His Wolf's Choice Page 5

“Making love to you,” Garin replied, and Daya’s head snapped up meeting his eyes before a wicked smiled drifted across his face a second before he took her lips again in a scorching kiss.

The kiss became softer with Garin nibbling lightly at her lips before trailing his own across her cheek and down her neck stopping at the pulse beating there, and he flicked it with his tongue before he lightly sucked on the skin feeling her pulse jump at the simple motion.

He glanced up at Daya whose eyes were wide open dark orbs bright with the sensations he was creating in her, and he lowered his head to continue trailing lips over her exposed skin stopping at the v neck of the shirt she wore. His tongue lightly traced the edges of the skin exposed by the shirt before it dipped down into the opening, and Daya found herself arching up toward him.

Her reaction was all the encouragement that Garin needed shifting Daya further up on the door, so her breast was on level with his eyes. His blue eyes met her brown ones, and before she could protest, his mouth closed over one of her nipples through the thin material of her shirt and bra, and she let out a cry at the sensation.

“Too many clothes,” Garin muttered before he continued paying attention to her nipple through her shirt.

Daya, reeling from the sensations Garin was eliciting within her, pushed Garin a little way making him shift her weight with his hands. With hands trembling, Daya unbutton her shirt leaving it to gap open and then she arched her back which elicited a small groan from Garin, so she could reach behind her to undo her bra.

Garin watched her movements and when her bra loosened, he took advantage by leaning forward nudging the bra aside, so he could nuzzle the skin underneath before his attention went back to the nipple bare to him now. His teeth gently closed around her nipple nibbling gently, and she cried out at the slight discomfort although the pleasure outweighed it.

He continued playing with her breasts making Daya’s breathing erratic and her eyes closed a flush on her face.

Garin kept his blue eyes on her face even while his lips were creating such havoc in her body and when his lips started to travel down over her abdomen down to the edge of her jeans, Daya’s eyes flashed open shifting down to him.

She sucked in her breath creating a gap which Garin slid his tongue and she stopped breathing for a second, and Garin laughed huskily at the reaction he elicited from her.

He stared at her seeing the flush that swept from her forehead to the top of her breasts, and her eyes fluttered open to stare at him. Her brown eyes were glazed over passion lingering in their depths, but he could also see confusion and bewilderment intermingling with it.

Garin shifted closer to her seeing her eyes widen at his nearness and he felt satisfaction spread through him having a feeling he was the first man to elicit such emotions within her.

He leaned forward kissing her stomach feeling the muscles tremble and he grinned against her. He would’ve said something if he didn’t hear the giggling of a woman and low rough voice of a man heading for the room, and with a low groan, Garin rested his head against her stomach while his hand reached out locking the door.

“Damn,” he heard the man mutter. “Someone must be using the room now. Let’s go to my room.”

Garin heard the breathless giggle when they walked away and stumble upstairs. Then he leaned back to stare up at the woman he still had pinned to the door studying the passionate glow on her face while her jerky breathing was heaving her bare breast up in front of his eyes. He lifted his head to meet Daya’s eyes seeing that passion was beginning to recede while shame along with confusion had took its place.

He let her slide back down until her uncovered breasts were brushing his chest through his own shirt.

“There is nothing to be ashamed of, Daya,” Garin uttered kissing her gently feeling her shiver slightly.

He pulled back holding her next to him while he stared at her with shielded blue eyes not wanting her to see them change and cause her to get upset, more than she was already. He leaned his forehead against her feeling her breasts brushing his chest.

“We need to calm ourselves down before we go back out there.”

“Oh, no,” Daya spoke in a low voice thinking about what she was doing, and how she broke her own rule about not getting involved with her professor’s pack especially making out with one of her members. She lifted her head staring at Garin with a pale face. “What is going on? Why do you have this effect on me?”

“I don’t know,” he replied honestly leaning forward to brush his lips across her temple. “You have the same effect on me, Daya, and I don’t know how to explain it.”

She sighed leaning her head onto his neck and he nestled her close before shifting her to his side walking her over to the couch. He sat down and pulled Daya down, so she straddled his lap watching the blush that swept over her face at the intimate position.

He pushed her dark hair back from her face laughing lightly at her expression. He settled his hands on her hips and noticing her state of undress, Daya blushed before lifting her hands to straighten her clothing. After she was done, Daya settled her hands lightly on his chest meeting his eyes.

“What do you want from me, Garin?” She asked in a soft voice biting her bottom lip.

“I don’t know,” he repeated smoothing his hands up and down her back.

A knock sounded on the door, and Daya removed herself from Garin’s lap rushing over to the desk where her assignment sat waiting for her.

Garin watched her for a second before he got up and walked over to the door unlocking it.

“Garin,” Kala greeted with a raised eyebrow before glancing inside the room. “I was wondering if Day needed any help since you’ve been in here for some time.”

“No,” Daya replied hearing her response. “Garin and I were talking, and we lost track of time.”

Garin didn’t have to look at Daya to know she was blushing, and Kala glanced at her briefly before slanting him a look.

“Is there anything else you need, ma’am?” Garin asked keeping his tone light while his wolf clamored inside him at the interruptions for this evening.

