"I was, but I should have found a better way. I just stopped and left you spinning your wheels. I know that had to be hard for you." He cupped her face and ran his thumb across her cheek. "And I know it's going to be hard for you to readjust, and I'm sorry for that. I really am. But I'll be here to help you. We're a team."
"Help me with your paddle, you mean," she grumbled, trying to lighten the mood.
"We'll see." He tapped her nose. "Now, lie back and let me show you how much I love you."
She was only too eager to obey. Her ass tingled beneath her, but it only stoked the desire burning between her thighs.
"You're so wet, baby," Robert murmured.
"Mmm," she agreed. She felt his hot breath on her pussy sending a tingle throughout her body that made her feel sexier and more alive than she could remember being in a long time. When she felt his tongue touch her clit, she gasped. It was surprisingly cool. Yet, as he delved in between her pussy lips and explored, her body was flooded with heat until she thought she must be on fire from the inside-out.
"Ooh," she groaned, curling her toes as he flicked her sensitive nub with his tongue. "That feels so good."
"That's what good girls get. Make sure you remember that next time."
She'd certainly try, that was for sure.
"Stand up."
She was so close to orgasming that his words barely broke through her pleasure-induced haze.
"Sadie, stand up, baby."
Robert was helping her to her feet before she knew what was happening. All she knew for certain was that she had a dull ache between her legs that demanded to be satisfied. Could girls blue ball? She wasn't sure, but if so, she was doing it.
"Turn around. Yes, like that. Now, we're going to play a little game."
"A game?" she groaned. She was sick to death of games. She wanted the end game, right in her wet, hot pussy. Forget everything else.
"Yep. All you have to do is stand up straight. If you don't, you'll get spanked."
She eyed him warily, her brain still not working as fast as it normally did. "All I have to do is stay standing up?"
"Yes."
There was a catch somewhere, but she knew by the glint in his eyes that he wasn't about to divulge it. He'd called it a game, after all. Robert had scooted toward the end of the bed and she stood facing him.
"Lift your arms."
She did so without hesitation, and he helped her out of her dress. She was wearing a sheer hot pink bra, one of his favorites, and she didn't miss the way his eyes lit in appreciation at the sight of it. To her surprise, he stood and walked around her. She waited to feel his fingers, but when she felt his five o'clock shadow brushing against her bare skin, it took everything to keep from laughing. When they'd been in college together, he used to brag that he could take her bra off with his teeth. She'd always laughed it off, but one night she'd demanded that he prove it. That night Robert had proved to her that he was a man of surprises. She didn't want to dwell on where or how he'd learned such a thing, so she'd left it at that.
To feel him do it now brought a rush of good memories flooding back and when he whipped it off her, she couldn't hold back a shiver. She felt young again, desirable. She had a sudden urge to cover up the breasts that swung free, but she resisted. She knew that he'd only make her drop her hands, anyway.
"Beautiful," he praised as he came around to look. "You are a beauty of the ages."
Sadie giggled softly. When Robert was in a particularly romantic mood, he fancied himself something of a poet. There was something about it that made her all the hotter for him. Maybe it was the sincerity in his eyes that made her believe that no matter how outlandish the compliment, he meant every word.
"Now, do you remember the rule?" he asked as sat back on the edge of the bed.
"Keep standing."
He reached forward and tweaked her nipple. "That's right. Shall we begin?"
It wasn't a question that he expected an answer to apparently, because no sooner were the words out of his mouth then his fingers plunged inside her wet pussy. She was so taken by surprise, and the physical contact so desired, that she immediately began to sway on her feet.
He answered with a loud, sharp smack to her left cheek. "Stay standing," he reminded her.
"Ow!" she protested. "That's not fair!"
"My game, my rules."
"Oh, so you're saying if I make the game then we live by my rules?" she asked tartly.
She was rewarded for her smart mouth with an equally hard smack on the right cheek, despite the fact that she stood perfectly upright.
