Cuff Me, Sheriff

“I won’t hear another word about it. I’m allowed to refuse consent, too, and right now, I’m not consenting to sex,” Bob said. “We can revisit this when you’re making sense.”

I didn’t want to revisit it. I wanted sex. Now.

“This isn’t fair,” I grumbled. But I knew it wouldn’t do any good. He’d revoked his consent. The scene was over. We were done.

He slathered something cold over my skin and I moaned as it soothed the prickling pain in my ass. At some point soon after, I must have fallen asleep.

It was hard to turn down my sexy, spanked submissive but she was showing all the signs of needing to stop. The tone of her voice made it clear she felt I was rejecting her. I didn’t know how to fix that.

I put some cooling balm over all the red places and she fell asleep while I was working. Good. She needed to rest. I covered her with a blanket, more for the sense of security that blankets imparted rather than to keep her warm.

She’d cried far more during that scene than I’d expected. Something deep inside her had opened up and come to the fore.

Why don’t you want me? The question echoed around my mind. If I wasn’t mistaken, my cool-as-a-cucumber Federal agent had some serious abandonment issues.

I guess it figured. I didn’t have to be a Sheriff to know anyone avoiding Christmas had to have some kind of baggage.

But we needed a talk when she woke up. I had to know how bad this was, and whether there was anything I could do to help.

When Mariella awoke, I was planning to talk to her but the doorbell rang.

“Shit! Where are my clothes?” she asked.

“Just stay out of sight, no one’s gonna search the house.”

I went to the hallway and opened the front door. Mr. and Mrs. Green were standing on the step. Mrs. Green held a dish of something.

“Is everything all right?” I asked.

“We thought you shouldn’t spend Christmas alone, Sheriff,” Mr. Green said.

“And we brought you something for tomorrow,” Mrs. Green added, holding out the dish. “It’s a pie.”

I took it from her and sniffed the top of the dish.

“Mmm, smells great! And I really appreciate the offer, but I’m sure you’ve got your hands full with Jimmy’s grandparents.”

The Greens exchanged a confused look. “Grandparents? My folks are in Alaska and they never leave, and his other grandparents died years ago!” Mrs. Green said.

“But one of the kids at the high school said Jimmy got a ride home with his grandpa the day before he went to the party.” This didn’t make any sense.

“They must have been mistaken, Bob,” Mr. Green said.

“Huh. Listen, I’d love to come for food, but I’ve already got company and we have food in the oven.” The food was a lie.

  The Greens nodded.

“Okay, well give us a call if you change your mind,” Mrs. Green said, giving me a strange look. I wasn’t entirely sure she believed I had company.

“Sheriff, you’re missing the TV programme!” Mariella called through from the living room. I thanked my lucky stars. I shrugged and held up my hands.

“I’m needed here. Sorry, folks. You best eat some of that turkey, for me,” I said. They said their goodbyes then left. I closed the door and went to find Mariella.

“Sorry, I didn’t want to interfere, but it sounded like they weren’t going to take no for an answer,” she explained.

  I nodded.

“You probably did the right thing. Anyway, we might have a new lead on this case. Did you hear? Jimmy’s only got one set of grandparents, and they’re in Alaska. So there’s no way his grandpa picked him up from school last week.”

Mariella waved her hands quickly while she pulled her words together. “I think we just answered blond or gray! He’s gray! We’re looking for an older man!”

“Blond or... on the videotape, you mean? Yeah, you’re right. We can start putting a description together. Let’s look at the tape again and review what we know.”

We spent the next half hour going back over the CCTV footage from the gas station, until we’d got a pretty solid description.

“So we’re looking for a white male suspect, aged over sixty, with short gray hair, wearing a Hawaiian shirt and jeans.” Mariella frowned after she read it out. “That could be so many people.”

“When the analysts get back to us about the video footage from the party, we might have a better idea about who it might have been,” I said.

“An older man would stand out at that party, all those van-dwellers are in their thirties at the oldest.”

That gave me an idea about where we would find our perp. “I bet it’s one of the snowbirds. They’re parked up on the outskirts of town in a congregation right by the younger folks living in their vans.”

Mariella nodded excitedly. “Yeah! That would make so much sense! I’ve been following these cases across the country like the guy I’m chasing was on a really long road trip!”

“Trouble is, there’s about twenty of them, and only one of them sold Jimmy and Becca those drugs.”

“As soon as the analysts get back to me, we’ll know for sure,” Mariella said. “I hate being so close to cracking the case. It feels like we’re almost done, but this is when everything could fall apart and the guy could just disappear before we catch him.”

“Then let’s take your mind off it. After all, it’s a day off. We should be eating and making merry.”

  “Ugh. Fuck Christmas.”

I sighed. “I know why I hate this time of year, but I think you need to get out some of your feelings on the matter.”

  She nodded.

“We were never really a proper family. My mom’s love was conditional on doing whatever she wanted. This time. And she always wanted ridiculous things that were unattainable. When I didn’t meet her high expectations... she didn’t let me forget it. Christmas was always the culmination of all the year’s ways I’d disappointed her.”

