The Diva and his Daddy

by James, Rebecca;

To my surprise, Cane started laughing. “I was just giving him the same kind of treatment he gave you when he wasn’t sure of my intentions.”

Tony perched on the arm of the chair I was sitting in and rubbed the back of my neck. “I’m just looking out for Nick. I don’t want to see him hurt.”

I looked up at him, shocked. “And you believe I’d hurt him?”

  “Not intentionally.”

Noises from the down the hall caught all of our attention. It sounded like a bed hitting the wall in my old room.

  “What the hell?”

Cane glanced over his shoulder. “When the cat’s away, the mice will play.”

  “Who is it?” Tony asked.

  “Tease and Adam.”

My eyebrows shot up. “They’re fucking? Since when?”

Cane shrugged. “It’s just casual. I think Adam needed an outlet.”

  My phone buzzed.

  A text from Nick.

  Please come over.

I stood. “Hey, I gotta go.”

  “Is something wrong?” Tony asked.

“I don’t know,” I said, already halfway out the door.

  ****

I’d worried on the ride to the Winters building. By the time I got there, I’d convinced myself either Nick was bleeding out on the floor or he was going to break up with me. I sighed in relief when I didn’t see an ambulance outside the building, then steeled myself for the second scenario.

He must not have meant what he’d said at Lux. Or maybe he’d found someone else and realized that I really was still that fuck-up he’d dragged out of bed all those times.

All good things came to an end, I told myself, but as I passed the security guard and headed for the private elevator, my mind shouted I wasn’t ready for me and Nick to end. We were good together. Hell, we were great. I just had to convince him of that.

I’d raised my hand to knock when the door to Nick’s apartment burst open, and Nick stared at me with red-rimmed eyes. I immediately forgot everything else and pulled him into my arms, burying my nose in his sweet-smelling hair.

  “Tell me what you need.”

Nick shuddered and clutched at my back. “Just you,” he said into my shirt, and something inside me clicked into place like a good tug on a dislocated bone.

“You got it.” I shuffled us inside and shut the door before wrapping him more comfortably in my arms, so relieved not to find him physically hurt or about to end us.

“Something happen?” I asked after a few moments of quiet.

Nick sighed against my chest. “I don’t want to talk about it.” He tightened his hold around me. “I just want you inside me.”

My cock perked up at that, but I was concerned. Why was he upset?

He looked up at me, eyes almost translucent. “Please, Daddy,” he whispered before falling to his knees and unbuckling my belt. “Can I suck you?”

“Nick,” I said, pulling him back to his feet. “Come sit with me for a little bit.” I led him to the couch and pulled him down onto my lap.

  “Tell me,” I said firmly.

Nick’s mouth trembled. He took a deep breath and let it out. “My father called me. He never calls me. He told me I’ve fucked things up with him and Grandma. That things were finally working out for him but I had to ruin it. Stuff like that.” Nick played with the button on my shirt.

“I’m sorry he did that. Did you get into a fight?”

Nick shook his head and looked at me with wet eyes. “I hung up on him. I blocked his number.”

I smiled. He’d remembered what I’d said about how his dad would never change and fighting wasn’t going to do any good.

  “I’m proud of you.”

Nick wiped his eyes and leaned in, nuzzling my throat. I rubbed my hand down his legs.

“Seriously, Nick. You did the right thing. I know it was hard not to lash out.”

After a moment, Nick sat up and smiled at me. “Can I suck you now, Daddy?”

I could tell he felt better.

I nodded toward my open belt. “Get to it, boy.”

Nick slid between my legs and quickly freed my cock from my jeans. I was half-hard just looking at him on his knees, and when he took one of my balls into his mouth, my cock quickly filled. He lifted it up as he sucked on my nuts, eyes closed and expression intent. What he was doing felt so damn good.

When Nick slid my cock into his mouth, I cursed and grasped his hair. My boy liked that, his breathing quickening as he expertly went down on me.

“God, Nick…God. You are so fucking good at that.”

Before I got too far gone, I reluctantly pulled his mouth off me. Seeing him kneeling there, pouting up at me, spittle dripping from his lush bottom lip…I scooped him over my shoulder and headed for the bedroom—not an easy task with my jeans halfway down my thighs.

But I managed, tossing Nick onto the bed before stripping off my clothes.

Nick fluttered his lashes at me. “Do you want me to get undressed, Daddy?”

