Savage Kings MC - South Carolina Box Set #1 Page 49

“I’m on it,” Roman says as he quickly pulls out his phone as fast as humanly possible.

“So, you really want to be with Verek?” Charlotte asks while Roman’s fingers fly over the phone.

  “Yes! I sent Paul home.”

“How did he take the news?”

“He was hurt of course, but I think he’s relieved to finally be able to move on. Apparently, he had already tried to with other women…”

“See! I knew you needed the closure.”

“Don’t even go there again,” I grumble. “You shouldn’t have encouraged him. He was ready to move on without the closure. Oh, and while Verek was away he said he didn’t touch anyone else, and I believe him!”

“Wow. I can admit it. I think I was totally wrong,” Charlotte says. “I’m so unbelievably sorry. I thought I was helping and that I knew what you would want eventually.”

“I know, and I appreciate you trying to look out for me,” I say, taking a deep breath and letting my anger at my best friend go. I know her heart was in the right place even if she was totally wrong. “So, how was your honeymoon?” I ask.

“Perfect,” she replies with a grin. “Although it sounds like you had a pretty good time with Verek. How was it?”

“I can hear you!” Roman mutters.

“Then go somewhere else,” Charlotte tells him. “Tessa having sex again is huge news! I want to hear all of the details.”

“Ugh,” Roman groans before he puts his phone away and comes over to give Charlotte a quick kiss on the lips. “I’ll be back as soon as I can. I promise not to return until I make things right, Tessa.”

  “About time,” I huff.

“Bye. Be careful,” Charlotte tells him before he slips out the door. To me she says, “Now, tell me everything.”

“Roman’s looking for you,” Damon, Fluid’s regular bartender, says when he glances up from his phone behind the bar. “I told him you’re here, and he’s on his way.”

“Great,” I grunt into my bottle of beer. I ignored all of his texts for a reason. “He’s probably coming to take my cut again,” I mutter aloud.

I’m on my third beer when Roman finally walks through the door like he’s in a hurry. “Office. Now,” he says to me as he passes by my stool.

“Good luck,” Damon whispers under his breath.

“Thanks,” I reply before getting up and following Roman into my office, shutting the door behind me. “So, what have I done wrong now? Are you gonna cut my balls off for sleeping with Tessa while you were gone?”

“No,” Roman says as he takes a seat behind my desk. “I’m going to apologize.”

“You are?” I say in surprise. Our president is not known for apologizing ever.

“I’m…sorry,” he says stiffly, like he hates the words and they’re unfamiliar coming out of his mouth. “I’ve put my shit on you for months because I felt responsible for the girls. I invited them to the club that night, and Tessa left while I was with Charlotte. I guess…I just wanted someone else to hurt and feel as guilty as I do about what happened to her.”

“Trust me, no one can ever feel as guilty as I do,” I tell him while leaning my back against the door and crossing my arms over my chest.

“The truth is, Tessa wants to be with you, not Paul.”

“He loves her and can be the man she needs,” I remark. “I’m a wild card. An unknown. I could hurt her again.”

“Tessa sent Paul home earlier,” Roman says. “They’re done and over. Did you know he slept with other women? Anyway, it’s fine because Tessa’s moved on. She loves you. So, you need to grow a pair and step up to try and make things work with her. If you don’t, I may never have sex with my wife again…”

“What?” I ask in confusion. There was a whole lot of crazy shit crammed into whatever he just said.

“Do you love Tessa or not?” he asks.

“How the hell would I know? I’ve never loved anyone before.”

“You don’t want to be with anyone else?”

  “No,” I answer.

“And you want to be with her every day and night?”

  “God yes.”

“You stuck by Tessa’s side while she was going through the worst part of her life,” Roman says. “At least until I made you leave. So, I think you’ve got the cherish in good times and bad, sickness and in health, all covered. That just leaves richer and poorer, but I doubt you’re hurting in that department.”

“I’m doing okay. I’ve got plenty of money in savings, more now that I no longer have to keep up two apartments in two different cities.”

“Then there you go! Problem solved. Go see your girl and start growing old together.”

“You make it sound like it’s that easy,” I mutter.

  “Isn’t it?”

“I don’t know! Neither do you! You just got married a few days ago!”

