The love of my life leaned over to lay a soft, cold kiss on my cheek. She stood and headed inside. “I’ll heat that stew up you made earlier and whip up some fry bread.” Kara paused at the doorway, gracing me with a mischievous grin. “But I’m coming with you, once we get them settled.”

  I returned her smile, my heart swelling. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

  This concludes the Scratch Sullivan saga.
