“Zoey, did Brandon tell you I’ll be in Boston soon?” Tony rubbed Nadine’s shoulders. His piercing blue eyes darkened.

My heart beat against my rib cage as I mustered a tiny smile. “Yes, he did.” Brandon had been on edge lately. We had a problem with someone. Brandon said it was his problem. How could that be? We’re married. Thank God for Tony. He was always there to assist with any people who posed a problem in our life.

The rest of my friends talked amongst themselves. Thank goodness. I didn’t want anyone asking if everything was all right at home. My husband slapped on his killer perfect smile and chatted with our friends before we left for Jersey.

One thing was for certain, he’d kill for me without hesitation.

Tony was the only person in this room who knew we suffered through a rift in our marriage.

“Brandon and I will have a little chat in person next week. You know, just catch up.”

I loved how discreet and protective Tony was over me, and the other women in this room. We were fortunate to have a hitman like him in our lives.

“Brandon can’t stop talking about the trip. He needs a vacation. He hasn’t had two weeks off straight in months.”

“Don’t worry, Zoey. He’ll be in good hands.” Tony winked.

A burning sensation permeated my nose. Felt like my nose hairs were on fire. At the same time, the backs of my eyes were a blaze. Tears threatened to burst forth. Instead of unleashing them, I grabbed the drink Sam sat on the counter and threw the contents to the back of my throat. Pounding my chest, I laughed to keep from crying. Turning my attention to Emoni, I lost myself in her story to forget my problems.

“Most days I have one baby hanging off my boob and the other climbing my leg, both in tears.”

“Baby, you make our children sound like savages.”

  Everyone laughed.

“Maybe you should allow the nanny to help you a little more.”

“The nanny will serve her purpose while I’m away. Between her and your mother, the boys are in excellent hands. I’m in need of this trip.”

He kissed her hair. “You are the hardest working woman I know. You definitely deserve this trip. All of you ladies deserve this time together.”

His eyes scanned the room. “Enjoy your evening. I’ll see you all in the morning.” He waved goodbye.

  “Good night, Marco,” we chimed.

The mob wives kissed their husbands before they vacated the kitchen.

“Sydney and Samantha, more shots please?” I howled; hands stretched in the air.

I was on vacation and determined to enjoy myself.

“Emoni, I can sympathize with you about the babies hanging on to your nipple for dear life. The beginning process of breastfeeding is no joke.” I twisted my lips.

  Everyone raised their shot glass.

“So painful.” Sydney shook her head.

“Yes, the babies can be brutal to your nipples. Anyone ever find it mind blowing when your husband sucks the milk from your nipples.” Emoni’s eyelids lowered. I take it, she loves it.

“While I breastfed, I didn’t let Brandon touch my nipples during sex. They were so sore.”

Emoni leaned on her forearm across the counter. “If he applies the right amount of pressure while he’s deep inside you. It’s fucking...bomb.” She purred.

“Damn, girl, you sold me on that shit.” I raised my hand.

“Dillon likes to pinch my nipple from behind and squirt the breast milk across the room while his teeth are clamped on my ear. It definitely takes my orgasm over the top.”

“Why didn’t we ever talk about the breast milk experience before?”

“I thought it was something all husbands did.” Sam shrugged.

“Jacob is for sure addicted. If someone leaked that shit to the press not sure how his fans would feel learning their favorite celebrity crush sucked his wife’s breast, and slurped down breast milk.”

  The girls laughed.

“I don’t think they want to imagine him fucking you at all, Sam.”

  “Sierra, that’s true.”

“Some women wouldn’t care if it was their tits he sucked.”

“Zoey, that’s for damn sure.” Samantha guzzled down an apple pucker shot.

“There will be a lot of ponytails worn on this trip. I’m sure.” Sam poured more Apple Pucker in the shot glasses.

“Sierra, did you pack the economy size conditioner?”

“Yes, I also packed the economy size shampoo.”

“Thank God.” Nadine slapped the countertop. “Can’t be out here looking completely busted.”

