Dragon Emperor: Human to Dragon to God Page 23

When she caught my eyes, she smiled and waved eagerly. A moment later, there was a flash of blue as she transformed, and her phoenix form dove off the roof toward the ground. She landed gracefully before she exploded into another flash of blue as her flames erupted around us in an inferno. The heat of her fire warmed my skin, and I could smell smoke as Ravi’s phoenix form burned away and revealed her human self in front of me.

“Hello, Lord Evan,” the orange-haired woman greeted me and smiled.

“Ravi, what are you doing out here alone?”

“I wanted to wait for you, but then I got distracted by the sunset,” she admitted with a shrug.

“Why did you want to wait for me?” I questioned. “Is something wrong?”

“No!” Ravi replied quickly, and she waved off my concern. “Everything is perfect, don’t worry. I just thought we could finally finish what we started all those days ago in your room.”

She bit her lip flirtatiously and batted her eyes, and I swallowed thickly. My blood immediately rushed south and left me feeling slightly light headed.

“Why are we still outside, then?” I murmured in a husky voice. “Let’s go back to my room.”

I took a step toward the temporary palace before Ravi’s delicate hand wrapped around my arm, and I turned in confusion to see her smirk.

“My room is much closer,” she purred.

I nearly growled as I grabbed her hand and pulled her up the ramp of the airship. Then I led her back toward her room, tugged her inside, and shut the door behind her.

When we were alone, I glared at the door before I twisted the lock with finality.

No one was going to interrupt us this time.

I turned to Ravi then, and she stood a few feet in front of me. Her sapphire eyes were blown wide with lust, and her hands pulled at the hem of her robes. Her dark orange hair also fell loosely behind her back, and it smoked slightly.

I realized it did that a lot whenever Ravi felt strongly about something, and I smirked as I realized it was because of her desire for me.

“Unless the city is under attack, we are not going to be interrupted today,” I told her.

Ravi laughed, and her hands fell to her side. “I think the third time's the charm. We should be safe.”

“You never know with my parents,” I glanced around, “so if you see a magic fox, ignore it.”

Ravi chuckled again as she took a step closer to me and slipped herself between my open arms. Then she stood on her toes and pressed a kiss to my lips.

My left hand instantly wrapped itself into her hair while my right hand curled around her waist and pulled her against me. I could feel her breasts press against my chest, and I groaned into our kiss until we broke apart a moment later.

“Take this off,” I growled as I pulled at her robes.

Ravi blinked for a moment, still dazed from our kiss, before she slowly untied the front of her robes and dropped the fabric behind her. Under her robes she wore what seemed to be one single piece of red and black silk fabric that wrapped behind her neck, fell over her chest, and covered her breasts. Then the fabric trailed down her sides and clung deliciously to her curves before the silk veered off her hips slightly to cover her pussy.

I stared at her for a long moment to appreciate the view, and Ravi cleared her throat.

“Is it too much?” she inquired tentatively. “I asked Alyona for some help. I’ve never done this before, and I didn’t want to do something wrong. I can take it off if you don’t like it--”

I silenced her with a bruising kiss, and my blood ignited in my veins as the thought of finally taking the phoenix’s virginity overwhelmed my brain. She responded immediately, and I smirked before I pulled away.

  “You look perfect,” I rumbled.

“Thank you, Lord Evan.” Ravi blushed scarlet and smiled. “Alyona let me borrow her clothes, and she said you would probably like this one.”

“She was right,” I pulled Ravi close to whisper in her ear, “I do really like it, but I don’t think it will stay on long.”

I could feel Ravi shudder underneath me, and I grinned victoriously. Then I led Ravi toward her bed. It was smaller than I would be used to, but it was better than the floor, especially if Ravi was being honest, and I was the first person she would ever be with. I wanted to make sure she’d be comfortable.

Ravi’s knees hit the bed, and she nearly lost her balance, but I quickly reached out a hand and steadied her before I lowered her on the bed gently. Then I climbed onto the bed, straddled her hips, and leaned down to kiss her.

