She ran to Joy. She embraced her. Joy wailed, holding Roya tightly. The man dropped to his knees, and died in front of their eyes. Roya kneeled down, kissing Joy’s cheek. Javon rose and ran to them. Roya felt arms wrapped around her from behind. She turned to see Javon, reached for his face, and kissed his forehead. She took her other arm to embrace him also. While they were in an embrace, Tavon and Yosef spoke to the evil men in a foreign language. Beside them, two bodies had bullet holes in their chest, blood spurted through their jackets, and another had a head wound. Tavon waved his hands in a circular motion over their corpses and they came to life. Terrified of the Holy Spirit dwelling in Tavon, these men jumped up, galloped up the stairs to the second level, and sprinted through the hallways until they found a way out of the building.
“Why did they race out of here?” Yosef shrugged.
“Not my concern.” Tavon sprinted to his family that were kneeling a few feet in front of him.
“Jesus. You just raised those men from the dead,” Roya spit saliva as she spoke.
“Mom, don’t lose your hope, faith, and love for your fellowman during this time.”
“Not after that,” Roya said, without thought. “Look at the man over there, crying, and raising his hands.”
Tavon explained. “He hasn’t taken the mark yet. He only worked for the Task Force, following orders. Nothing more. Satan is evil and uses his untruthfulness to stir people away from God’s character. Mom, is his true mission and reason IS this chaos.”
“Stay wide-awake and in prayer.” Joshua ambled to their side. “My eyes didn’t fail me; I know what I just witnessed.” He rubbed his eyes.
“Jesus is present. He knows all, enclosures us during the end of time.” Tavon’s eyes looked upward.
“Amen,” uttered Joshua, Yosef, and Derrick as they formed a circle around the rejoicing family.
Tavon felt the heavenly presence of God and His angels standing over all the men still in the auditorium, raising his hands in the air to the Heavenly Father, quoting from the Scriptures for all who would hear and receive the Word of God, “Friends, what you witnessed here is proof that Jesus was here. Be glad that you’re in the very thick of what Christ experienced—he also said we’d do greater things than he did. This is a spiritual refining process. And thank GOD we survived this horrendous act from the enemy to destroy God’s message by killing the messenger.”
“That’s right,” someone shouted.
“Yes. I thought that man over there was going to kill me,” Joy pointed at the agent still on his knees, tears streaming down his cheeks, watered his shirt.
Javon’s voice echoed through the auditorium, “There will be persecution and even death. We saw that with Solomon Whitmore.” He turned to Roya, “Mom, I know that you’ve suffered and witnessed what those evil men can do to you and your family, but we serve a mighty God. It starts with us.” He patted his chest and puffed it out. “Their message was fear of what the world could do! God’s message is love!”
“You’re right Son.” She reached to hug Javon.
Tavon continued, “Think what it’s going to be like for those who refuse God’s Message!”
“Tell us,” a man shouted.
“If good people barely make it, what’s in store for the bad? So, if you find life difficult because you’re doing what God said, take it in stride. Trust Him. He knows what He’s doing, and He’ll keep on doing it.”
“Like he showed up today,” Minister said.
“That’s correct. Jesus’s main concern is we take care of his believers during these trying times—like you Joshua, to lead the people to the pastures—to a hiding place.” Tavon said. “Agent Snoop had a place for my brother and I to hide until things were clear and safe to come out.”
“Where’s Agent Snoop?” Roya and Joshua said at the same time.
No one answered.
“What are you talking about?” Joy asked.
Tavon knew she believed he was talking off his rocker. Some things of the Lord don’t make worldly sense but spiritual sense.
“My time has come to lead many, and so will my brother Javon. The enemy wants to destroy us or enslave us to follow his ruling, but my gifts are not to serve the world and its ruler, Satan, but to serve the Lord for all the days of my life to give him the glory, honor, and praise! Today, those people tried to stop us!”