“No, but Trevor said he needs to speak with you about something,” Kala replied a smile tugging at her lips.

“Okay,” Garin nodded his head heeding the summons of his Alpha. He turned to look at Daya who was focused on the article although a light blush still stained her cheeks. “Daya, I will be back after I speak with Trevor.”

“Trevor,” Daya asked lifting her head to stare at him in confusion.

“My husband,” Kala replied getting Daya’s attention who nodded her head before going back to her assignment.

“Daya,” Garin’s stern voice got her attention again. “I will be back so don’t leave this room until I return.”

Daya’s eyes narrowed at his words, and he grinned winking at her. “Remember, I’m your protector for tonight.”

At his teasing words, Kala stared at Garin in shock while Daya, unable to help herself, started to laugh.

“I can take care of myself, Garin,” Daya told him a smile on her face.

“I’m sure you can,” Garin agreed with a wicked look, “but I would be going against my orders if I didn’t stick with you.”

Daya opened her mouth to say something before she snapped it closed and shook her head returning her attention to the paper in front of her.

“I’ll be back in a few minutes,” Garin assured her walking out of the room with Kala, and he found himself smiling when Daya nodded her head nibbling on the end of the pen she had picked up.

Closing the door behind him, Garin turned his gaze to Kala. “Is Trevor still outside, Alpha Female?” He uttered in a low voice.

“No, Garin, he is in his office,” Kala reported giving him a sly look. “I’m sure if you hurry you can finish up talking with him before Daya finishes the assignment.”

Garin gave her a quick nod of his head and a slight bow before he headed for the front office hoping th
at his Alpha didn’t need him for long. He had a feeling that Daya wouldn’t wait once she was done if he wasn’t back by then.

Knocking on his Alpha’s door, he waited for the summons to enter opening the door when it came.

“Alpha, you requested my presence,” Garin stated walking into the room and closing the door behind him. “It must be important, if you left the party.”

“Not really, but I wanted to give you heads up since I just got the news,” Trevor told him standing up from his desk. “Alec called to inform me that Alpha Leonardo may be asking for protection within the next few weeks. He wasn’t sure of all the details only that it would be protecting an Alpha Female who is being stalked by an unknown individual group.”

“No information on why,” Garin asked a frown on his face.

“Not at the moment,” Trevor explained leaning a hip against the edge of the desk. “I’ve already informed Sebastian and I want you to start training, so you will be prepared when the call comes.”

“Alpha Leonardo,” Garin muttered giving Trevor a swift look.

“Yes, although why he is asking us when he is one of the strongest packs right alongside the Red Moon Pack,” Trevor remarked running a hand through his hair. “Leonardo’s fighter wolves are some of the best although I would put my fighter wolves up against them any day of the week.”

Garin gave a wolfish smile at the confidence his Alpha had in him and the other fighter wolves in his pack.

“Alec will keep me informed when he gets more information,” Trevor continued straightening and heading for the door.

Garin followed him a thoughtful look on his face. “Brianna should be coming back soon, right,” he asked meeting his Alpha’s eyes. Brianna was their pack doctor, but she was currently visiting her parents who had come to see her when they sensed she was upset.

“Yes,” Trevor answered. “I received a message from her the other day about her parents’ well-being although she admitted it took her some time to convince them that she will be fine.”

“She decided to stay,” Garin surmised.

“She did, and I’m hoping that Alec will come to his senses sooner or later,” Trevor admitted sharing a look with Garin who nodded his head in agreement. “Now, I’m to understand that there is a young woman who could be waiting for you.”

“Hopefully, sir,” Garin replied giving his Alpha a small bow before he broke off heading back down the small side hallway to Kala’s office.

Knocking on the door, Garin pushed it open just as Daya stood up pushing the chair in.

“I made it back just in time,” Garin remarked stepping into the room seeing Daya jerk at his voice. “You were thinking of getting IT done and slipping away, huh?”

“Well, yes,” Daya admitted walking over to the door. “Garin, I think…”

Garin put a hand over her lips feeling their softness against his palm. “Why don’t you just enjoy the party? I’ll be your partner for the evening.”

“But, what about Tammie?” Daya asked glancing down when Garin removed his hand from her mouth to take her hand interlocking their fingers. “She is waiting for you.”

“Tammie has probably found another to keep her company for the evening,” Garin stated sounding so sure that Daya gave him a thoughtful look.

“I thought you two were dating,” she voiced in a soft voice.

Garin didn’t reply, but his hand squeezed hers in a light grip leading her back through the house to the party.

“What is this party for anyway?” Daya asked when they stepped outside just as music floated through the air.

Garin diverted her attention by swinging her into his arms and dancing her onto the lawn unaware of the shock expressions that filtered through the crowd.

Daya laughed her eyes searching the crowd a frown flicking across her face when she didn’t see Tammie.

“Like I said, she found another to keep her company,” Garin whispered in her ear making her shiver slightly.

Daya turned a scowl to him. “But…”

“Shh,” Garin uttered leaning back to stare at her while he twirled her around on the grass. “Just enjoy the dance and me.”