  “And your dad?”

“His only input was to tell me to respect my mother, do what she said, look at everything from her point of view. It was always all about her. Then one year I had to work over Christmas. It was wonderful. So I haven’t gone home since.”

“Your family abandoned you.” It made perfect sense.

“I guess I abandoned them,” she corrected. Didn’t she understand what they’d done?

“Naw. They showed up in your life, but they weren’t there for you, weren’t supporting you, so they abandoned you. You’re just pulling the plug on having to see the shitshow every year.”

She processed this for a minute, then looked up at me.

  “You think?”

I nodded. I’d watched plenty of kids grow into adults in this town. Some parents raised kids differently to others, and it showed when those children grew up.

“C’mon. You were going to cook lunch. It’s a little late for it, but after we’ve eaten, I want to take you upstairs and finish what we started in the yard. How’s your butt feeling?”

She grimaced. “Sore as all hell.”

I smirked. “Then it’s gonna feel worse when I pound you into the bed upstairs later.”

Her mouth fell open and I laughed as we went to the kitchen to fix lunch.

  Chapter 12

  Mariella

Everywhere that the birch twigs had landed, I felt sore, like I’d rolled on a porcupine. Standing up to cook was comfortable, but only because Bob wouldn’t allow me to put my panties back on. He’d pocketed them earlier and I’d never seen them again.

It was almost like he had plans for them.

After lunch, he took me upstairs to his room.

“Kneel on the bed,” he ordered.

“Yes, sir.” We were back to being dom and sub. It amazed me how easily we slipped into and out of the roles at the right moments, like we were both attuned
to each other’s state of mind or something.

I climbed up onto the springy mattress and moved into a kneeling position. Back straight, ankles under butt, knees slightly parted, palms facing upwards.

“Good girl.” He walked around in front of me and seized a big handful of my hair, pulling me upwards off the bed a little. “You’re gonna suck my cock, real nice.”

“Yes, sir.” I opened my mouth and waited. He unzipped his pants and I finally saw it. His cock was huge. I almost fell off the bed in surprise. I’d known it was girthy, of course, from last night, but I’d had no idea quite how long it was. If I’d held it in both fists at the same time, at least a couple more inches would have been poking out.

My mouth watered a little as I stared at it.

A tiny bead of liquid was forming on his tip already. Oh, God, I wanted to lick that, and taste him.

He moved forward, still controlling me with his fist in my hair, and pulled me onto his cock. It slid into my mouth and I moaned with pleasure as my tongue tasted the musky, masculine flavor of him, mixed with the salty precum that had been forming at his slit.

He went straight to the back of my throat. If I’d been in control, I’d have played with the head for a little while before taking him deeper, but he had other ideas. I had no choice. I opened my throat for him. He thrust in so far, his fat cock jammed past my gag reflex. I swallowed to get my body to accept him. I felt so comforted, sucking on his cock.

I squeezed my lips hard around his shaft. He began to move in and out, never letting me control the movements. I was only along for the ride, he was using me, and I loved it. His cock was so hard against my soft lips. I couldn’t wait to find out what he’d feel like in my pussy.

He fucked me hard, occasionally stopping to let me catch my breath because he was far too big for me to even breathe through my nose. My clit throbbed with need. I loved serving him like this.

“That’s it, sweetheart, suck my dick,” Bob said. His abs tensed as he thrust into me, and my eyes got a close-up of the way he moved, like a lion, his muscles bunching beneath the flesh, belying so much raw power it was hard to imagine he mostly had a desk job.

He increased his speed, and I sucked harder, trying to keep up, but when I thought he was going to come down my throat, he pulled out and released my hair.

“Get on all fours,” he said in a strangled voice.

I obeyed straight away, and he got up behind me, slamming his cock deep into my wet pussy. I groaned as he ground against my G-spot. His cock stretched me in every direction, and bottomed out when he went in to the hilt. I couldn’t keep from moaning.

He seized my hips and took me roughly, one of his fat fingers stroking my clit while he pounded my pussy.

“You’re mine, from now on,” he murmured. “As soon as I fill you with my cum, you ain’t allowed to let any other guy fuck you. Understand?”

“Y-yes, sir.” His statement took me by surprise, but I understood that if I wasn’t happy with it, this was the time to say something. And when I thought about it, I knew I quite liked the idea of being his.

A spasm tore through my body and I knew I was close to coming. He ground against me, igniting the pain from the birching, while his finger kept stroking my clit and his cock banged me senseless.

It all pushed me over the edge and I fell apart, writhing and screaming on his cock, my muscles tensing and stretching as I came around him. Intense tingles fizzed through every nerve ending in my body and I lost all sense of time, as it seemed to go on forever.

In the middle of it all, Bob stiffened, and I felt his hot cum shoot deep into my pussy, marking me as his. There was no going back. I didn’t want to.

The next day, we had to get back to work. We arrived at the Sheriff’s office together and Mike raised a brow but he said nothing. A courier brought a package addressed to Agent Frost. I was sure it was something to do with that footage we sent off for analysis, and waiting for her to open it was difficult.