“I agree. We were warned they’re after us if we spoke about Satan’s plans, schemes, or the universal ID. The microphone lost its sound when we mentioned it.” Javon added.
“Jesus is here!” Tavon’s voice roared like a Lion.
Every man and woman in the room wept, raising their hands in the air with their heads tilted back, and feeling the breeze of heavenly angels encircled around them.
Joy shouted aloud, “Angels are here! I see them. Encamped around us.” She dropped to her knees. Those standing fell to their knees and gave praise.
Then, Roya wiped the sweat off Tavon’s eyebrows, and kissed his forehead. She murmured, “God told me that I’d raise prophets.”
“I know Mom,” Tavon added.
“Thank you, Lord for protecting us. Thank you for sending your angels to our rescue.” Roya said proudly. “Blessing me to be with my children, and Lord, to see the dead rise and for your children to escape the threat of death from flying bullets too.”
“We all witnessed this.” Joshua shouted.
“I’ll stay here while my sons are attending their summer session on campus. I’ll have to rent a small apartment nearby or stay at a motel. Lord, Your will is done!”
People came up to them, shaking the hands of the young prophets. Their sudden reactions clearly shown that they were amazed at what God had done in that hour.
“This is a new hour. God goes before us and behind us,” they said.
CHAPTER 12
Chaos continues to reign in the world
Jaizon
“I still cannot believe what I witnessed with my very own eyes,” Jaizon said. He ran to his parked vehicle, and carefully drove past the swarming crowd leaving the concert.
He focused on what had happened in Pennsylvania, and decided he needed to pull over at the park he’d just passed. Seating himself on a bench near a small gurgling brook, he smelled the scents of nature and listened to the rustle of the wind through the leaves.
“Dear Lord, now that I’m living my life as your born-again son, I feared for my dear life.” He lowered his head. “But what’s really on my heart is that I’m scared I’m losing my wife Pammie, who’s drifting to the false prophets and their reality. After hearing the twins speak on this, I woke up. I came to You. I know she watches reality TV, and loves that Riches to Life Empowerment TV and game show…Her attitude has worsened, the money and fame has gotten to her head...”
“Please Lord, open her eyes, and speak to her. Show her the truth.” He gasped. “She believes that I’m having lewd relations with groupies. Satan’s putting thoughts in her mind to believe the worse.” His eyes became watery. “I know Satan will attack those who get closer to you, and saw how he tried to attack Solomon’s boys.” He raised his hands to the sky. “Lord Jesus, I need to hear from you. I need to know what I should do right now.”
He rose and strolled along the pathway beside the brook leading to a lake. He listened to the waters. He looked at the purplish hues in the sky. He thought about what it took to be a husband. To be a leader, the head in his household, and pondered on if his wife was being submissive—Proverbs 31 woman, that may preach on. He didn’t believe in divorce.
He prayed, “I pray that she’s willing to find you, seek after you, and come to you.” He paced back and forth, kicking the stones across the lake. “I thought I was doing the right thing…not to live in sin.”
He started walking to his Mercedes Benz SL 500. The song he’d sung for the gospel album rang in his head, and he started humming it. His mind drifted back to his Pammie. “Lord, I’m not sure why she’s still holding onto past gru
dges and memories. Now it seems like, when we argue, she only focuses on things from our past life to make her feel and look like the bigger person. Please Lord, allow me to go home and speak to her with humbling words from my heart to let her see how much I truly love her.” Jaizon looked upward and a tear dripped down his right cheek. “I know life can slip away like a vapor.”
He rushed to his vehicle, pressing the key chain to unlock and turn the ignition on. He heard the sounds of Smokie Norful coming through the car’s speakers. He leaned back in his leather seat, and his spirit felt replenished with God’s Word and felt relieved to hear the promises of the Lord in the notes of the uplifting voice. Minutes later, he pulled into the garage of his mansion.
He turned the car off. He walked in on Pammie watching a hypnosis DVD on relieving stress.
“What is this?” He asked in a loud voice.
