A Golden Fury Page 28

by Samantha Cohoe

To Lawrence M. Principe, thanks for writing The Secrets of Alchemy! I’m sure you didn’t expect your excellent history of science book to provide most of the alchemical research for a YA fantasy novel, but life is weird like that.

To Pater Edmund Waldstein, O. Cist., for checking my German and consulting on Prussian titles and names. My apologies if you find this book is unacceptably pro-revolution.

To my pals at SloHi Coffee, especially Stephanie Watters. Thanks for your patience when I parked myself at your bar to write for hours, for not rolling your eyes at all my dramatic sighing, and for the free “samples.” To BookBar Denver and Keith’s Coffee Bar, also great places to escape your kids and write a novel.

Speaking of kids, huge thank-you to Isaac, Davey, and Una for being the lights of my life and the apples of my eye. You didn’t really help with the book, though.

Thank you to the brilliant authors who have read and recommended A Golden Fury before its release: Rosamund Hodge, Emily Duncan, Hannah Capin, Tracy Townsend, Marie Brennan, Gita Trelease, Catherine Egan, Lisa Maxwell, and Ellen Goodlett. Thank you, thank you.

And finally, thank you to God, cui est gloria in saecula saeculorum.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR
