"But I would have sex with you and bear your children no matter how you treated me. I have no choice. Why are you nice to me?"

He struggled to answer her question. "It never occurred to me not to be. All my life I've known that I wanted a woman of my own. One who could have my babies. And all my life, I've felt like it was out of my reach." He stopped walking and turned to her, cupping her face in his hands. "You're a dream come true for me. For all of us. How could we possibly mistreat you?"

Sarah struggled to find the words she needed. "But...I'm overweight, and I'm, well, I'm horny all the time. I think I'm broken."

He laughed. "Broken? You're perfect." He leaned down and whispered in her ear. "We love every inch of you, but your horniness? That's my favorite thing..."

Sarah laughed. "It doesn't bother you?"

Trystan shook his head. "Why would it? If you were trying to find other men to share your body with, then it would be one thing, but you don't do that." Of course, she would never be given the opportunity to do that, but he didn't say that. He didn't want her to think that he didn't trust her, because he did...mostly.

"Why would I?" she asked. "I have four men ready to sacrifice their bodies to my needs at any moment! And if none of them are available, I have the biggest box of sex toys known to man!"

Trystan grinned, still slightly worried. How would it be on Monday when she was home alone for the first time? Would she seek Franklin out? That was his biggest worry.

He gave her a tour of his home, pointing out the other men's houses from one of the second story windows. "That's Houston's house, there to the right. Jaron is to my left. Brice is directly across the lake."

The lake was big enough that she could barely make out the large house across the water. "I'm surprised the houses are so far apart. I thought they'd be on top of each other to make it easier for me to travel back and forth."

"With the weather being controlled here, we weren't worried about it. We would never have done it this way if we'd worried about a rain storm or a blizzard, but those things won't touch us inside our dome." He slipped an arm around her waist, kissing the top of her head. "Does it bother you?"

"No, it doesn't. I hope it doesn't mean no more group lovemaking, but it will be nice to have some private time with each of you." She turned fully into his arms. "Especially with you, Trystan. I love all four of you, of course, but you? You're special to me."

He smiled, resting his cheek atop her head. Her words warmed his heart, but did she really mean them? He would wait to see what happened when she was alone.

  Chapter Fifteen

The weekend flew by for Sarah. She spent time at each of the men's houses, helping them settle in and making love. She learned to operate the travel pod and knew she'd be taking it for rides around the lake while they were at work. She was almost looking forward to the men going off to work, so she could spend time exploring the entire area.

She slept later than she'd planned on Monday, a bit sore from her weekend's activities but excited to be able to explore on her own. Her clothes were set to be delivered after the men were home that evening, but she didn't care. Her shorts and top were good enough for riding the travel pod.

She took a quick bath, made herself some breakfast, and found she loved to cook in the state of the art kitchen. It was different than cooking at home, but so much more fun.

After breakfast, she went straight to her travel pod. It reminded her of one of the ancient snowmobiles they'd had in her community. It looked similar, except the bottom was more of a bowl shape. It only touched the ground when parked. The rest of the time, it was in the air.

Sarah flew around the perimeter of the dome, exploring every inch of the property. Trystan had told her there were nine square miles encompassed by the dome, and she was thrilled to have every single speck of it.

She was so engrossed in her explorations that she forgot to eat lunch. Instead she kept flying. It was late afternoon when a hole seemed to open in the side of the dome. She wasn't certain why, but she shrugged, determined to explore all she could.

She flew straight through the hole not noticing when the dome closed back up behind her.

The air was different outside. It didn't smell quite as fresh, and it was colder. It was April, so early spring, but in Minnesota, that meant there was still snow on the ground in places. She flew for a bit longer, before turning to go back home.

She could see the big silver dome clearly. From the inside, she couldn't tell that she was inside one. From the outside? It looked very foreign. The men had wanted to surprise her with the beauty of the community, so they'd blindfolded her on the way in, not wanting her to realize how the dome looked from the outside. At least that's what Trystan had explained to her. Now that she was on the outside, she understood.