  We chuckled.

“That’s for sure.” Sydney held her shot glass in the air.

We grabbed another shot, sucking them down.

I shook my head. “I better eat food with this liquor.”

“That’s right. There will be no hangovers on this trip, my friend.” Sydney kissed my cheek.

The energy in this room was pure girl power. Yeah, I needed this trip.

  CHAPTER FIVE

  SIERRA

  MOB WIFE

“DILLON, I DON’T WANT to be the last one on the bus,” I grunted.

Gripping the closet hanging bar, I rotated my hips. Dillon’s muscled arm hooked under my knee as his other large palm covered my breast.

His lips brushed my earlobe. “I just wanted to leave you something to remember for the rest of the week.”

  “God, Dillon.”

He snickered as he slammed his monster cock deep inside me. My fucking knee buckled. I only had one good leg holding me up. Dillon held the other captive.

“Dillon, I’m coming.” My shaky words fell from my lips. I was on the fucking edge.

“Wait baby,” he growled. “Fuck, I might have to hunt you down and drill my big cock inside this good ass pussy.” His voice was hoarse and raspy.

Dillon caressed my belly. His fingers slipped over my mound, then circled my clit.

“Dillon. Dillon. I can’t wait any longer.”

My eyes fluttered and a wave of heat struck my body as I tried to hold on.

“Fuck, baby. This pussy is the absolute best.” He muttered as he circled his muscled hips.

I screamed as my orgasm tore through me.

“Yeah, that’s right. Come hard as fuck all over my cock,” he groaned as he jerked inside my quivering pussy.

Slowly, he slipped out of me. I hated he withdrew my addiction. His cock. Shit, how would I be able to make it a week without my husband’s great dick game?

I released the bar, falling into Dillon’s huge chest.

“Are you all right?” his chest rose and fell against me.

I peeked up at him. “Yes,” I murmured against his lips.

  His gray eyes held sadness.

  “Baby, it’s one week.”

He lifted me onto the beautiful peach center dresser. My eyes combed his naked body as Dillon massaged my bare ass.

“Remember who you are. The Donna of the Magarelli’s.”

My heart slammed against my ribcage. Whenever he reminded me who I was, it made me a little nervous.

“I know I said no killing.” He shook his beautiful chestnut locks. My fingers threaded them.

“I never said anything about not defending yourself. If anybody disrespects you...” His lips curled at one end.

“Make them feel the pain, so they remember you ain’t a push over.”

“Will do, Dillon.” My lips crushed his.

Someone pounded on our bedroom door.

“Good morning, guys. Fuck times over. We need to get on the bus,” the drill sergeant Samantha yelled.

  I laughed against Dillon’s lips.

  ∞

Thirty minutes later, Samantha drove through the gates.

Sitting in the plush cream leather captains’ seat next to Samantha, I turned my chair sideways.

Emoni stared into the double door fridge.

“Can you grab a bottle of water for me?

  “Sure.”

The girls were curled up in their seat of choice, engrossed in FaceTimes with their children.

“We’ll arrive in two hours, guys.” I glanced over their faces as Emoni placed the bottle of water in my hand.

Nadine looked up from her phone. “This will be one cold ass rafting experience.”

“That’s the beauty. We wanted to start this trip hard.” Sam grinned in the rearview mirror.

“I’d say this was the hardest way to begin.” I laughed.

SAMANTHA HALTED THE bus in the rafting parking lot.

“All right ladies, grab your water-resistant jackets.”

I stepped in the middle of the floor dressed in an oversized navy blue sweatshirt, jeans and Gore-Tex boots. Slipping on my jacket, I opened the door. Samantha stood beside me, clutching a water bottle. The other ladies filed out of the bus.

“Anyone want a swig before we get on the raft?” Samantha wiggled the bottle in front of Zoey.

  “Vodka, right?”

  “Yup.” Samantha nodded.

  “Sure.” Zoey grinned.

“It’s eleven in the morning?” I glared at Samantha.

