Charlotte glanced over at Jordan. He swallowed hard before giving a slight nod.
Her mother noticed as well. “We all are accountable for not seeing what was happening to that boy,” she said.
Charlotte didn’t bother to hold back the tears that pooled in her eyes. Having her mother and friends here meant the world to her, and she knew Jordan appreciated it as well.
She had no idea what was going to happen after today. No idea how people would react or if this foundation would help any teens with mental health issues, but she shouldn’t have been surprised to find Anne Marie and Gina here.
Stillwater Bay was a town full of survivors. A town full of hope and love and forgiveness. They would continue to get through this as they had in the past. As a community.
A community that was her family.
