But I do have something much more powerful and effective than that, and it’s something those publishers would kill to get heir hands on: a committed and loyal group of readers. (You!)

Honest reviews of my books bring them to the attention of other readers (and encourage the Amazon algorithm to promote my books in 'Also Boughts' and search results on the website.)

If you enjoyed this book I would be very grateful if you could spend a few minutes leaving a review (it can be as short as you like) on the book’s page. You can find the links HERE >>

  Acknowledgments

In these Pink Bean acknowledgments, I seem to have acquired the habit of taking stock or, at the very least, addressing the theme the book is about in relation to myself. But life has been so crazy these past few weeks (due to travel, deciding to move back to Belgium, and subsequent house hunting), I’m literally writing this thank-you note when this book should already be at the distributor.

Lack of time to ponder the book, of course, doesn’t mean I’m not very grateful to everyone who has helped me with it.

First and foremost, I must thank my wife, who has had to deal with countless meltdowns of my overly dramatic self during the time it took to write Water Under Bridges, time which was mainly spent on the road and in countries very foreign to me. She deserves a million medals for that alone, but she also came up with the idea for this story. This once again proves that, in my world, no wife would equal no books.

Thank you to my editor and friend, Cheyenne Blue, who does far more than edit my books (and has taught me that long-distance friendship is very much a thing.)

Thank you to my beta-reader, Carrie, whose advice on ‘the scene’ was greatly appreciated and convinced me to cut some long-winded sentences from a crucial moment in the book.

Thank you to all the valued members of my Launch Team, one of whom I met in person a few weeks ago. It turned into a wonderful afternoon and it made me want to meet every single one of you some day—if I should be so lucky.

Last but certainly not least, thank you, Dear Reader, for continuing to make all of this possible for me. Your messages, emails, and reviews cheer me up every single day—and get me through the ones when I don’t feel very writerly inclined.

  Thank you.
