"No, no, it can't be true," Mistress Mercy looked at the name on the page. A shiver ran through her.

She read it out once again.

"Domonos Silaz, from the First Realm. Recruited by Elder Hui at the city Chonglu at the Annual Beast Mountain Trial. Reached the Third Realm. Found to be stealing from other Willful Institute students."

Mercy remembered the young man she had whipped after her competition with the Stone Spear Sect. Taking out all her anger on that young man. His face had always been bruised or cut.

  "It couldn't be."

She looked at the information again.

  "Could it?"

She placed the page on the table. Unknown and unseen one of the three answering statues within Vuzgal’s underground that read out everything that touched any Vizgal surface, with a priority on Anything around the Willful Institute representatives.

  Chapter: Across realms, across worlds

"You miss him don't you?" Fred said as he sat down next to Racquel.

"I do," Racquel said. "Though I want to explore as well."

Her vertical slit eyes reflected the turquoise blue sea.

Fred took in a deep breath, watching the boats that entered the port city below.

The waters boiled over as a beast as large as a whale charged a ship getting close to the shore.

A formation activated, wind cut through the ferocious beast, its blood stained the water.

The ship passed without sparing a second glance.

Comparing it against the whale sized beast the ship was the size of twenty whales from tail to mouth long and five wide.

It wasn't a ship but a mobile city.

"Well you have to pick one," Fred said. His hand turned into tree limbs scratching the back of his head.

"There are so many wonders in the Eighth Realm, even demi-humans from the Fourth Realm seem boring."

A part of the port-city rose up glowing with runes.

It floated up and wind mages activated their grand magic. The entire floating city picked up speed.

Smaller air ships weaved across the sky, landing at the port city or heading off to other locations.

"I wonder if we saw all of this before we were locked inside the dungeon if we would have been able to last for so long," Fred waved his hands, it retracted into a human hand.

"I wonder how the Alvans, how Erik and Rugrat have been."

"Do you think that Rugrat could win in a fight?"

"You have spent too much time inside the arenas. You're getting quite the reputation for yourself. Does it matter if he can win against you in a fight?"

Racquel's eyes moved side to side.

"You're looking for an excuse to go and see him. We owe them a great debt, while there are many grand things in the higher realms, one needs to warn them about the truth. About the Empire, how the Ten Realms was created, about the Dungeon lords." Fred's expression turned serious.

Ships as large as towers that crossed the waters and the skies continued on their journeys.

Even this small forest is only a small park here.

Fred looked around at the city that spread all around, the distant mountains that had been taken over by the smiths. The rolling fields and layered growing houses that the Alchemists worked in. The grand towers that reached into the sky, surrounded by flying devices as formation masters claimed this technological marvel.

Associations had sub-cities within the sprawling metropolis that covered the land, weaving between the mountains. Sects claimed entire ranges as their own. Islands created by the inhabitants dotted the sea, harvesting beasts or resources deep under the sea.

Fred's eyes fell on the simple towers that dotted the land, the buildings were ancient, standing for countless centuries. Around them the land had been cleared away with lines of people waiting to enter.

"I never imagined that it would look like this," Racquel said.

"There are still many mysteries in the Ten Realms."

"Momma Rodriguez, did you hear about the fighting competition?" A large man covered in scars and with large bulging muscles said as he entered a simple restaurant.

"You just walked into my restaurant and you are already yelling!" A woman's voice came from the kitchen in the back of the restaurant.

"Sorry, Momma Rodriguez!" The large man cowered slightly as if he was about to get hit.

"Good that you are learning some manners. Haven't you had more girls talk to you now that you don't have those piercings?"

The man's face turned red as his companions looked at him with raised eyebrows.

"I came with some guests!" He pleaded.

The door opened and people might think that a dragon would walk out from the kitchen by the way the man was reacting.

A smaller lady walked out with a wooden spoon.

"Ledell, why are you so scared?" One of the people in the group asked in a low voice.

Ledell stood taller as if defending the woman who he had been scared of just moments before.

"Momma Rodriguez is a fierce lady, don't cross her," He stared into all of their eyes as they were more confused than before.

"I hope that you are all hungry! I have been working on tacos, though I'm not sure if you'll be able to handle my hot sauce!" She gave them a kind smile and patted Ledell's arm, she didn't even reach his shoulders but somehow she was even more intimidating.

There was a sadness in her eyes that disappeared as soon as it had appeared.

