Cruel Boys: The Dark Bully Romance Box Set Page 44

My heart was beating a mile a minute as I crept up slowly to the door, pressing my ear against it to try to make out more of their conversation. They had stopped talking now, but I heard these weird sounds coming from behind the door. They were definitely up to something in there, and I was going to find out what.

I couldn’t poke my head up to the window at risk of being caught spying, but there were other ways to get a view inside the room. I pulled out my phone, which had been replaced with a newer one courtesy of Jeremy, and inches it up the door with the camera app open.

I slowly poked it into the window, just enough to get a picture inside of the room and hit the camera button. It made a loud camera noise, and I yanked it down. Fuck, I had forgotten to turn the sounds off. I didn’t have time to see what picture I had taken, because I heard the sounds of someone scrambling up to their feet from within the room.

I ran. I wasn’t the fastest runner in the world, as had been proven last time I got the shit kicked out of me, but this time I wasn’t going to let myself get caught. I sprinted down the hall before the door to the teacher’s office was opened and jumped down the stairs, taking them five at a time.

I spun around the corner, heading down the hall toward the front door, but dipped out into the lunchroom so nobody would see me. I could probably crawl out a window from there. I looked around frantically as I heard footsteps running down the hall. They would know that I hadn’t left the building if they looked outside. It wasn’t nearly that fast to get away on foot without being spotted.

I’m sure Daniel knew that and would be searching the rooms connected to the main hallway. I needed to get out of there, and fast. I looked around frantically, searching for the easiest way out. There were windows lining the far side of the room, so I scrambled over there with my phone clutched tightly in my hand.

I tried one of the windows, but the damn thing was painted shut. All of them were like this. Fuck, there was no other way out of here. I would have to break the windows to get out. I looked around and spotted a security camera pointed right at me. Dammit, not I was going to go to detention or get the shit kicked out of me for the world to see later.

I weighed my options, but this dirt on Daniel that might be on my phone had too much potential. I looked up at the camera and shrugged, mouthing “sorry” and picking up a chair from one of the lunch tables. I chucked that sucker straight through the window, sending glass flying everywhere. I was beginning to get good at breaking windows. I hoped this wouldn’t become a habit.

I climbed out of the window, cutting myself on the glass as I went. I was bleeding, but I didn’t care as long as Daniel didn’t catch me. He wouldn’t know that I was the one that took a picture of him and Mrs. Snow in the teacher’s office. I was free if I could just get back to my car.

I circled around the building, going the long way to throw him off my trail. I spotted Troy climbing into his car in the parking lot and shouted at him. “Wait!”

Troy turned to me, looking confused as I ran with my phone waving in the air toward him. There was blood running down my legs, which probably freaked him out. I would have to explain myself later.

“Start the car, let’s go,” I blurted when I got into his car.

“What’s going on?” Troy asked, looking at my bloody legs.

“I’ll explain on the way home. Let’s go before he catches me!” I shouted, banging on the dashboard.

Troy jumped into the car and started it, peeling out of the parking lot, leaving Greywood Academy and Daniel far behind us. I panted, trying to catch my breath. I had a silly smile plastered across my face when I turned to Troy. “I did it.”

Troy looked at my legs worried. “You did what? Can you explain to me why you’re bleeding?”

I rolled my eyes. “I jumped out a window, okay? I’m probably going to detention or that.”

“You what?! Faith, you can’t do shit like that. Jesus, you’re going to get yourself killed.”

“Oh hush,” I responded. “I got what I wanted and that’s all that matters,” I said, smiling smugly.

I opened up the photo app on my phone to take a look at the picture I had taken of Daniel and Mrs. Snow. What I saw made my jaw drop.

“What? What is it?” Troy asked, trying to peek over at my phone.

I turned it to him to display the picture I had taken. It was a photo of Mrs. Snow, looking just as happy as can be, holding Daniel’s penis in her small hand.

“Holy shit,” Daniel said, trying to swerve off the road as he looked back and forth from the street to my phone.

“Holy shit is right,” I replied. “This is going to make some serious waves at the school,” I said with a smirk.

“What are you going to do with that? I mean, Daniel plays for the team,” Troy inquired.

I smiled at him. “All I want is a little leverage.”

  The End.