The phoenix’s hands flew up to my shirt, and she toyed with the strings that kept it shut. Then she slowly undid the shirt before she pushed the item off my shoulders and tossed it across the room. Ravi’s sky blue eyes roamed over my bare chest as she licked her lips hungrily, and my cock throbbed uncomfortably in my trousers.

I reached down to untie my pants, but Ravi’s hands beat me to it. The string quickly came undone, and she wrapped her fingers around the hem of my trousers before she pulled them down gently. My aching cock sprang free, and I pulled Ravi into a kiss as her hands wrapped around me.

My own hand slipped between her thighs, and I rubbed a finger between her slick lips. Ravi gasped quietly as I worked my digits around her entrance, and her hands fell toward the mattress beneath us and gripped the blankets tightly. I kissed down her neck and along her collar bone, and she whimpered with every touch of my lips. When I finally slid one finger inside her, she tensed quickly and let out a shuddering breath. I pressed my lips to hers as I began to move my finger, and she quickly began to pant and gasp with each movement.

“Does that feel good?” I whispered in her ear, and I began to leave dark bruises along her throat with my mouth.

Ravi nodded, but she seemed unable to speak as she moaned in pleasure. Then her body began to tighten around me, and I knew Ravi was close. So, I inserted a second finger and used my thumb to rub at her clit. It didn’t take too long for her to reach her climax, and her knuckles were white as she arched her back off the mattress.

“Oh, gods, Evan!” she screamed my name in pleasure, and I could feel her walls squeeze around me. Then I felt her juices run off my fingers as I pulled away.

My own arousal only grew as I buried my face into Ravi’s neck, and I took a few deep breaths as I waited for her to come down from her high before I continued.

“That was amazing,” Ravi breathed after a few seconds. “Just as good as the first time.”

I pushed my head up and smirked. “I’m glad, but that was only the beginning. I have a lot more planned for you today.”

“Give me everything you want,” Ravi’s eyes grew wide as she grinned, “I can take it.”

I pulled her into a kiss as I adjusted our positions. Then I pulled her legs over my shoulders, quickly lined up my cock with her slick entrance, and moaned as I began to enter her.

Ravi’s head fell back, and she let out a loud moan as I slowly pushed inside her tight tunnel.

“Yes, Evan. Yes!” Ravi gasped loudly when I was fully inside.

I gave her a few seconds to adjust, and then I started to slowly pull my hips back before I snapped them forward. Ravi’s legs trembled over my shoulders, and I kissed along her calves as I fucked her into the mattress.

The phoenix whimpered when I thrust particularly hard into her, but I bit back an apology when she turned her lust filled gaze toward me and her mouth fell open slightly. Her hair was miraculously still styled nicely around her head, so I reached out a hand and wrapped my fingers around the orange locks. Then I pulled slightly.

“Evan,” Ravi hissed in pleasure, “that feels amazing. You’re incredible.”

I could feel Ravi was getting close to her second orgasm as I pulled her hair again, and I thrust a few more times before I felt her velvet walls tense around me.

“Evan, yes!” she screamed, and her legs trembled before she fell back onto the mattress.

  The tightnes
s from her orgasm sent me over the edge, and after a few more thrusts, I pumped my dragon seed deep inside Ravi’s pussy. I pulled out when I was finished and dropped Ravi’s legs from my shoulders, but I caught a glimpse of my seed as it dripped down her legs.

As I took in the sight, I absently wondered what a dragon-phoenix child would be like.

I guessed I’d find out one way or another.

I collapsed on top of Ravi and used her chest as a pillow while we both laid in a post orgasm bliss on her bed. Then Ravi’s hand came up to my head and stroked my hair.

“Is sex always like that?” the phoenix asked a few minutes later. “Because that was the best thing I’ve ever done.”

“With me, yes,” I chuckled and also slightly preened at her words. “I’ll always make sure sex is good for you and me, you have my word on that.”

Ravi nodded. “When can we do it again?”

I laughed loudly before I pushed my body off Ravi and looked down at her with a smirk.

