by Cambria Hebert

He gave a great shout and pumped his arm in the air. He pulled the ring free and tossed the box behind him onto the field.

And then he slid it home.

It took up my entire finger.

  “It’s huge.” I laughed.

“It still doesn’t match how much you mean to me.”

I threw my arms around his neck and he pulled me close with one arm as he balanced us with the other.

His kiss was familiar and hot. And so full of promise.

I stood at the railing and watched him run back out onto the field.

  My future husband.

  My everything.

  My #player.

  #Selfie

  The Hashtag Series #4

  It’s all about the #Selfie.

She was the one girl I never wanted.

  Until I had her.

  One night.

  One mistake.

Something we both wanted to forget.

I got rid of the proof. The one piece of evidence that could remind us both.

At least, I thought I did.

When it shows up on the school Buzzfeed, rumors fly. Friendships are tested and the feels get real.

  I don’t do relationships. I don’t open my heart.

Especially for a girl everyone knows I hate.

What happens during spring break, stays in spring break.

  Until it follows you home.

  Author’s Note

I don’t even know how I got to this point.

Like for real. I can’t remember half the stuff I wrote in this book. The re-read sure will be interesting… haha.

It’s like I sat down at the computer and a lot of it literally bled out of me. I’m sitting here just moments after putting THE END, and I’m kind of still in shock. This book was a weird experience for me, because I love these characters and this world so much they’ve become part of me. And a lot of times I felt like I was trying to exist in two different realities: theirs and mine.

It can be very challenging to switch back and forth between the two and sometimes it’s quite overwhelming. There is also the pressure of this being the third book in the series. #Nerd and #Hater have been very well loved. Trying to take the story even further and still keep that freshness and love that everyone wants so much is stressful.

But this time around, I trusted the characters. I let them lead the way. I wrote what they told me to write, and hopefully you will all enjoy it.

And I’d also like to issue a small disclaimer: this is FICTION. That means it’s made up. While I try to make it as believable as I can, sometimes I mess up (gasp!). I realize I might not have all my football facts correct, but again, it’s fiction and I know next to nothing about football. I do research what I can, but again, my interpretation of the things I find might not always be correct.

I hope most people will enjoy the story for what it is—a good read.

In many ways, I’m sad to type the end on this one because Romeo and Rimmel mean so much to me. I’m not ready to say good-bye to them.

But really, we aren’t. They will be in #Selfie with Braeden. Who’s looking forward to that book?!

I’d like to thank all the readers who have supported this series and me. The notes, the shares, and the emails have totally kept me going.

Now, if you will excuse me, I need to go attempt to rejoin the real world before I start in with Braeden.

  Happy Reading!