Daya found her mouth dropping open at the arrogance in his voice, but the look on his face was at odds with the confidence in his tone.

“That’s not too hard to do,” Daya teased letting her body relax in his arms, and Garin winked at her twirling her around again until Daya realized he was ushering her to the makeshift dance floor that Kala had erected.

“She thinks of everything,” Daya murmured giving her head a brief shake.

“She has to,” Garin replied not going into detail since he couldn’t explain fully without telling her the truth about them.

“Why does she…?” Daya asked tilting her head to the side looking up at him although she already knew the answer, and Garin chuckled leaning down to put his forehead against hers.

“You are nosy,” he chided staring down into her eyes.

“Not really, but I’m nervous and to keep from thinking about it, I take my mind off it by thinking of other things,” Daya admitted her eyes going wide a second later which elicited a gruff laugh from Garin.

“Let me see what I can do to take your mind off it completely,” Garin whispered wickedly before he lowered his head and caught her lips in a tantalizing kiss.

“Wow, look at Garin,” Jaime muttered from where he stood with Kelsey, Kala and Sebastian, and they all turned to see what he meant.

“Isn’t that…” Kelsey began her eyes widening slightly. “That’s Daya. I’ve seen her at school, but she is always rushing around.”

“She’s been working,” Kala informed her taking a sip of the drink she held while her gaze narrowed on Garin and Daya who were now laughing although there was a blush on Daya’s cheeks.

“I thought Garin was hooking up with Tammie,” Kelsey uttered her eyes searching the area and a frown settled on her face.

“She got a phone call and disappeared about half an hour ago,” Sebastian remarked a smile coming to his face. “Personally, I don’t see what Garin likes about her and she is also…”

“He knows,” Jaime interjected. “So, I was surprised when I saw he invited her here today.”

Kala turned a frown to Jaime who shared a look with Sebastian. “He knows what?” Her tone was sharp when she asked this question, and it was Kelsey who replied her tone low.

“Tammie has other lovers, or hookups, then Garin.”

Kala’s mouth thinned at the information while her eyes narrowed even more on Garin with Daya. “It was a bad idea after all.”

“Alpha Female,” Jaime and Sebastian asked seeing the look on her face watching Garin.

“It’s nothing,” Kala shook her head turning away from them just as Trevor stepped out of the house, and her face softened staring at him.

Jaime and Sebastian started laughing while Kelsey looked on with a look of awe on her face.

“Why do you look so shocked, honey?” Jaime asked sliding an arm around her waist.

“Because this is all so new to me,” Kelsey admitted her eyes shadowed slightly. “I’ve never been around an Alpha and Alpha Female who lit up at the sight of each other.”

Kala turned to her with a smile. “You’ve lived without a pack for a while, haven’t you, Kelsey?”

Kelsey nodded her head. “But even if so, I don’t remember them acting like you two.”

Jaime chuckled while Sebastian shook his head walking away, and Kala patted Kelsey on the shoulder before going to join Trevor who was talking to some of the pack members.

“Hey, honey,” he greeted when she walked over to them putting an arm around her shoulders.

He continued talking with his guests before they made their excuses to go hit the buffet table, and after they left, Trevor kissed Kala on the side of the temple.

“It wasn’t a bad idea,” he commented getting a surprised look from her, and he nodded his head to the makeshift danc
e floor. “When was the last time we saw Garin having a good time and not immediately heading for the bedroom?”

“They were alone in my office,” Kala reminded him with a frown.

Trevor chuckled leaning down to nuzzle her neck. “Garin has never used the office as you know, so if something did happen then it may mean…”

“He couldn’t control himself,” Kala uttered her voice filled with shock shifting her gaze back to the dance floor and the man they were talking about. “That has never happened to him before.”

“Which means your student has an effect on him, one he never suspected.” There was a thoughtful note in Trevor’s voice, but Kala started to frown.

“Garin has never been faithful to any women, neither has he ever stayed with them long,” Kala remarked heaving a heavy sigh. “I don’t want Daya to get hurt especially…”

“Daya may surprise you,” Trevor intervened with a smile leading her away. “She probably will surprise Garin even more.”

“What do you mean?” Kala asked only to get a wink from Trevor before turning to greet a new wave of guests.

Kala eyed her mate suspiciously, but she couldn’t detect anything in his expression and sighing, she focused on the conversation deciding to push it from her mind. Sooner or later, he will tell her what he meant and afterwards, well, she would see what happens depending on what it is he is keeping to himself.

Sitting in his office a thousand miles away, Jordan stared across the room when a knocked sound at the closed door.

“Come in,” he called out absently.

“Jordan,” Bryan greeted walking into the room sheets of paper in his hand closing the door behind him. “I know you let Jared take over the pack budge to get him ready to take over from you as Alpha, but I don’t think…”

His words trailed off when he looked up and noticed Jordan wasn’t paying attention to him.

“Jordan,” he said in concern noting that ever since the attack a month ago, Jordan had been acting odd.

“I got a phone call about half an hour ago,” Jordan suddenly stated turning to face Bryan. “It was Alpha Trevor.”