“Either you man up and do your best to make Tessa happy and love her or someone else will,” Roman states.

“Fuck that,” I grumble. I’ve never been the jealous type, and I kept my cool dealing with Paul. But the thought of Tessa meeting someone else, being pursued by someone else makes my blood boil and my head throb. Even worse, it makes me feel physically ill. Oh god, is this love?

  Chapter Thirty-Two

  Tessa

After sitting with Charlotte for an hour, I go back to my apartment to wait, hoping Roman can find Verek and make things right.

Finally, a few hours later, I get a call from Jake.

“Send him up,” I say, knowing it’s Verek before he says a word.

“Yes, ma’am,” he agrees, immediately ending the call. I really should tell the prospects that they never have to ask if I want to see Verek. I always do.

I already have my door unlocked and open before I hear his hurried footsteps in the stairwell.

“Hey,” he says as soon as he comes around the corner and his eyes lock with mine.

“Hey,” I reply, instantly relaxing now that he’s here. It’s like everything is right in the world again. Still, something is obviously still wrong. “You took off earlier and wouldn’t answer your phone.”

“I thought you might need some time to clear your head, to make a decision.”

“There was never really a decision to make,” I tell him.

  “There wasn’t?”

“I may not ever be…normal, but I’m getting better at making my own decisions, knowing what I want,” I say.

  “I know you are.”

“After this week, I can even picture myself in a wedding dress again, marrying the man of my dreams.”

“That’s…great,” Verek says, his eyes dropping from mine and his broad shoulders drooping in disappointment. “I’m sure Paul will be thrilled. I thought Roman said…never mind, he must have got it wrong.”

“Well, it is good news for me. Not so much for Paul,” I remark. “Because he’s no longer the man I want to spend the rest of my life with.”

“He’s not?” Verek says with his brows lifting in surprise.

“No, silly. You are! That is, if you can keep being so patient with me and not give up…”

“Sweetheart, I’ll wait however long it takes to touch you,” Verek assures me. “I’ve never wanted anything more than to hold you in my arms without constantly worrying that I’m doing something wrong, or that it’s not what you want but you’re just too nice to tell me to stop.”

“I promise I’ll always tell you. And hopefully you can touch me and not worry about that. One day.”

  “One day,” Verek agrees.

“I know you think you don’t know what it means to love someone, but I can feel the love you have for me in every word, every kiss, every touch, every sweet, protective thing you do. You don’t have to say it because when you just look at me, I already know without a doubt that you love me. I love you too, so much, and a little more each day since the first time we
met. That’s why I never cared about what you did that night after I left you. I was already falling for you and would forgive you for anything. You didn’t know what was going to happen, or that we would even see each other again. So don’t waste time blaming yourself for things that were completely out of your control.”

“That’s all…I just, I still don’t know why you see me as a knight in shining armor, when I’m the furthest thing from it.”

“You’re right, you are,” I agree. “You’re not the knight, you’re something even better – you’re a Savage King, a man who would do anything, even kill for me. I love everything about you, Verek, even the savage.”

“I-I don’t know what to say, sweetheart,” he stammers.

“That’s easy,” I tell him. “It’s a simple yes or no question. Just like the first one I ever asked you. You can say no and walk away now, or you can say yes, and we could do everything in our power to make this work. So, do you want to be with me?”

“God, yes,” Verek says without hesitation.

“Then the rest can wait. That’s all I need to know for now. We’ll figure out the rest.”

“We will,” he agrees with a smile as he takes a step closer to me. “Can I kiss you now?”

“God, yes,” I reply, echoing his words. I need him so much that I grab the sides of his face to pull his mouth down to mine, intending to spend the rest of the night showing him just how much I love him.

  One year later…

  * * *

“I now pronounce you man and wife. You may now kiss your bride,” the preacher finally says.

I don’t have to be told twice. Cupping the side of my beautiful wife’s face with one hand, I wind my other arm around her lower back. And as my mouth crashes down on hers, I dip her backward, knowing without asking that she trusts me not to drop her.

I hear our friends and family all cheering in the background, but it doesn’t slow me down. Not when Tessa’s arms wind tightly around my neck to hold me close as our tongues collide for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Rhodes.