“It’s a report, along with a USB drive,” she said, pulling it out of the box.

“What’s it say?” She was killing me, here.

“Analysis has found no evidence of direct dealing, and cannot be used as evidence against a suspect, however, in the analyst’s opinion, the enclosed clips of footage contain discrepancies which may involve exchanges.”

“Let’s take a look.” The computer system in the Sheriff’s office was ancient and slow. We were long-overdue an upgrade. Once my machine had booted up, Mariella plugged in the USB drive and we looked at the files. There were a handful of video clips.

“These must be pretty short,” Mariella commented. I frowned and glanced at her in surprise.

  “How can you tell?”

“The file sizes.” She clicked on the first one and we watched it through.

“What are we looking for?” I asked.

  “No idea.”

After watching three of the clips, the analyst’s remarks became apparent.

“Look. In the background,” Mariella said. “It’s our gray-haired guy.”

I looked. And shook my head.

“Naw. That’s just Frank. He’s an old curmudgeon who seems to take far too much interest in what the younger folks are doing.”

“Or is that a ruse?” she asked.

I nodded thoughtfully. “Let’s go pay him a visit.”

If Frank was behind all our troubles, he was dangerous.

“Better take backup. And vests.” I waved Mike and Sean over.

  “Boss?” Mike asked.

“We might have a situation with the snowbirds. I need you two in another car waiting in the rest stop near where all the RVs are parked. Be sure you’re protected. One of them might be a very dangerous drug dealer and we don’t know if any of the others are involved.”

“Shall I call the FBI to send backup?” Mariella asked.

I wanted to say we could handle it, but there were four of us and this was a complicated operation that had eluded law enforcement officials across the country. Part of my job was keeping my men safe and not letting criminals get away.

“Yeah. Call them. But I’m not waiting for them to swoop in.”

“Understood.” She’d jumped back into work mode. She made a call from her cellphone and I went to the equipment cupboard to get bulletproof vests.

We had driven to the RV park in silence. The atmosphere in the car was heavy with tension. I was musing on the best way to get a confession out of the perp. Bob... well, who knew what Bob was thinking? I wasn’t inside his head.

We parked outside an especially nice RV. It had some fake grass laid outside and lawn furniture. It was clean and tidy. The sort of place I dreamed of getting when I retired. Something to travel the States in style. It certainly didn’t look cheap or run-down.

Bob gave me a look that clearly said can you believe this is our suspect? And I raised my brows and nodded; it baffled me, too. How did a retiree snowbird get caught up in an operation like this?

Bob knocked on the door. Butterflies in my stomach tried to make me show fear, but I pushed them down. This wasn’t a situation for nerves.

An older man opened the door. He had gray hair in a style that I’d seen on camera footage and he was clean-shaven. He wore a wooly sweater and stone-colored casual pants over some cozy looking slippers. He could have been someone’s grandfather. He probably was.

“Sheriff! You here about those kids in the vans?” The old man gave us a friendly grin, and I found it difficult to imagine him harming anyone.

“Somethin’ like that. Could I come inside? I wouldn’t want to talk in the open about this case.” Bob’s easygoing manner made me relax a little. He sold the idea that this was just a friendly chit-chat between responsible adults about those pesky kids.

The distant whir of a helicopter reminded me that the FBI were closing in on the site. If we could get a confession b
efore the suspect felt threatened, this whole case would be so much easier to send to the District Attorney.

“Sure.” He held the door open and stood aside so we could board the RV.

I half-expected us to find a working meth lab inside, or something, but it was just a regular RV. The upholstery was a little dated, but it was clean and tidy. Freshly washed dishes were stacked beside the sink and the smell of baking bread permeated the space.

I suddenly felt very uncertain about whether we had found our criminal or not. I looked to Bob. His expression gave away nothing.

“Who’s this pretty little thing?” Frank asked, nodding toward me.

“Agent Mariella Frost of the FBI,” I replied, not taking the bait.

He raised his brows and let out a low whistle.

  “Somethin’ serious goin’ on, Sheriff?”

“It is, Frank. There’s been a couple of cases of kids ending up in comas after they took some drugs.”

I studied the old man’s expression. It became fixed. The helicopter got louder overhead. I hoped it had an infra-red camera and could identify where the drugs were being produced.

“I’m sorry to hear that,” he said. “They’ll be in my thoughts and prayers.”

“Frank, I’m gonna cut to the chase. We’ve got some pretty good evidence that the drugs came from someone here. We have evidence putting you at the scene of both crimes. We have enough to bring you in. But if you help us get everyone involved, we can probably convince the DA to cut you a good deal.”

“Can’t help you, Sheriff. And you can’t make anything stick.” All the same, he’d started to sweat.

Bob sighed. “All right. Frank Brown, I’m arresting you for supplying illegal drugs to minors. You have the right to remain silent...”

“You can’t search my place without a warrant!” he declared, as Bob was cuffing him.

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes.

We had Frank in the jail at the Sheriff’s office. Mariella and I were trying to question him, but he wasn’t talking.