"Come on, grab a seat. Lusia, five iced teas!" Momma Rodriguez said and headed into the back of the restaurant.

"Why didn’t you join in on the Vuzgal fighting competition?" One of Ledell's friends asked him.

"Join in? I think that I would just be asking to be humiliated. They were the elites from the Fighter's Association and our Adventurer's Guild. I don’t have even half the power of the branch leaders and their enforcers."

"Did you get to see the mysterious lords?”

“I saw them through screens, they were wearing masks and cloaks so it was hard to see what they looked like.

“I wonder what they're like," A lady in a blue robe said as Lusia served them iced tea.

"Five Tacos, side of hot sauce," Lidell asked.

  "Coming right up."

"I can take it," A woman wearing a purple shirt said.

"I'm sure you can, just test it out first," Ledell said.

"No one sees them since they defended Vuzgal and the associations. There are plenty of rumors that say they are fighters and crafters. That they are stronger than anyone of their level," A man in a green shirt leaned forward, excited to share his gossip.

"What do you know?" Ledell snorted.

"I know that there are two leaders of the Vuzgal military, that one of the forces marched off somewhere and they have not been heard of since. At the same time there are people that are trained up by the Dragon Regiment disappear through the totem."

"What are you saying?" Ledell asked with a frown.

More people entered the store and quickly took a seat, Luisa served them.

"Wow!" The woman wearing the blue dress looked at her iced tea in surprise, making the oth
ers look over.

She looked at her iced tea as if it was the nectar of life.

"Right?" Ledell said with a grin.

The others drank from their drinks, showing surprised and pleased expressions.

  "Luisa, another round!" Ledell said.

"Coming right up!" She yelled back as more people were coming in for the evening rush, it was a modest shop but there was always a line that ran down the street when dinner time came around.

“I’m saying that the whole of Vuzgal is mysterious. Half the army is who knows where, crafters popping out of nowhere, sworn to Vuzgal. People say that they are a force from the association, that the whole attack was staged on the associations to showcase their power!”

“They wiped out three sects completely and auctioned off their cities,” They lady in blue shivered.

“Vuzgal is interesting,” Ledell thought of the strange buildings, all of the crafters, and even basic facilities. “I don’t know another place like it in the Fourth Realm.”

The tacos arrived shortly everyone tried to pull the soft tacos together, but with their inexperience, they left food all over their plates. They didn't care for their appearances as they kept eating.

"I thought that there were only a few places in the Fourth Realm that sold actual food. “Doesn't Vuzgal have their own places that sell food?"

"Bah, the Sky Reaching Restaurants might sound impressive, but they are nothing compared to Momma Rodriguez's food!" Ledell said.

"You said that their deep fried chicken was to die for," The lady in purple said.

Ledell waved his arms, holding her mouth shut.

"Fried chicken?" A voice came from the door into the kitchen. Momma Rodriguez was standing there looking at the table.

"I spoke wrong," Ledell started, MommaRodriguez walked over, but she didn't seem to hear him as she stood at the edge of the table.

"They had fried chicken, deep fried chicken?"

"Y-yes, though it was not as good as your homemade cooking!" Ledell looked like he wanted to cry or hide in the folds of his seat.

"What is this Sky Reaching Restaurant?" Her eyes fell on the man in green.

"It showed up in the Third Realm first. They say that they are associated with the city lords."

"These city lords, what are they like?" Rodriguez asked.

"They don't show themselves, people say that they are crafters and fighters."

  "What do they look like?"

"They wear masks and they haven't been seen in public much. One is tall, the other is shorter, they both have a lot of muscle!"

"What are their names?" Rodriguez looked like she wanted to climb over the table and shake the man in green. He was starting to sweat at the look in her eyes.

"They uhh, the first one, Rick? And then I think it was a direction or something? The other one, he had a strange name, people called him Rug?"

Everyone's faces turned pale as they felt Momma Rodriguez's aura run out of control and begin fluctuating.

They all cowered back as Momma Rodriguez shook, tears running down her face.

"Is something wrong?" Ledell asked unafraid.

  "This place, where is it?"

  "Vuzgal the independent city?"

"Have you been there before?" She asked.

  "I have."

"Good, take me there," Momma Rodriguez took off her apron and tossed it into her storage ring.

"Why are we going to Vuzgal? You can't beat up the cooks for their fried chicken!" Ledell said, following her.

"I'm going to find my boys!" She yelled marching out the door as people moved out of her way.

  "Lusia, watch the shop!"
