This book was truly a labor of love. It was written during COVID-19 and everyone’s lives were thrown into the spin cycle of a washer and spit out without warning. I was in the midst of preparing for my daughter’s wedding, buying a condo to be closer to my grandchildren, and suddenly, BAM. Thankfully, as of this writing, we are all still well, still social distancing (a term we’ve all come to love and hate) and now doing Zoom cocktail parties.
Needless to say, my writing, at times, took a back seat. Thought processes were bouncing all over the place and my usual organized days turned into chaos.
All the wedding plans went straight down the drain and now we have no idea when the even will be. But, all is well here. I did close on my condo, but it sits half furnished and I haven’t seen my little nuggets in almost eight weeks. So much for that.
Life goes on and it did with this project. I have to thank my amazing beta readers—Ana Rita Clemente, Andrea Stafford, Kristie Wittenburg, and Diane Plourde for their excellent feedback.