She flew back to the same area she'd come out and waited for the hole to open back up to let her in. When it didn't happen, she felt afraid for the first time. What would she do if she couldn't get back in? She didn't have a phone she wore like the men did. How would they find her?

She got down off the travel pod, and walked to the dome, placing her hand on it. She could see where the 'door' was that should open and allow her in. Nothing happened when she touched it, though.

  "Do you need some help?"

Sarah turned, her heart in her throat. She didn't know this man. "I do. Do you know Trystan? The owner of the Minneapolis Mighties?"

He shook his head. "No, I'm afraid I don't. I know of him of course. He's one of the most powerful men in sports today."

"He's my husband. He and Brice, Jaron, and Houston, of course."

The man nodded. "I'd heard they got one of the girls from the auctions." He held his hand out. "I'm Raeden, by the way."

"I'm Sarah." She was almost afraid to shake his hand, but she couldn't be rude if she expected him to help her. "I need to get back in." She jerked her head toward the dome.

Raeden nodded, removing his phone from his wrist. "Let me see what I can do."

  *****

Trystan left work early, wanting to surprise Sarah. It was her first day home alone, and he didn't want her to get lonely. When he got there, he walked into the house, calling her name.

He received no answer. Finally, he asked the house. "Where is Sarah?"

"Sarah left hours ago. She is no longer on the premises."

"No longer on the premises? You mean she isn't in the house?"

"She is no longer on the premises. She is not within the dome."

Trystan frowned, taking the stairs two at a time until he reached the third floor. The computer room was there with all of the surveillance equipment. He sat down at the desk. "Computer, where is Sarah?"

The computer replayed in fast forward motion everything Sarah had done that day. It showed her leaving the house and zooming around the property with her travel pod. He watched with a half smile on his face as she got off and on the pod over and over as she stopped to smell a flower or touch a tree. Finally, the camera slowed. One of the emergency doors from the dome had opened.

He frowned. Why would it have opened? How did she know it was even there?

He picked up his phone and started making phone calls. They all needed to be out looking for her.

  *****

Raeden called yet another friend. "I need a number for Trystan of the Minneapolis Mighties. Do you have any idea how I can get in touch with him?"

He waited for a moment, fully aware that Sarah was getting more and more weary of waiting. "Yes, I know he's a powerful man. Of course I know his number isn't readily available. Fine." He sighed heavily, looking at Sarah. "I don't know what else to do. None of them are men who share their phone numbers. I don't know how to get in touch with them, and I certainly have no idea how to get into that dome. I've never seen anything like it."

Sarah frowned, tears springing to her eyes. Raeden had been very kind to her, but she needed to get home. Would the men think she'd left them? Would they assume she wa
s being unfaithful? "I need to get home!"

  "I know you do."

  *****

The four men each took a travel pod and left the dome from their own door. They would spread out and cover every square inch of the area surrounding the domes. If Sarah had been taken, they would find a way to get her back.

Trystan flew toward the spot where the dome had opened up for her, frightened out of his mind. What if she was hurt? He knew she was cold, as she had only been wearing her shorts and silk top when she left. That was perfectly acceptable for inside the dome, but out of it? She had to be freezing.

He found the area where he thought the mistake had occurred, and sure enough, she was standing there, right outside the dome, talking to a man he'd never seen. He wanted to scream at the man to leave his wife alone, but that would never do. He had to play it safe. He quickly called the others before setting down his travel pod behind her.

Sarah spun around and ran to him, her arms going about his waist. "Oh, Trystan! I don't know why the dome wouldn't let me back in!"

Trystan's arms went around her automatically. "Are you all right?" They'd think about the dome later. What if the man she was calmly talking to had been one to hurt her?

Sarah nodded. "Just cold. I'm not exactly dressed for a Minnesota winter." She laughed. "I'm so glad you found me." She turned and motioned Raeden over. "Raeden, this is my husband, Trystan. Trystan, Raeden found me here, and he's been trying to call you, but no one knew how to get in touch with you."

Trystan sighed, holding his hand out to shake Raeden's. "I guess it never occurred to me that she would get lost. Thanks for trying to help."