“You know the saying, it’s noon somewhere. Besides, we’re on vacation.”

Sydney looked Sam up and down. “A vest and a water-resistant jacket?” She widened her hands.

“I want to be warm, if I’m thrown from the raft.” Pressing the bottle against her lips, she sipped.

“Well, if you drink too much, you’ll definitely fall into the water.”

The girls gasped as we walked toward the entrance.

“Sydney, not true. I’m laser focused while drinking.”

“So what? You think this is Russia all over again?”

  “Back off, Syd.”

Shit, are they about to fight? We just started our trip.

“Ladies chill,” Nadine barked as we approached the window.

“Welcome to Rafting on the River, ladies.”

  “Hello,” we chimed.

“Hi, we have an appointment under the name AM Wives.”

  Samantha snickered under her breath.

It was kind of funny to name our group assassins mob wives. We needed to shorten the name for our group meetings.

  I paid the blonde-haired lady.

“Step through the turnstile. We’ll get you ladies all the equipment needed.”

Two guys stood at the end of the dock. The short, pale guy waved us over.

“Hello ladies, I am Burt and this is Tom.”

  He waved.

  “We are your river managers.”

After introductions, he expressed the importance of listening and stressed the safety tips.

  We piled into two rafts.

Zoey, Carmen, and I were in one raft. Sydney, Samantha, Emoni, and Nadine were in the other.

I tightened my yellow helmet equipped with the GoPro camera on top. The red life preservers hugged our bodies.

Gripping the paddles, we pushed ourselves away from the dock.

We polished off the vodka in Sam’s water bottle before we entered the rafts. A little liquor heating our insides wouldn’t hurt.

“This is so cool,” Carmen shouted.

“Yes.” I thrust my fist into the air.

“It’s a perfect spring day.” Zoey smiled.

We floated down the river between the trees.

“How you doing back there, bitches?” Sydney laughed.

  “We’re fabulous, bitches?” I howled.

Tom bent over, laughing behind me.

“You ladies are a lively bunch so early in the day.” His long leg touched my arm. I scooted a little to the edge.

“This is the first stop on our road trip.” I peeked over my shoulder. His eyes combed my body.

Tom brushed the damp blond hair touching his neck under the helmet. He was an attractive young guy. Had to be in his early twenties.

“Woot, woot, who let the dogs out.” The girls sang in the raft ahead.

“Woot, woot, who let the dogs out,” the three of us joined in.

The water splashed inside the raft the harder our paddles slapped the waves.

“This isn’t bad at all,” Samantha hollered out.

  We enjoyed the scenery downstream.

“We can grab another good current if we move to the left. Only if you ladies want to. If not paddle to the right,” Tom suggested.

Nadine raised her paddle. “To the left. To the left,” she sang.

I snickered at the Cha Cha slide lyrics.

“That’s right. We only live once,” Carmen yelled.

The faster we paddled, the waves picked up, slapping the sides of the rafts. We laughed and screamed the entire time as our rafts smacked the large rocks.

“This is the shit,” Emoni screeched.

“Drinks once we get on the bus.” Sam tossed her fist in the air.

For someone who thought they’d be flung from the raft, she didn’t mind sitting front and center. Carmen sat beside me. Zoey wiggled her ass in front of us. To those around us, we probably looked like average women. Not the wives of killers. Or that we were killers too. I smiled inside at the blood-stained fact. I suppose you could say I’d grown accustomed to the mafia life.

AN HOUR LATER, THE ladies peeled off their life jackets.

“Shit, my hair is caught.” I fiddled with the zipper.

“I’ll help you.” Tom grabbed my zipper, staring down at me with an intense lustful gaze.

What the fuck? One of the girls could have helped.

“That’s a hell of a rock on your finger.” His blue eyes widened.

“Does your husband love you or is he over compensating?” His tongue slid over his pink lips.

“He has nothing to over compensate for. He loves me.”

He wiggled the zipper, freeing my hair. “There you are.”