“A DVD on how to counteract stress.”
“Looks like some voodoo, hocus pocus, loony crap. Take that DVD out, now!”
“What’s wrong with you?” Pammie rose from the couch. “You storm in her like a mad man and I am watching something to relax my mind, from STRESS!”
“What stress do you have? I’m the only one working and paying the bills!” He snapped. This is not how I played it out in my mind.
“I heard you pull up.” She drew closer. “You’re right. No stress. I’m here to impress.” She slowly rubbed her leopard print silk gown with matching leopard print slippers.
“You’re right baby. I’m sorry.” He embraced her. “I love you, girl.” He kissed her lips, then her cheeks, and back to her lips.
She cupped her hands on his face, and drew him closer to her, and pressed her lips on his forehead. “I know you love me.” Pammie jumped and embraced his waist with her legs while wrapping her hands around his neck. Then, she planted several kisses on his face, cheeks, ears, forehead, and nose until she met his lips again.
“Whoa, baby. You lavishing me with so much love, you’re smothering me!” Jaizon inhaled.
He smiled after she flourished him with so many kisses on his face. He carried his wife in his arms into the living room and sat her down on the couch. He slowly took her house slippers off her weary feet. He massaged and caressed every pressure point in her feet as she laid her head back against the cushions on the couch.
“Oh Jaizon, that feels so good.” She stared into his eyes. “I’ve been modeling in those stylish heels and walking the runways all this week. You don’t know how good that feels. Thank you, baby.”
“Baby, just know that I love you so. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you. This is only a little bit I can do to express my love for you,” Jaizon replied, glaring into her eyes as he continued to rub her feet and moving up to her ankles.
She started laughing, screaming, “It tickles, stop. It tickles, Jaizon!”
Jaizon stopped. He undressed Pammie with his eyes.
“You want me, don’t you?” She said with a sexy slur. She stood up and hummed to a R&B song as slipped out of her leopard nightgown. She let her body slowly drop to the carpet. He stared in amazement. He crawled on his knees to touch her glistening golden-brown body, and kissed every inch of her starting from her toes, feet, legs, and up to every part of her as he stood up embracing her in his arms as he kissed her luscious lips. She slowly undressed him, He attempted to speak and she placed her two fingers over his lips to hush. He allowed her to take the lead.
Boy, prayers really work. Thank you, Jesus, he whispered deep inside of his spirit, happy to have his wife, Pammie, back in his arms once again.
After such a lovely night with his beautiful model-like wife, he left a rose and typed a letter on butterfly paper, reading,
God is love.
Who created the moon, sun, and stars above.
God is love.
He sent the Holy Spirit like a dove.
God is love.
His Son to die for our sins, for we are who He thought of.
God loves you, me, and the many nations.
We are to give thanks and supplication.
Jesus is our model, our demonstration.
For He is love, and desires us to love our fellowman.
We are to trust in God to direct our path, set us on our plan.
Through all our addictions, pain, and suffering, God still loves us.
All we have to do is call on the name of Jesus.[15]
Jaizon added his own comments after the poem:
Pamela Amanda Righteous-Golden, you are the love of my life that God brought you to me to make you my wife. We have to trust God to direct our paths as a couple, as equals, and as individuals. You desire to be a model and I’ll support you wholeheartedly. I thank God for you every day. Please ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior.
Pammie
Pammie tossed and turned in the bed, reached over to touch Jaizon, and woke up, finding herself alone. She saw the red rose at the bottom of the covers, near her feet, and picked up the rose to smell it. She pulled the taped poem off the flower to read it. Who is this God that Jaizon loves so dearly? He really wants me to give my life to a Savior. I’ve already seen who the Messiah is. I want Jaizon to see and feel what I’ve discovered. I’ll receive it in the mail soon. I know Jaizon will be happy to find out the truth. We’ll be on one path together as a couple, as equals, and as individuals once he comes back from his tour. Messiah is good. Perfect timing, this is why I ordered two packages—one for him and one for me.
