I was a bit nervous about the wedding. The wedding ceremony was going to be at Judge’s mother’s house with the reception to follow at the clubhouse. Since my children were part of the wedding party, we needed to arrive early. Kellan offered to come with us, but I told him there was no sense in him getting there early just to make me feel better. However, I was suddenly overcome with nerves when I pulled into Leigh’s driveway.
Fortunately, I didn’t have much time to worry about being nervous because Riley jumped out of the car as soon as I turned the engine off. “I want out, too!” Braxton shouted.
“Riley! Get your little butt back here right this instant,” I scolded and went around to help Braxton out of his booster seat.
“But I have to put on my princess dress and get beautiful for the wedding,” she whined.
“And we have plenty of time for that, but you know better than to jump out of a car and run off.”
“I’m sorry, Mommy, but I’m so excited,” she squealed.
By that point, she’d attracted the attention of others. “Do you need help with anything?” Leigh called from the front porch.
“No, I think we’re good,” I said and closed the car door. “But thank you for offering.”
“You’re welcome. It’s a madhouse in there, so enter at your own risk.”
“I can’t even imagine. If there’s anything I can do to help, please don’t hesitate to ask,” I offered.
She showed us to the room where we would be getting ready. Keegan, Ember, Layla, and Annabelle were already inside as were several children in various stages of dress. “Good luck,” Leigh said before she disappeared down the hall.
“I am so sorry,” Layla said with her eyes fixed on me.
“What? Why?”
“Because you can’t have any wine, and you’re going to need it.”
“That bad, huh?”
“Ignore her. She doesn’t have any kids yet,” Annabelle laughed.
“Shut it, sister dearest,” Layla joked.
After two meltdowns, snacks for everyone with teeth, and bottles for those without, it was time for the pre-ceremony pictures. Thankfully, the kids were excited about the ceremony and were full of smiles for the photographer.
“You look gorgeous,” Kellan said from behind as he slid an arm around my waist and pressed a kiss to my cheek.
“Thank you,” I replied and turned to face him. “Look at you,” I breathed and felt my body start to react. He was dressed in a pair of black slacks with a button-down shirt that appeared to be the same color as his beautiful gray eyes. “You look delicious,” I said and ran my hand over his firm chest.
His hand came up and circled my wrist to yank me closer. “Don’t, sweetness.”
I couldn’t help myself. He looked so damn good and I was ready to go like the horny, pregnant hussy I was. I licked my lips and stepped closer to press my breasts against him. “Don’t what?” I breathed.
“Coal, can you watch the kids while I show Avery where the bathroom is?” Kellan asked.
Coal smirked but nodded. “Sure, brother.”
“Thanks,” Kellan clipped and pulled me down the hall to the bathroom. Once inside he pulled me close and put my hand on his cock. “Feel what you did. Now, bend over so I can fix it.”
I groaned as I turned around and placed my hands on the counter. Kellan shoved my dress up over my hips and palmed my cheek giving it a squeeze. “This is going to be quick, sweetness.”
“Please,” I begged.
A shiver of anticipation ran down my spine when I heard his zipper. He pulled my panties to the side and plunged inside. With a firm grip on my hips, he thrust forward while pulling me back.
When a low moan escaped from me, he brought one hand up and covered my mouth. “Shhh, baby, unless you want everyone to know what we’re doing.”
Something about the thought of others knowing Kellan and I were having a quickie in the bathroom was extremely exciting for me. “You like that?” he rasped near my ear. “You want them to know you can’t wait to have my cock?”
“Kellan,” I mumbled against his hand.
“Too bad, sweetness, no one hears the sounds you make when you come but me. Now, give it to me,” he demanded, and I did. I bit down on my cheek to keep the whole house from hearing my moans of pleasure.
Kellan groaned quietly and stilled when he found his own release moments later. When he stepped back, he pulled my panties back into place and smoothed his hand over my center. “Fucking love that you’ll be full of me during the wedding ceremony.”
I gasped at his dirty words, “Kellan!”
“Don’t act like you don’t like it; I know you do,” he whispered and nipped my earlobe. “We need to get back or they really will know what we were up to.”
I was slightly uncomfortable leaving the kids with the wedding party, but the women promised to watch after them and Kellan assured me they were in good hands. We sat near the front so I could have the kids come sit with us if they started misbehaving.
I anxiously watched as the procession began. The entire time I was silently chanting “Please do it right.” Suddenly, the music cut off followed by the low rumble of pipes. Then, there was a collective gasp from the crowd that quickly turned into chuckles as Bad to the Bone began to play.
I looked down the aisle to see Braxton riding a battery-operated motorcycle toward the altar with James in a sidecar. Right behind them, Riley and Gabby were also riding battery-operated motorcycles with little Raven in a sidecar attached to Riley’s motorcycle.
When they reached the front, Braxton parked the motorcycle and helped James out. Ember went to get Raven while Riley climbed off her bike and got on the back of Gabby’s. They circled back around and came down the aisle again, this time with Riley tossing out flower petals.
“Where did they get those?” I asked and looked over to see Kellan recording the whole thing with his cell phone.