  I smirked. “Thanks, Tom.”

I swept the ponytail over my shoulder. The brisk wind shot through my body.

“It was my pleasure, beautiful.” He winked.

Tom turned to the ladies. “We hope you all enjoyed your time at Rafting on the River.”

Carmen leaned into my ear. “Hmm, do you think he likes you?”

Zoey gripped my other shoulder. “I’d say he’d take the pussy right now if you offered.”

“My pussy belongs to one man. We probably shouldn’t mention this little moment to Dillon. He’ll come back and drown him.”

“Oh, that’s a given.” Carmen turned in the direction of the bus.

“Hey, I thought we weren’t wearing our wedding rings,” Carmen glanced at my hand.

“I forgot to place it in my bedroom safe before I left.”

“No worries. There’s a safe on the bus.” Zoey linked our arms.

“Thanks. I’ll lock it away. I don’t want it to cause any problems.”

The tiny hairs rose on my neck. I peeked over my shoulder. Tom stood at the gate with his hands stuffed in his pockets, grinning.

That wasn’t concerning at all. Maybe I should tell Dillon. No, you’ll never see that guy again. Leave it alone and move on.

THE SECOND NADINE TURNED onto the interstate, I felt eyes on me. I clutched a sofa pillow to my bosom.

  “What? Just say it guys.”

“Girl, you had that young boy’s attention.” Sydney fell back laughing in one of the two plush leather captain chairs across from me.

  “Really funny.”

“Shit, we all noticed how attentive he was to only you.” Nadine added. “Look and we were in the raft ahead.”

Sydney smacked her shoulder. “Girl, right.”

“The only man I’m thinking about is Dillon.”

“And that’s fine. We’re just pointing out the obvious. He would have been excited for any bone you’d throw his way.” Zoey shook her damp ponytail behind the table.

“Are we hitting the grocery store close to the campsite?” I changed the subject.

&n
bsp; “Yup,” Sam stated, staring at the large GPS in the middle of the dashboard.

  “Who’s DJing?”

“We need to get this party hype.” Carmen clapped her hands.

“I got it.” Nadine fiddled with her phone.

“Ballin’ by Mustard & Roddy Ricch bellowed through the custom speakers.

“Wait, Nadine! What do you know about this?” I danced in my seat. Emoni grabbed my hand, raising it in the air. We rocked together.

“While I’m scrubbing in for surgery, I throw on my tunes. Remember, I also have a teenage son.”

“Yeah, I hear that. Alexandria was listening to this the other day.”

She nodded her head. “I think they share playlists.”

We sang along as Nadine tore down the highway.

“Who’s playing spades tonight? I am whooping ass and taking names.” Carmen smiled.

“Girl, please. I’ll tear that ass up.” Sydney stuck her tongue out.

“We’ll see who has the best spades game amongst us.” I nodded my head.

We shared our playlists with each other while we snacked.

“No smoothies for two weeks. That will suck.” Sam leaned her head against the window.

  “Princess, you’ll survive.” Sydney snickered.

“Are we really wearing ponytails all week?” I frowned.

“We’ll see.” Carmen pulled her long ponytail through her fingers.

“We are definitely bull riding before this trip is over.” Emoni stared at her phone.

I peeked over her shoulder. “Yeah, that sounds like fun.”

“I can’t wait for Karaoke night.” Samantha danced in her seat.

“I’ll need plenty of alcohol to drag my ass on stage.” Emoni shook her head lying at the other end of the sofa.

“This entire trip is full of alcohol. Starting tonight at the winery. It’s going down.” Samantha wiggled her arched brows.

Her phone rang. Samantha glanced at the screen then threw it in the middle compartment.

  “Sam, is everything all right?”

“Yes, Sierra. I’m just tired of Jacob right now.”

“How do you get tired of that.” Emoni pointed her phone screen toward Samantha.

Samantha smacked her lips. “I get it. Everyone’s caught up with the celebrity. The handsome man in magazines and on camera. Remember, I live with him every day.”
