The Gift of Fiji to Denmark Page 2

by King Fernidad Frederick of Prussia

As many nights and days pass under the flag of the Free State of Denmark flying at high mast does the island Fiji become clear to my sights. Navigating far from the coast of America away from the high seas did the air here become clean and the water clear. Now at Fiji island I can see the people and the shops fill the coast with pleasure boats running around and people lining the streets with cars driving by as the tourists swim around the shores. I leave the bridge and call for the crew up to the deck to listen to my words. The command goes around loud about the ship and when the crew came outside on deck I began to shout to all the crewmen with this message. Today is Prussia's day! Today we are the Imperial Prussian Navy that conquered an island! Men of my command fire all canons Portside towards the shores of Fiji! The crew cheers. They begin to shout. As you command your Majesty! The crew begins to take up arms and man the canons. Set the canons! Shouts the commander. Ready commander! Shouts the crew. On my mark! Shouts the commander. Get set and fire all heros Portside! The ship begins to rock as sixteen of the canons on the Portside out of the thirty four canons aboard the ship crackle and burn as they pound the noise of fire and thunder across the shores of Fiji under the broad day of sunlight. Windows smash in the shops, cars stop as the streets burn, people running and screaming with the sound of terror and fear in their eyes. Fire reload, and fire at will! Shouts the commander. Pounding and firing the guns explode nonstop for hours. This will clear the path in my way as Fiji has done nothing wrong that deserves a salute from myself the King of Prussia to our new island the way the Prussian Navy intended for a King entering port for his first time on his new island. I shout. This is our sound of trumpets as we are the Prussians! I then give my command. Commander! Ready the gatling guns aboard the crafts we are going ashore! The commander gives the orders to the crew. Man the crafts! The crew responds. Yes commander! The crew then prepares the gatling guns aboard the ships crafts that begin to lower and take them to the islands shores. Craft after craft now lowered takes the Prussian Hussars towards the beaches of Fiji. And with pleasure of course, for we are not sailors we are just soldiers, and we are the Prussian Hussars and this land is our friend. As I board the last of the leaving crafts of the ship, myself with my crew begin the short travel towards the beaches of a gun shelled Fiji.

  Chapter 4.

One by one the ships crafts land on the sand of Fiji. Myself and

the rest of the crew disembark and walk the beaches. I give the orders. Men! Land the gatling guns! Yes, your Majesty! Shouts the crew. I shout. This has got to be the shot around the world! For I am King Fernidad Frederick of Prussia the Emperor of Fiji! An attack of this kind has got to make international news across multiple countries and all over the United States and Europe. A helicopter flys overhead. I can see the cameras now as all of my two hundred and one soldiers of the King's Royal Hussars standing on the beach of Fiji on command with their Hussarian uniforms of green and gold with long sabers attached at their hips and myself wearing my finest royal suit with red sash and medals of the orders of the black and red Prussian eagle in sight of the news helicopter. I shout. They can't miss us! This is no ordinary event as this is a royal event that does change Fiji forever! Soon multiple trucks appear down the sand of the beach headed towards our direction. I give the command. Men! In parade formation! The crew responds. Yes, your Majesty! I shout. We must look good in front of the television cameras! I myself now take the pleasure of standing one hundred feet in front of my crew ready to greet the arival of several military trucks. The trucks stop just short of me as Fiji military policemen get out and approach me. Are you mad?! Shouts one of the policeman. Oh! I replied. You speak English! I quickly offer my handshake and introduce myself as none other than His Majesty King Fernidad Frederick of Prussia. The policeman slaps my hand away and shouts. You are in big trouble! The policemen then turn around and get back in their trucks and sit. So, I waited. After all, we are the Prussian Empire one of the largest military forces in the world and I just so happen to be the owner of it. What would happen if they dare arrest a major head of state? It would cause a major conflict and war with Fiji and they know it. Soon, another helicopter flys overhead and lands near. Men in brown suits get out of the helicopter and approach. One of the men in a brown suit fat and overweight stands right in front of me almost touching my nose who could clearly crush me with his bare hands. I introduce myself. I say to the man in brown. Sorry about the misunderstanding sir, who are you? The man in a brown suit responds. I am Prime Minister of Fiji! What is going on with you your Majesty?! I reply. Nothing. Some damage has occured from the King's Royal Hussars of the Imperial Prussian Navy and we appologize for the damage we have caused and we will surly repair and compensate for our troubles we have caused Fiji. I fall to the ground and pass out. He hit me so hard it was like getting struck by one of the trucks he was with.

  Chapter 5.

Waking up in the local Fiji jail I wondered what happened to my crew mates. A guard at the desk stands up and hands me a local newspaper he was reading and sits back down. The headline read. Fiji Under English Attack! Now this is confusing, I could have sworn we were the Prussians although the King's Royal Hussars is serving in England but then I soon recalled that Fiji was under the dominion of Queen Elizabeth II. If there was any English attack it would be her responsibility as head of state of Fiji. About a week later they set me free and told me a story of the British Navy from Australia making a deal of reprimands for me and to have me released. We never made it past India.
