My art editor, Tanja at Deranged Doctor Design. What is portrayed on the front of a novel often determines if someone will consider reading it. Covers are critical to success. It is thrilling to give someone a written concept of an idea and then get back an image file that flawlessly gives your words life. To finally see the email with the attached image, arrive in your mailbox, is like Christmas morning. You are a professional and dream maker. Thank you, Tanja.
My publisher, Blackstone Publishing. Thank you for reasonable deadlines and mostly, for believing in my talent. You can’t know the pride I feel when I tell people that I am “with a publisher.” It is a milestone that many independent writers secretly wish for. You have made mine come true. I will do my best to make you proud. Thank you, Blackstone Publishing.
My readers. I hope I lived up to your expectations. It takes months of work and personal sacrifice to create this series. I am grateful that you took the time to read my story. Thank you.
And so, the story of John Eric Carver and Shrek has ended. At least, for now. I earlier stated that authors write for many reasons. I write for you. This is the truth. Every day, I look at two things. Reviews and sales. I check the reviews first.
Please consider taking a few moments to leave a five-star review of the novel. Not only does it propel more sales, but it encourages my publisher to keep me working. But if I failed to live up to your expectations, all critiques are welcome. It makes me a better writer and shows me that you care.
Again, thank you and stay frosty.
About the Authors
Walt Browning was born in Northeast Ohio. An avid athlete in High School, he went on to play college Rugby and Golf, competing against future PGA professionals John Cook and Paul Azinger. He is a doctor and continues to practice today in Central Florida, where he started his career almost 30 years ago. A personal friend and successful author, Angery American, encouraged him to try his hand at writing. His first book, the highly rated “The Book of Frank: ISIS and the Archangel Platoon”, is available on Amazon and led to a collaboration with A.A on the Charlie’s Requiem series. Charlie, a 28-year-old drug rep, is caught in Orlando after an EMP destroys the country’s electric grid. Her attempts to survive the chaos and horrors of a society destroyed create a fast-paced story of death and redemption. The first book in this series sat at the top of Amazon’s dystopian category for over a month.
Walt’s future as an author looks bright, with planned novels in the medical mystery/action genre. further dystopian/science fiction novels and of course, the continuation of the Extinction Survival series.
