“Now, if you know anyone lookin’ to become a sweet butt here for you single guys, we’ll start bringin’ them in soon. I’m about to go get rid of the rest of the trash. The only thing I ask is they understand now they’ll be answerin’ to my ol’ lady. She don’t take any shit and will have no problem beatin’ their ass if they step over the line and don’t pull their weight around here. We’ll take a few days to let the dust settle and I’ll figure out your new positions in the club. For now, we’re all gonna be bustin’ ass and workin’ together. I’m your equal as we begin to rebuild,” I say, banging the gavel on the table as we all stand, cheer, and file out of the room.
The girls are all sitting in the common room. I’m not gonna hide what I’m about to do from the guys choosing to follow my lead. They deserve to know what I’m going to do. My dad hid a ton of shit and I’m not him. So, I stand in front of the women who are strung out and can barely stand on their own two feet. Fuck!
“You’re all out. Get the fuck outta the clubhouse and don’t come back. The drugs and partyin’ you’re used to stops now,” I yell, scaring half of them.
“You don’t control us,” one of the women says as the clubhouse door opens.
Turning my attention there, I see my woman. The sun shining from behind her makes her look like an angel. Based on the look covering her face, she’s about to show how bad ass she truly is.
“Bitch, what did you just say to my husband?” Tonya questions, walking straight to the skank.
“He don’t control anyone here. Slammer’s taking over,” she says, not backing down.
Tonya starts laughing her ass off. The men behind me do too.
“Do you see his fuckin’ ass here?” Tonya yells, getting in her face. “No. Blood is the new President and he told you to get the fuck out. I’m the Queen of this MC and you’ll listen to me because my man won’t lay hands on your nasty ass.”
The rest of the women scatter from the clubhouse, all except for the one running her mouth. Tonya stops listening to her. Instead, she rears her arm back and lets loose. The bitch falls to the floor in a passed-out heap. One punch from my woman and the skank is out cold. I’ve never been prouder of Tonya. Well, other than giving birth to our sons.
“One or two of you get this bitch outta here. I don’t care where she goes, just make it far enough away she won’t get back here,” I order. “Today is the first day of the rest of this club. Let’s make it a place we’re all proud of.”
Cheering and clapping sounds from the few of us still standing here. Looking at my woman as she walks closer to me, I pull her into my arms and kiss the fuck out of her.
“First day of forever,” she murmurs when she breaks the kiss. “I love you, Axel ‘Blood’ Johns.”
“I love you forever, Tonya Johns. Let’s start gettin’ this place cleared out. Let us know what you want us to do and we’ll get started,” I tell her, knowing this is her area of expertise and I’d be lost without her.
The club is heading in a new direction and I’m proud to be leading it. If only I knew now what would happen years from now. Known about the loss one of my own suffered and then the pain and life she led because of that loss. Hell, if I knew half the shit we had coming at us and the secrets revealed, I might not have chosen to continue the club. In reality, I wouldn’t change a fucking thing because two people came back into my life and we’re going to all be stronger because we’ll be rebuilding this place together; the way families work.

About the Author
Growing up, I was constantly reading anything I could get my hands on. Even if that meant I was reading my grandma’s books that weren’t so age appropriate. I started out reading Judy Blume, then graduated to romance, mainly historical romance, and last year I found an amazing group of Indie authors that wrote MC books. Instantly I fell in love with these books.
For a long time, I’ve wanted to write. I just never had the courage to go through with actually doing it. During a book release party, I mentioned that I wanted to write and I received encouragement from an amazing author. So, I took a leap and wrote my first book. Even though this amazing journey is just starting for me, I wouldn’t have even started if it weren’t for a wonderful group of authors and others that I’ve met along the way.
I am a mother of three children. Only one girl in the bunch! My family and friends mean the world to me and I’d be lost without them. Including new friends that I’ve met along the way. I’ve lived in New York my whole life, either in Upstate or the Southern Tier. I love it during the summer, spring, and fall. But, not so much during the winter. I hate driving in snow with a passion!
When I’m not hanging out with my family/friends, reading, or writing, you can find me listening to music. I love almost all music! Or, I’m watching a NASCAR race.