"Why do you fight it? You like it when I make the rules."
"Says who?" she demanded, never one to learn her lesson quickly.
"Says you."
"I never—"
"Not with your mouth, beautiful girl. At least—" he grinned wolfishly, "not with actual words. Tell me you haven't been happier today."
"Well, yes, but—"
"Stop, Sarah." He rarely called her by her real name, and when he did it always got her attention. "No more excuses, no more pretending. You either want this, or you don't. If you tell me you don't, we'll stop right now. But if you do, then you're going to have to give up control, baby. You're going to have to trust me. Do you think you can do that?"
That was just the problem, wasn't it? She wasn't sure.
"What is it?" he asked, rubbing his thumb over the lip she was nervously biting.
"I'm scared," she admitted in a little-girl voice.
"What are you afraid of? Not of me, I hope."
"No!" The thought made her giggle—although he did paddle with the best of them! "I'm afraid that… that if we do this, if I give in and give you control again, that you'll get me trusting you again, get us both back into this lifestyle, and then…"
"And then I'll stop?" he guessed.
"Yes. It was so hard on me! We were both used to this life and then everything changed all of a sudden! When you… when we…"
"Spank?" he suggested.
She took a deep breath and plunged ahead without using the dreaded S word. "When we do DD, it makes me feel whole. I don't know why, but it does. So when you stopped… I felt broken."
"Oh, Sadie." He swept her up in his arms and began covering her face with kisses. "I am so, so sorry, sweetheart. I had no idea. If I'd known…"
"I know you were only worried about the baby," she continued. "I was too, at first, but then when we brought him home, I thought…"
"And now that I'm trying to make things right you're afraid to let go of control?" he guessed.
Ducking her head, she nodded her agreement.
"Well, I can definitely understand that. And I'm sorry I put you in that situation to begin with. I honestly think that domestic discipline works best for us. I like being your HOH, and I like you choosing to submit to me. It gives us balance. But it's up to you, Sadie. You know that I'd never do this without your consent—" He leaned really close and stage-whispered, "Except for those times when you pretend not to consent."
She blushed hotly, but even the mention of their role-play made her pussy gush anew. God, she was horny. She was hot for this man in bed with her, so hot that she thought they might turn the sheets to cinders. It felt good to be his. To love and be loved in return. "Yes."
"Yes?" She didn't miss the hopeful tone in his voice.
"Yes, let's do it. Let's keep doing boot camp, let's go back to domestic discipline."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. The truth is… I think I need it. I've been so stressed out lately."
"I hadn't noticed," he replied dryly.
"Hush!" she scolded, swatting his arm. He arched a brow at her and she quickly added, "I'm trying to give you what you want right now!"
That seemed to mollify him. "Go on."
"I think you're right. We're both happiest when we live this way. So, let's do it. Hopefully, you can help me work on my stress level, and I'll get back in the kitchen."
"I never said—"
"Oh, come on. You and I both know that if we didn't go to McDonalds again for the rest of our lives you would not complain."
"I'm McBurgered out," he agreed, making her giggle. "So, we're doing this? We're committing?"
"We're committing," she echoed, feeling a lightness in her chest that made her beam at him.
"Well, I for one could not be happier to hear you say that." He leaned in and gave her a kiss. "I have a whole drawer full of implements that have been begging to come out and play."
"Hey!"
"Nope, too late, you've committed already," he winked at her. "But as for right now, I believe we have a game to finish."
With a trembling smile, Sadie stood and watched as Robert got comfortable. Turning her head, she caught sight of her reflection in the mirror and had to pause. She was shocked by what she saw there. Her eyes were bright; she was positively glowing. And the baby weight she'd thought she'd been carrying was nothing but womanly curves that defined her new, post-baby body. It seemed that, fueled by her husband's love, she was finally seeing herself clearly for the first time.