“I don’t know, but since Bronze and Batta aren’t anywhere in sight, I’m guess they had something to do with it.”
When Gabby parked the tiny motorcycle off to the side, she and Riley climbed off and walked hand-in-hand to stand with the bridesmaids.
Right on cue, the infamous song began to play and the audience stood. Ranger appeared with Reese on his arm. “Are they related?” I whispered.
“No. Reese’s father was a member of the Devil Springs Chapter before he died years ago. Ranger is the last living original member and was good friends with Tank. Since her brother is also getting married today, Ranger proudly stepped in to fill those shoes.”
Next, Phoenix appeared with Harper on his arm. “Before you ask,” Kellan whispered, “Harper’s father is also deceased. She doesn’t trust easily, but she’s always trusted Phoenix, so she asked him to walk her in place of Duke.”
It amazed me how they acted as a family even though they weren’t all blood related. I’d never witnessed anything close to the love and loyalty they shared.
I was pulled from my thoughts when River came down the aisle on her brother’s arm. River’s genuine happiness radiated from her as she walked toward the man she loved.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from a biker wedding featuring three separate couples, but surprisingly, it was very much like a traditional wedding and each couple had their own moment to shine.
After the ceremony, they had a huge reception at the Devil Springs clubhouse. Once again, my family and I were welcomed with open arms. Everyone treated us like we were and always had been a member of their family.

After the wedding, life settled down into more of a stable routine for a few weeks. Coal and I finally moved into the rental house. Since it was a three-bedroom, we asked Grant if he wanted to move in with us, but he opted to keep his apartment. As soon as he recovered from his injuries, he was back at the gym working out with us like nothing ever happened. Since he spent so much time there, Copper had us hire him to help run the
gym.
When I wasn’t at work or at the clubhouse, I spent most of my time at Avery’s house. Our relationship was slowly growing stronger. I went to doctor’s appointments with her. Riley and Braxton started calling me Kellan. We took the kids trick-or-treating together. I even ate Thanksgiving dinner with her and her family. For the first time in a long time, I was happy, and I think she was, too.
As I was walking back to the office to take my lunch break, my phone buzzed in my pocket. I smiled when I saw Avery’s name on the screen.
“Hey, lil’ mama.”
“Kellan,” she sniffed. “I’m at the hospital with my mom. Is there any way you can pick up Riley and Braxton from school and bring them here?”
“Yeah, I can get them, but what’s going on with your mom?” I asked and grabbed my keys to head to the hospital.
“Someone ran over her,” she cried.
“What?”
“That’s what they told me. They said she was walking to her car in the grocery store parking lot and someone ran over her,” she hiccupped. “I don’t know anything yet. They won’t let me go back to see her.”
“Sit down and take some deep breaths. I’m on my way. Have you called your dad?”
“I haven’t, but someone from the hospital did. He’s the one who told them to call me. He’s on his way from Croftridge now.”
“Good. I’ll be there in ten minutes,” I said and disconnected the call.
I didn’t bother to slow my pace as I passed the front desk. “Gotta go. Family emergency.”
When I arrived at the hospital, I found Avery sitting in a chair in the corner of the waiting room looking scared to death. She threw herself into my arms the moment she saw me coming toward her. “Oh, Kellan, they won’t tell me anything,” she sobbed.
“They probably don’t know anything yet, sweetness,” I soothed.
“Why can’t I see her?”
“Because they’re working on her. Let me see if I can get ahold of River.” I didn’t want to wake her in case she worked the night before, so I sent her a text message and asked her to call me if she was awake. Thankfully, my phone rang seconds later.
“Hey, Savior. Is everything okay?”
“Not really. Avery’s mother was hit by a car earlier today and is in the ER. They won’t let Avery go back to see her and she’s kind of freaking out. I didn’t know if there was something you could tell her that might help.”
“Sure, let me talk to her.”
“Here, baby,” I said and handed her the phone. “It’s River.”
She reluctantly took the phone from me and spoke to River for several minutes. “What did she say?” I asked when she handed my phone back.
“She said this is considered a crush injury, and it’s actually a good thing they aren’t letting me go back because it means they’re still working on her and getting her stabilized. She did say it could be anywhere from thirty minutes to a few hours before they let anyone see her.”
“I’m sorry, sweetness,” I said and wrapped my arm around her shoulders.
We sat quietly waiting for any news about her mother. Finally, a nurse came out and told Avery she could come back and wait with Claire until they took her to surgery. “You go on back. I’m going to go swap my bike for my truck and go pick up Riley and Braxton,” I said and dropped a kiss on her forehead.
“Thank you. I called the school before you got here and let them know you would be picking them up. Cars will already be lined up when you get there. Just get in one of the lines and have your driver’s license handy to show whichever teacher is working the car line,” she said quickly. “Oh, you need to get the booster seat from my car,” she added and handed me her car keys.
“I got this. You go be with your mom,” I said and gently nudged her toward the waiting nurse.
Avery wasn’t kidding about the car line. Cars were lined up at least five hundred feet down the street even though I was twenty minutes early. I put the truck in park and pulled out my phone to let Coal and Copper know what was going on while I waited.