“How about right now?” I asked. “You ready for another round?”

Ravi nodded eagerly, and I leaned down to kiss her deeply.

After a few more hours, we were both finally satiated for the day. Ravi was curled into my chest, and she slept soundly while I stroked a feather in her hair. The feather reminded me of her tribe, and I was curious how they were doing. Ravi was free to visit whenever she’d like, as long as she stayed in her phoenix form until she reached the tribe across the desert, but I know she still missed them terribly. I knew she was still homesick, but I didn’t know how to help her out. My best hope for now would be that she would love her new room so much, it would help fill that void in her heart.

With a sigh, I dropped the feather and adjusted my body into a more comfortable position. Then I wrapped my arms around Ravi’s waist and pulled her as close as possible without waking her up. Maybe we could talk more in the morning about the future of our relationship. For now, however, I would make sure Ravi and all my women would feel safe inside my city.

They were mine, I wouldn’t let anything happen to any of them, and I would destroy anyone who tried.

  Chapter 13

I woke up the next morning before dawn with Ravi still curled up against my chest. I didn’t want to wake her, so I slowly and carefully slipped out from underneath her dreaming form.

She let out a quiet whine as she rolled over, but then she continued to sleep soundly.

I pulled the blankets over her bare body, and then I dressed quietly, slipped from her room, and made my way down the Blue Tree Guild’s airship.

I searched around for Laika as I went, since I wanted to talk to her about sending our people to nearby cities to help us gain new citizens. I knew she would be on the ship somewhere, she usually was in the mornings, it was just a matter of locating her.

When I didn’t find her on the training deck, I figured she’d probably be with Daya or with her grandfather, Pyotr. So, where would the guild leader, the former guild leader, and the Mistress of War be?

With that in mind, it didn’t take me much longer to find her. Laika, plus Pyotr, Daya, and surprisingly Tion, the Master of Commerce, were all inside the cell Mara currently occupied, and all five of them turned their heads to me as I entered.

“What’s going on in here?” I asked as I watched Mara carefully.

She was locked inside the cell, with her arms cuffed together in front of her. A tray of untouched food was at her feet, and several other trays were kicked off to the side of the cell. The stench of rotting food was ripe in the air, and it only got worse as I came closer.

“Our guest has decided she would rather starve to death than stay here with us and talk,” Daya answered, and she turned to Mara with a sneer. “It’s a pity. I was really hoping you’d try to escape so I could hunt you down like the vermin you are.”

Mara glared and lunged at the bars toward Daya, but the fox merely smirked, stepped away from the cell, and sat in the chair we used to torture Aleksey.

I approached the prisoner, and she turned her glare toward me.

“Listen, you can either eat the fresh food we give you, or,” I gave Mara a hard look, “we can force the rotten food you decided to waste down your throat. It’s really your choice.”

Mara’s eyes met my own, and we continued to glare at each other in challenge. After a few moments, the assassin quickly looked back down at the tray of food in front of her. Then she slowly grabbed a small loaf of fresh bread and took a minuscule nibble from the crust.

I cocked an eyebrow and grinned as I stepped away. “That’s what I thought. You won’t be able to starve yourself here, you don’t deserve such an easy death. You will suffer and scream before I decide you can finally die. Do you understand? You came after me and my people. I will not let you weasel your way out of punishment.”

Mara took another small bite of food and nodded slightly. Then she grabbed the cup of water that was on the tray and took a cautious sip.

“We’re not going to poison you,” Laika said to Mara. “We have more dignity than that. Poison is a coward’s weapon, assassin. When we kill you, you will know death has come for you.”

Mara pursed her lips, tipped the cup upwards, and downed the water in one giant gulp. She gasped for air as she finished before she grabbed the bundle of grapes from the tray and popped a few into her mouth.

“How long do you plan on keeping me alive anyway?” Mara asked as she continued to eat greedily.

“As long as it takes for you to outlive your usefulness,” I replied. “If you want to live, tell us more about the sect.”