Eventually, the preacher even clears his throat, but I’m too far gone to stop now. Once I straighten Tessa up again, I sweep her up into my arms and carry her out of the sanctuary, stopping in the first empty room I come to. A quick glance tells me it’s the women’s dressing room, where Tessa and a very pregnant Charlotte got dressed before the ceremony.

“Here?” Tessa asks with a giggle when I lower her to her feet next to the now closed door that I reach over to lock.

“Here,” I say as I undo my black suit pants.

“What about our guests? What will the preacher think?” she whispers.

“That we’re consummating the hell out of this union right here in the presence of God and everyone else,” I tell her.

“Oh okay,” Tessa says with a bark of laughter, and then my beautiful wife hikes up her white satin gown to her waist, revealing a pretty blue garter around her thigh and the smallest white lace thong in the world.

“Holy fuck, these are gonna make me come before I’m even inside of you,” I tell her as I reach down and rub my fingers back and forth over the lace crotch before slipping them down inside the front.

“Oh god!” Tessa moans, her head falling back against the door as her body sags. “Please, Verek. Don’t tease me. Just get to the consummating already!”

“I won’t tease you more than you can handle,” I promise before I kneel down in front of her. Leaning forward, I use my teeth to peel the panties down her legs while my hand gives my cock a few rough tugs, making sure I’m as big as possible for my first time with my wife. Just a few rough swipes of my tongue over her wet pussy and I’m hard as a goddamn rock.

“Verek, please…I need you,” Tessa begs me, so I finally relent. Getting to my feet, I kiss her lips as she frantically climbs me, wrapping her legs around my waist, locking her ankles behind my back. In this position, with her back pinned to the wall and her thighs wide open, it doesn’t take much wiggling for my cock to slide right on inside of its tight, warm home. It even sheds a few happy tears as it gets nice and cozy where it belongs. I give Tessa a moment to adjust to me stretching her before I snap and start banging her brains out.

“Ah! Oh god! Please! Yes!” my wife shouts with each and every pump of my hips that are literally driving her up the wall of the church.

And I don’t give a shit who hears her or what they’ll think. The two of us have come so far. It took a long time to get to this point, where I don’t have to ask if she’s okay before I lay a finger on her. I know she’s enjoying herself as much, if not more than I am, because time heals all wounds eventually. The two of us were meant to be together from the first night we met, and that much is never any clearer than when we’re joined like this, in the most intimate way possible.

As if knowing what I’m thinking, Tessa’s heavy eyes open and meet mine, deepening our connection even more, staring into my soul.

“I love you so fucking much,” I tell her.

“I love you too,” she says, her emerald eyes telling me all I need to know before they close again and her lips part on a gasp that I’m all too familiar with. “I’m…I’m coming!” she says as if I can’t feel the way her pussy is locking down on my cock like it never wants to let it leave her body.

“Take me with you, sweetheart,” I say as I pound into her faster and faster to try and catch up.

And I swear when my release hits me, it’s better this time than any other time before because I’m sharing this moment with my wife. It’s like our very first time, but better. I know she’s mine now, and nothing and no one will ever take her away from me.

  ~ Synopsis for Malcolm ~

Covered from head to toe in tattoos and leather, Malcolm Hyde was born to be a ruthless outlaw.

As the president of the Dirty Aces MC, Malcolm is known for being cold and calculating. One bad decision – getting into business with the wrong person – is all it takes to bring down the entire MC. It’s happened before to his predecessor, which is why Malcolm refuses to let it happen again on his watch. He doesn’t trust anyone except for the few men who wear the same ace of spades patch on their back.

And that’s exactly why he doesn’t ever take his eyes off of me – the new girl. I never intended to make an enemy out of Malcolm or the MC when I was sent to steal everything I could from them.

After Malcolm finds out what I’ve been doing, he’s furious and shows no mercy until I spill all of my secrets, ones that could very well end my life. That’s when he makes me a surprising offer – he’s willing to take care of all of my problems, and the only thing he’s asking for in return is for me to completely surrender myself to him.

Spending two weeks in bed with a bad boy biker sounds more like a reward than a punishment.

There’s just one little catch – once he claims my body, there’s no guarantee he won’t steal my heart too.