Finally, the doors opened and children poured from the school. Moving at a snail’s pace, I gradually rolled closer to the front of the school. As expected, a woman with a clipboard walked up to my window and asked who I was picking up.
“Riley and Braxton Parker. Avery said she called the office to let them know,” I said as I handed her my driver’s license.
She took it and wrote something on her clipboard. “She did,” she said and handed my license back. “Once the children are in your vehicle, please wait until the teacher signals you to move forward. Then, you will pull forward and merge into one line with the other cars.”
When I reached the front of the line, a teacher opened the back door and helped Riley, then Braxton into the back seat of my truck. “Kellan!” Riley squealed. “You surprised us!”
I smiled at her enthusiasm. “I sure did. Sit down and get buckled so we can get moving,” I said and glanced over my shoulder to see Braxton watching me carefully. “Hey, Brax.”
“Where’s Mommy?” he asked. The kid didn’t miss a thing.
“She’s with Nana. We’re going to see them right now. Is everyone buckled in?”
“I am!” Riley yelled. “And so is Braxton!”
With that, I pulled out onto the road and pointed my truck in the direction of the hospital. “Did either one of you learn anything fun today?”
“I did!” Riley said excitedly and raised her hand in the air. “We learned that a starfish’s mouth is on the bottom. Isn’t that gross?”
“Why is that gross?”
“Because mermaids put them on their boobies!” she said in horror.
I couldn’t hold in my laughter. “What are they teaching you at that school?”
“They teach us all kinds of—”
Riley’s words morphed into an ear-piercing scream as the world around us flipped on its axis and then everything faded to black.

I could hear screaming, or maybe it was crying. Possibly both. “Kellan!! Help me! Kellan!!”
Who was screaming? “I’m stuck! My arm hurts!”
Was that Riley? My eyes flew open at the same time I yelled, “Riley?”
“Kellan! Get me out!!” she cried.
I tried to turn to so I could see what was wrong with her, but I couldn’t move. I tried to turn the other way and quickly realized something was very wrong when I looked out the truck window. “What the hell?” I said to myself. The entire view was off, almost like the world was turned on its side. I suddenly realized the pressure on my chest was from the seat belt holding me in place as gravity tried to pull me forward. Fuck, the truck was somehow on its nose.
“Hey! Can anybody hear me?” a man yelled and an overwhelming sense of unwelcomed déjà vu washed over me.
“Yes! I can hear you,” I yelled back.
“Try not to move! We’ve got help on the way!”
“I’ve got young kids in here!” I said and realized I hadn’t heard a sound from Braxton. I forced myself to turn so I could see him. His little body was being held in place by the seat belt, but I couldn’t see his face. “Braxton! You okay, little man?”
Nothing.
“Riley, is Braxton okay?”
“I don’t know!” she cried. “Braxie-boo, please wake up.”
Fuck.
Fuck.
Fuck.
I felt around for my phone and wanted to cheer when I found it in my pocket. I managed to get it out and called Copper.
“Copper Black,” he answered.
“Need help, Prez. Had a wreck. Trapped in the truck with Avery’s kids.”
“Be right there,” he clipped and I heard him yell for Spazz before the call ended.
“Good,” I thought. I knew Spazz would be able to ping my location on the way.
“Riley, sweetheart, are you hurt?” I asked and prayed she didn’t have any injuries.
“My arm
hurts and I’m scared,” she cried.
“I know, princess. Try not to move, okay? Help is on the way; we just have to be patient and wait for them to get here,” I said and hoped like hell I wasn’t lying to her.
I turned my body as far as I could and tried to reach Braxton but only the tips of my fingers grazed his shirt. “Braxton!” I bellowed. “Wake up! Please, wake up,” I begged.
Nothing.
Not a fucking peep. I couldn’t even tell if he was breathing.
And that’s when I broke. I screamed in anger and frustration. “Why?” I bellowed. “Why is this happening again?”
I slammed my head back against the headrest as the tears ran down my face. “Why?” I cried. “I cannot go through this again.” And then, tiny little fingers sifted through my hair.
“I love you, Kellan.”
Fuck me. I cried even harder. “I love you, too, baby girl. I love your mother and I love Braxton, too.”
The truck shifted and metal groaned causing Riley to shriek. “What was that?”
“Savior!”
I breathed a sigh of relief when I heard Copper’s voice. “Thank fuck, Prez.”
“Are you all secured?”
“We’re still strapped in by the seat belts,” I answered.
“Good. Don’t move. We’re using a winch to stabilize the truck. Then, we’ll get you out. Is anyone seriously injured that you know of?”
“You need to get Braxton out first,” was all I said. I didn’t want to upset Riley any more than she already was, but he needed to know things were not okay inside the truck.
“Understood. How’s Riley?”
“My arm hurts really bad and I can’t move, Mr. President.”
“We’re going to fix that for you in just a few minutes, sweetheart. How’s Kellan doing?” he asked.
“He’s hurt. He was crying and his hair is all sticky and red,” she said.
I reached up and felt all around my head. When I brought my hand back in front of my face, sure enough, it was covered in blood.