“Hey Babe. Thanks for the beautiful words…you wrote,” Pammie yelled, and slid off the bed into her slippers.
“Come and find me babe. There’s something I have for you.”
“Okay, here I come,” Pammie raced to his voice.
Pammie chuckled. “Whoa, you’re fixing breakfast. This is a first.”
“I got this.” He cut up the fruit, placing it on a plate containing her favorite honey and Greek yogurt. He leaned down to kiss her as he placed the plate in front of her.
“Oh, so you didn’t use the stove?” Pammie joked.
“Nah. Healthy and nutritious, plus, I saw you were on your smoothie diet.”
“This is de-e-licious. Thanks babe. There’s something I have to tell you.”
“Pammie, there’s something I have to tell you first.” Jaizon had the news running in the background.
“Hey babe, turn that up. Isn’t that at the place you performed at in Philly?”
“Yes. That’s what I wanted to tell you about…” Jaizon turned the volume up.
They both listened to the news program.
“I’m blessed you’re not dead!” She cried as she raced to his side to hug him.
“Me too.” He embraced her tighter. “Hold on.” He raised his finger.
“Ain’t that those twin preachers?” She inquired.
“You can say that.” He shushed her. “Praise God, they lived. An Angel was with them.”
“I see the agents came up empty-handed.” She blurted.
“What do you mean by that?” He quizzed.
“Nothing…just overheard the agents were there to take the boys…”
“Where?” He hammered. “What do you know?”
“I was carefully listening to the news…they said it. It’s nothing.” She had watched a network channel speaking on the boys’ sermon and what could come of them if they shared too much, sharing the plans of government and worldly leaders. I can’t share this with Jaizon. He wouldn’t understand.
“You might be right. I must’ve missed that part.” Jaizon calmed down.
Pammie snapped a week later, worrying about Jaizon’s next concert. She wandered around the house, shouting, “How could he leave now! Still doing concerts after what happened with those twin boys. He could’ve been killed! Shot!” She picked up her phone. “Another text. Another message. I’m not being bothered,” She threw the phone on the couch. “How could he do a world tour when I need him the most?”
The doorbell rang. She answe
red the door and saw the box at the door. She picked it up, closed the door, and quickly opened the box. She smiled from ear to ear. “Only if Jaizon was here.”
She reminisced on how he’d made such good love to her, placed a red rose at the edge of the bed, and written a beautiful poem. What’s going on now? Jaizon’s last text read,
Landed in Tampa. Hometown.
Jaizon
Jaizon’s mansion looked like a tornado has hit it when he got home. It’s as if someone stormed through, looking for all I have.
“Pammie! Hey, Pammie!”
At receiving no answer, Jaizon took his mother’s favorite tactic, using Pammie’s full name. “Pamela! Pamela Amanda Righteous-Golden! Where are you! I’m home!”
He marched into the kitchen to see dishes with crud and mildew growing on some of the food particles left on the dishes. A rotten smell lingered in the kitchen. He opened the cabinet to see an overflowing pail of garbage still underneath the sink. What happened to my wife’s order and maintaining of our household? Maybe she allowed her modeling career to forget about her priorities at home too? How could a woman leave this place a mess! Wait, did something happen to her? No, I’d have heard from someone. This has to be several days old.
Jaizon took out the trash and cleaned up the dishes after soaking them for thirty minutes in soapy bleach water. He put all his suits and other clothing garments in the closets and drawers. After unpacking his suitcases, he ran down the stairs to move the dishes from the soapy water to the dishwasher. After mopping the floors, he set Christian Gospel music on his stereo-speaker system and let it play throughout his million-dollar mansion. The music motivated him to clean up the remaining mess throughout the house. He had no idea where she could be or what she was doing since she didn’t answer any of his calls, or respond to any of his messages in the last week. He began to worry that she’d been kidnapped, or killed. Where is she?