When his finger flicked her nub, she arched her back, but managed to stay still otherwise. When his fingers delved inside, thrusting in and out at a mad pace, she began to wobble. He swatted her cheeks with one hand and fingered her with the other. He went faster and faster until she was moaning aloud. As he continued, searching frantically for her g-spot, it seemed, moans turned to cries. Every muscle in her body was taut as she threw her head back and let the wonderful sensations wash over her.
Hmm, she thought when she happened to glance up. Robert was right. A mirror would be great right there.
That was the last thing she thought before her knees gave out. He caught her and gently lowered her to the ground. She shut her eyes, not caring that she was lying on carpet that hadn't been vacuumed in two weeks. She didn't care that she'd probably have rug burn in the morning. When Robert lowered his body onto hers, his cock fitting neatly inside her pulsing pussy, she didn't have another thought outside of how very badly she needed him to fill her.
"You are on birth control, right?" he whispered as he began to thrust in and out.
Crap. Her eyes snapped open and she scowled at him. "Don't go and ruin the mood."
"Honey… you are. Right?"
"Baby," she groaned. "You are killing me. Fuck me already! Do I need to beg?"
"You know the answer to that."
"Fine. Please fuck me, Rob. Fuck me hard, baby!"
No further encouragement seemed to be needed and Robert began to pound into her with a single-minded intensity that literally took her breath away. She wanted to scream, but she didn't have enough air for it, so she settled on moans and scratching his back, clawing him just in an attempt to be one. When she came, it was with a violent spurt that shook her to the core. She thought she might have seen stars. His orgasm was right behind her own, and they were so worn out afterward that they stayed on the floor.
Sadie curled next to her husband, cozying up to his big, strong body, borrowing his warmth. She shut her eyes and let out a deep, contented sigh. She inhaled him, smelling of fresh soap and manly sweat, and listened to his heart beating. She was nearly asleep when she sat up with a gasp.
"What? Sadie, what is it?" Robert asked.
"I just remembered."
"Remembered what, honey?"
"I took it this morning. My birth control pill."
"Oh, thank God," he breathed a sigh of relief and she fell back into him, giggling. His own chuckles followed and they both soon dissolved into fits of laughter.
"Go to sleep," he said, giving me a kiss on my forehead.
"I don't want to go to sleep." Her murmured answer was promptly followed by a yawn.
"Yes, you do. And you need your rest." He stood up and scooped her into his arms and laid her down on the bed. Sadie gave him a sleepy smile as he pulled the covers around her and tucked them in around her. "I'll get some housework done."
"You'll get some housework done," she repeated, grinning.
"Yes, love, I can do housework."
You wouldn't know it, she thought, but wisely chose not to say it.
"Sweet dreams."
Sadie was smiling when she closed my eyes and was asleep nearly as soon as her head hit the pillow.
Chapter Six
"Hey there, sleepy head."
Her eyelids lazily fluttered open and she smiled to see Robert walking in the door.
"Did someone order lunch?"
Sadie opened her mouth to say that she wasn't hungry, but to her surprise she found that she was starving! Their earlier romp must have taken more out of her than she realized. Just then, she happened to glance at the alarm clock and did a double take. Had she really been asleep for almost three hours? Yes, it must have been much more strenuous than she'd thought! Or maybe, just maybe Robert was right and she seriously needed to catch up on sleep.
"Yes, please." She smiled at her husband and he flipped on the bedside lamp and put a tray in front of her.
"Breakfast in bed," he said, bowing grandly at the waist as he uncovered her plate. It was just the plastic microwave cover, but a nice touch.
"Isn't it dinner time?"
"Yes, but no one has dinner in bed. And breakfast is your favorite meal."
To her utter delight, Sadie saw that her plate was laden with fluffy, buttermilk pancakes, three slices of crisp bacon and a pile of scattered hash browns topped with gooey, melted cheese. She inhaled deeply, savoring the delicious aromas with a grin on her face. "You haven't made pancakes in forever," she commented as she began to cut into the thick, buttery stack. "Do you remember when it used to be our Sunday morning tradition?"