“My life no longer matters to me,” she popped another grape into her mouth, “I figure I’m living on borrowed time as it is, so I might as well enjoy what little time I have left. Plus, it is really fun to annoy all of you.”

“What is your plan here?” Tion, the crow Demi-Human, snorted and crossed his arms over his chest. “To annoy us enough to kill you? It won’t work. We’ve all dealt with criminals worse than you.”

“I don’t think you’ve ever dealt with anyone quite like me before.” Mara cocked a brow and smirked. “I’m an assassin trained by the Green Glass Sect, I am trained to handle this kind of situation. Trust me, you’ll tire of me before you can break me.”

“You had no problem talking your first day here,” I reminded her. “In fact, you were quite helpful.”

“It was a temporary lapse of judgement,” Mara replied with a sneer. “I may have lost sight of my mission for a small moment, but my loyalty to the sect is true. I won’t lose faith again.”

“Suit yourself.” I shrugged. “Feel free to enjoy this cell as much as you’d like. I have more important things to do than to watch you rot away in prison.”

I turned my back to the cell as I gave my attention to the others with me in the room. I could hear Mara scoff in annoyance, but I ignored her.

“Laika,” I said to the wolf Demi-Human, “I was hoping to talk with you privately.”

The guild leader gave me a curious look but nodded as she followed me out of the room.

  “Is everything alright, my Lord?”

“Yeah,” I quickly assured her, “I just think it’s time we talked about sending out our recruitment groups. The homes we needed to build are finished, and we should have the new fields ready to harvest soon. Once we take care of these assassins, Hatra will be ready to grow, we just need to find the people to help us do it.”

“I agree.” Laika nodded. “It is time to begin expanding. I’ll alert the volunteers from the guild. They can get their groups together and leave by sunset.”

“Thank you,” I replied, “that would actually be a big help. I wouldn’t have to gather all of them alone.”

“It’s my pleasure, Lord Evan. Is there anything else you need from me?”

“No, but let me know when everyone is ready to leave. I want to see them off.”

Laika bowed her head. “Of course, my lord.”

  “
I’ll see you later then, I have a few things I need to check on with the construction.” I grabbed her arm, pulled her in for a brief kiss, and then put my mouth against her ear. “Until later.”

Her tail wagged quickly, and she grinned. “Until later, my lord.”

I pulled back and left her standing in the hall as I walked away. Over my shoulder, I heard the door to Mara’s cell open, and Laika began to give orders to her grandfather and advisors. I left the airship quickly and strolled out into the chilly air to find the sun had barely risen.

I took a deep breath and sighed as I looked out over the waking city. I wanted to talk with Raisa and Azra today, so we could start to rebuild the Lunar Palace.

I found the architects around the ruins of the old Lunar Palace. Raisa and Azra stood next to each other while a dozen workers walked around them and inspected the area.

“Hey,” I called out, and they both turned their attention to me.

“Lord Evan! You’re here.” Raisa waved and opened her arms wide in front of the ruins. “Welcome to the future plot of the newly restored Lunar Palace.”

I glanced at the ruins before I looked back to Raisa.

“It doesn’t look like much right now,” I said with a smirk.

Raisa and Azra both rolled their eyes with giant smiles on their faces, and the workers huddled around us as we joked with each other.

“That’s because you don’t have vision, which is okay, that’s where we come in,” Azra chuckled before he cracked his fingers and looked across the palace grounds. “Okay, so first things first. We need to tear down the rest of the old palace ruins.”

“Lord Evan, this is where you come in,” Raisa butted in. “You’ll stay here with me. We can use the stone to help build the foundation of the new palace, so we need to make sure we keep the stones as viable as possible. We just need the space cleared, and I need half of the workers to stay behind with Lord Evan and me to help collect the stone as he dismantles the structure.”

“As for the rest of us,” Azra turned his attention to the workers around us, “we will be working in the garden. We need some of you to clear the area of weeds and overgrown plants. The rest of you will tear up any stone in the garden. We plan to completely redo all the walking paths.”
