help Pyix and the others with their missions—saving the innocent and wreaking havoc on the Slasu.”
“Perhaps,” he said. “I enjoy making trouble for the Slasu. They typically have very valuable ships.”
“And you’re going to have to face the charges for escaping prison and kidnapping me, you know.” Violet arched an eyebrow in challenge. She didn’t really expect him to volunteer to go back to the rebellion, but she wanted to see how far he’d go if it meant keeping her around.
Faros’s hands slid to her waist and his hips lifted again in a lazy thrust that made her insides tremble. Violet’s head tilted back and her mouth opened as she let the leisurely waves of almost painful ecstasy roll through her. Newton help her, she couldn’t believe how long he stayed hard and connected to her, nor the overwhelming pleasure of every single touch and twitch and motion.
He chuckled and stroked her back. “You really want me to go back to prison? How long will I be there, lawyer of mine? The rebels don’t allow conjugal visits, you know, so you would have to plan to be... alone for a very long time.”
Violet moaned and ran her nails down his chest as she pushed up for better leverage to rock down against him. Was it technically round two if round one never ended? “I can negotiate conjugal visits. It’s better to—face the music and deal with—oh my.”
Faros abruptly sat up so they were face to face, and his arms wrapped around her so tightly that Violet could hardly move. He took control and moved her how he wanted, grinding her against his body and the rough friction of his scales. His mouth left a heated trail down her throat. “Are you sure? I’d hate to make you wait for this.”
His cock throbbed and Violet gripped his shoulders in desperation as another orgasm lingered just out of reach. “I can be very patient,” she said, though she sounded desperate even to herself.
“For months on end?” Faros nipped her shoulder and held her still as his hips jerked and he tried to bury his cock even deeper inside her. “Months of waiting, untouched? Surely you can’t be serious.”
Violet couldn’t think of anything but the way his hands made her feel, the way their bodies connected. Her head tilted back more and all she could do was hold onto his spikes as Faros growled and moved harder, faster. “You’re right.”
He laughed but didn’t stop moving. “Say it again.”
“You’re right,” she said, though it came out mostly as a moan. “Don’t you dare stop, Faros.”
He moved on the table until she pressed against the surface and he loomed over her. “Like I said, until I have no breath, Earther. You’re mine. Forever.”
She held on tightly to him and moved in for a kiss. “Forever is good enough for me.”
She meant every word, even when he held back and she cursed him roundly for not letting her climax when she wanted. It was the start of a very long evening of exploring each other, and the start of something even better—their forever.