"Yep, I remember. Now, it's more like throw Rice Krispies at the kids on the way out the door to church," he grinned.
"They're delicious," she pronounced after she swallowed and took a long sip of milk.
"I'm glad. Maybe I could whip some up when the kids get home."
"They'd love that. I might not want to share, though."
"Speaking of sharing…" Robert picked up the extra fork he'd put on the tray and leaned toward her plate, but she yanked it out of reach, giggling.
"How are the kids?" she asked, relenting and letting him get a bite of pancakes. "Are the girls driving your mom crazy?"
"They're doing great."
She smiled at the news, but after a moment, her smile faded. She hadn't realized until just that moment how much she missed them. "You wouldn't tell me if they weren't, would you?"
"Nope. This weekend is all about us." He reached for her hand and gave it a squeeze. "But trust me, they're doing fine. And they're going to be happy to come home."
"To their mean old mom?" She tried to pretend that she was teasing, but it fell flat.
"Hey, you're too hard on yourself. You just had a baby. You need to cut yourself some slack. No one expects near as much from you as you do."
"I guess you're right."
"Well, I happen to know that I am. And if you keep being mean to my wife, I'm going to have to spank you."
"Is that your answer for everything?"
"This weekend, yes. Now, hurry up and eat. We've got a date to get to."
"This isn't our date?" she asked, arching her brows in surprise.
"No, this, dear wife, is a romantic gesture, for which I hope to be paid back for in full later tonight." He wagged his eyebrows theatrically. "Now, eat your bacon before I steal it."
"Didn't you make enough for two?"
"You know I never make enough bacon."
She grabbed a piece and began stuffing it in to her mouth dramatically, making Robert chuckle. When she saw him eyeing her leftovers, she generously handed him a slice.
"Thanks."
"Oh, don't thank me now. I expect to be paid back in full tonight."
"You little vixen. Hurry up and get dressed."
Sadie slipped out of the covers, stretching luxuri
ously. Apparently, she wasn't fast enough for Robert's taste, because he smacked her bottom to get her moving. "Where are we going?" she called out from the bathroom.
"Not to go all 'dad' on you, but you'll see when we get there!"
***
She still didn't see. Well, she knew where they were, she just wasn't sure she understood why. "What are we doing at a park?"
"You know you're finally an adult when you have to ask that question," Robert teased.
"Seriously, what's up?"
"I am serious," he insisted, wrapping his arms around her. "Take a good look around. What do you see?"
"Um… a park."
"I said a good look. You used to be much better at these things!" he chided.
"Hey, I've had three kids, remember? I've lost a lot of brain cells to growing humans. And may I remind you that you are the one that says I need to be given a break."
"Okay, okay," he grumbled. "Do you remember what we did on our first date?"
Sadie had to think back for a second, but once the memory hit her, she couldn't help but smile. "Yes. We went to a playground. Sort of like this one."
"And?"
"And we rode down on the slide together, and you pushed me on the swing…"
"That was a long time ago."
"It was," she agreed.
"So, I thought we'd make some new, more recent memories."
"Oh, Robert, no," she shook her head.
"Why not?"
"Because, I don't even know if I'll sit fit down a slide, that's why not! What if I get stuck?"
"I'll be here to help."
"I can't imagine anything more mortifying!" she groaned.
"Come on, babe. It's eight at night, we're the only ones here. Let's throw caution to the wind and live dangerously."
Mixing white and colors on wash day was living dangerously. Having to call the fire department to grease her off the slide? Not so much. She was fully prepared to say no way, no how, but when she looked at Robert and saw how his eyes were sparkling with excitement, the words died on her lips. He was trying so hard, and it was working. She was feeling beloved; she was feeling wanted again. She owed him something for all that. Hopefully his payment wouldn't be a really good laugh at her expense.