Raeden nodded. "I was happy to. If I'm ever lucky enough to have a woman to love, that's how I would want her to be treated."

  Trystan smiled. "She's pretty special."

The other men landed their travel pods, each of them hugging Sarah in turn. They made a circle around her.

"We were worried about you!" Brice told her, a frown on his face.

"You could have been kidnapped or raped or killed!" Jaron added.

"Don't ever scare us like that again!" Houston said.

Trystan just kept frowning at her.

Sarah quietly explained what had happened. "I thought it was just another part of the dome. By the time I realized it wasn't, it was too late. I couldn't get back in."

"I'm just glad you're safe," Trystan said softly.

"I'm really sorry I scared all of you," Sarah told them. "It won't happen again."

Houston frowned. "All of our cars have sensors that open the doors to the dome. We need to put a censor on your travel pod. Then we won't need to worry about this."

Sarah nodded. "I think that's a really good idea. I hope all of you know that I'd never deliberately leave. I love you all too much to want to leave you."

Jaron was the first to nod. "I know you do. I love you too, Sarah." He held his arms wide, and she ran into them.

Sarah did her best to hold back the tears. One of them loved her. That's all she cared about. Well, she wanted all of them to love her, but maybe in time...

Brice smiled at Sarah. "I love you, Sarah. I've never been so frightened in all my life as I was when you went missing."

Sarah lifted her head from Jaron's shoulder and looked at Brice. "Really?"

  He nodded. "Really."

She ran to Brice, hugging him as well. "I never thought you would love me. I thought you all just wanted me for sex."

Houston frowned at her. "How could you think that? Of course we love you. How could we not?"

She went to Houston next, clinging to him.

Trystan was silent, saying nothing to her. Sarah felt her heart fall. Didn't he love her as well?

Trystan thanked Raeden for his help, giving him his phone number. "If you ever need anything, you give me a call. I'll be there for you."

Raeden nodded before leaving. He'd rather get a promise from Trystan than three wishes from a fairy godmother any day. It never hurt to have the ear of a powerful trillionaire.

They went back into the dome with Brice leading the way. The men all went to their respective houses, and Sarah went with Trystan. Once they were inside, he turned to her, pushing her against the wall and kissing her madly.

"Don't ever scare me like that again! I couldn't bear to think I'd lost you. I've never been in love before, and now that I've found the woman who makes me happier than any other? How could I give you up?"

As soon as he mentioned he loved her as well, Sarah felt the tears begin to fall. What could be more important than Trystan's love? Than the love of all four of her husbands?

This was where she was meant to be. It seemed strange to her, given her background, but she was meant to love these four men...and spend her life with them. She would bear them children and be happy forever. They were hers, and she was theirs.

  Epilogue

Sarah sat at her computer to check her email. She had discovered just that morning that she was pregnant, and she couldn't be happier. She'd have all four of her husbands over for dinner that night so she could tell them. A baby. She was doing her share to repopulate the world.

She smiled when she saw she had an email from April, the first girl she knew who had been auctioned. April was living in Texas now, and she and their three other mutual friends who had been auctioned off were all in contact with Sarah now. It was nice to know people who had been raised as she had, but had adapted to the new way of life.

"Sarah, we're having a get-together this weekend. I do hope you'll come! I've listed the details below. We want to see you and meet your husbands. I want you to see my children. I hope we can make these parties a regular thing. I don't know about you, but I need female friends in my life! Please say you'll come! April."

Sarah quickly typed back that she'd have to talk to her husbands, but she was certain they'd agree. She couldn't wait. Her only complaint was the lack of female companionship. Now she'd have everything she wanted.

She patted her stomach. She had so much more than she ever dreamed she would.

Back in Wisconsin, a girl who had just turned eighteen, was told it was her turn. Carina was shy, painfully shy. She'd never even entertained the thought of courting one of the boys. She just couldn't. And now she was going to have to marry four men? Why would her parents do that to her? Why would they ask it of her at all?

She laid down on her bed and cried. How was she going to survive what four men would do to her? Why me, Lord? Why me?
