Rise of the Rain Queen Page 21

by Fiona Zedde

  Yes. Just like that.

She dragged her thumb across Duni’s mouth, then pushed inside, bucking her hips when the hot mouth closed around it and sucked. Her mind scattered. She was simply feeling. No more thoughts. No reason. And she was everywhere.

Rain began falling inside the bedroom. Water dripped through the ceiling and fell over Nyandoro’s shoulders in warm strokes, splashed down her back and sides to fall onto Duni. Nyandoro was in every drop.

Rain slid down Duni’s forehead, her cheeks, her lips, and her tongue flicked out to lick the raindrops before they fell into her mouth. She drank the rain down like she was desperate for it. And Nyandoro felt each desirous flutter and swipe of her tongue.

“So good…oh!” Duni writhed under the rain.

Lust-drunk, Nyandoro felt herself still feasting between Duni’s legs, still fucking her with three fingers, tireless and strong. But she was also sucking on her nipples, rolling the hard peaks, one after another, around on her tongue. And she was falling in a thousand pieces all over Duni’s warm body. She did all these things at the same time, her body split to savor each experience, the fuck, the lick, the suck, the moaning welcome of Duni’s mouth on her. The pleasure from it rushed through Nyandoro’s body like the most intoxicating and sweetest of wines.

Crouched over Duni, she gasped at the unexpected feel of a tongue on her quim.

Sh… It’s all right. I’ll take care of you the way you take care of her.

It all sounded so reasonable, so right, that she pushed back into the firm tongue licking her open from behind, then sliding into her, filling and thrusting into her body, full and gorgeous, making her moan against Duni’s skin. The tongue fucked and flicked and stroked just as she did all those same things to Duni. They gasped and moaned together, the sounds of their sex a loud and wet chorus rising higher and higher.

Duni bucked and scratched Nyandoro’s shoulders, crying out her name. “I love you!” she gasped. “I love you so much…”

Then they were crashing into completion together with a force powerful enough to shake the whole room. Lightning whitened the sky outside the window as the sound of the hectic pulse-beat drumming in Nyandoro’s ears slowly died away. She came back to herself sprawled on her back with Duni’s sweat-damp face pressed into her throat. Their breaths were loud and fast in the room.

“No wonder you can’t get enough of her.”

Nyandoro startled at the sound of Yemaya’s voice, nearly jerking upright in the bed. But she stopped herself just in time, curving a protective arm around Duni instead and pulling her closer. The Orisha sat cross-legged just behind Duni and watched them both with a satisfied smile.

Duni seemed unaware of Yemaya’s presence. She clung to Nyandoro and pressed lazy, open mouthed kisses along her neck and throat. “I love you,” she whispered, her voice growing heavy with coming sleep.

Yemaya leaned closer, bringing her sea-salt scent with her, and brushed fingers along Duni’s cheek. “She is good for you.”

Duni made a soft noise and snuggled deeper into Nyandoro’s throat, her eyes already closed. Contentment radiated from every part of her.

“I won’t let her go again,” Nyandoro said quietly. “I can’t.”

“As long as you want her by your side, she will be by your side.”

Did that mean as long as they both lived? Nyandoro tightened her hand on Duni’s shoulder and willed Yemaya to understand. Was it truly that simple? Even knowing what the Rain Queens before her knew—that love lasted and that it was possible to keep long-lived promises—she still had her doubts. The carnage and losses of her young life only made her brace herself for more.

Without appearing to move, Yemaya was even closer than before, white braids rippling on her shoulders as if caught in an ocean current, her eyes clear and dark. She curled her fingers around Nyandoro’s hand resting on Duni’s shoulder. “It is that simple.”

  And so, it was.