“You know I fucking do,” I said with a growl, and Nick began to slowly strip, shooting me teasing glances every time he flicked a garment away. Something about knowing I’d helped him when he needed me made me so hot for him. I couldn’t wait to get inside him.

Naked, Nick rolled onto all fours. I smacked his ass before spreading it open for my perusal. “There’s my pretty,” I said with satisfaction. God, how I loved that little hole. I spit on it, and Nick groaned and wiggled his ass. Burying his face in the covers, he whined, “Fuck me. Please, Daddy, please. I need it.”

Christ, I was hard. I reached for the lube that was already waiting for me on the bed and slicked up my cock.

“Hurry, Daddy.” I knew he wanted to feel it, so I didn’t spend a lot of time preparing him before sliding inside.

He cried out, but pushed eagerly back on me until I was all the way in. He spread his legs wider and lay panting while I took in the pale curve of his back, the luscious swell of his ass, and finally, the place where our bodies joined. My balls drew up, but I held off the orgasm that wanted to overtake me, breathing through it until I had control again.

“Okay?” I asked, running my hand up his back.

He nodded. “I need it hard.”

So, I gave it to him, pounding him into the mattress, his moans and cries urging me on until my legs started to cramp.

Pulling out, I lay down on the bed. “Ride me,” I said, and Nick eagerly climbed on top and eased himself down on my hard cock, and God, that felt amazing. Stretched and lubed, he took me like a champ. When he began grinding down onto me, I grasped his thighs.

“Slow down, boy. You’re gonna make Daddy blow.”

Nick moaned but slowed down. I ran my hands up his ribs to play with his nipple rings, watching him squirm on my cock.

Nick began to move, and soon sweat poured off us as our bodies slapped together. When I could tell Nick was tiring, I braced my feet on the bed and pistoned into him, my hands on his hips pressing him down hard with every upstroke.

The sounds leaving Nick’s mouth rivaled the dirtiest porn, and once again, I started to climb, wave upon wave of pleasure pushing me higher and higher until I couldn’t hold back anymore. Wrapping my hand around his hard cock, I stroked it fast.

“Come, boy,” I growled out, and with a couple more strokes, he did, cum shooting over my belly and chest. Watching him was pure pleasure as I came down from my own jarring climax. He flushed, goosebumps breaking out all over his flesh; his thighs tightening at my waist and his body jerking. When he opened his eyes and they met mine, they were blessedly free from the pain I’d seen earlier.

“Thank you, Daddy,” he said, leaning down and kissing me. Our tongues intertwined lazily.

“Feel better?” I asked him when he’d rolled off me and lay in my arms.

  “Much better.”

I lay there thinking about that pile of shit calling my Nick and making him feel unwanted. Unworthy. Unloved.

; My mind went to the panic I’d felt on the way over there thinking Nick might be hurt or about to tell me we were through.

Time to face up to your feelings, Mendoza. You know it’s not about having fun anymore, and Nick deserves to hear it. Just hope he doesn’t dump your ass when you tell him.

“Nick, I need to tell you something.”

Nick’s body stiffened against mine, and he sat up. “What is it?”

I took his hand and kissed it. “I said I thought we should see each other until one of us wasn’t having fun anymore.”

“And you’ve decided you’re not,” Nick said. “I’m not surprised, with my issues.” He glared at me. “I told you, Jeo. I told you that night at Lux.” He started to climb off the bed, but I pulled him back.

“No, listen. That’s not it at all. Damn, I’m fucking this up.” I took a deep breath and let it out. “Sit down, Nick,” I said firmly, and when he did, I continued, “Recently I realized that it’s not all about fun for me anymore. Somewhere along the way, it’s become…more.”

  Nick’s gaze shot to mine.

  “What?”

“I’m saying that I have feelings for you. Beyond general friendship and horniness,” I added, trying to smile, but still afraid he’d freak out and say he didn’t want that from me.

  “You…have feelings for me?”

  I nodded, watching his face.

  “What kind of feelings?”

“You’re not going to make this easy on me, are you?” I sighed. “I don’t know because I’ve never felt this way before. I just know that when I’m not with you, I’m restless. When I think you’re hurting, I hurt. I want to be around you all the time. And your smile makes my heart a hell of a lot lighter.”

  Nick’s mouth dropped open.

“And you have a pretty mouth,” I added, because he really, really did. “I like to look at it even when it isn’t around my cock.”

Nick smiled, and, just like I’d told him, my heart took flight.

“What do you think all that means?” he asked.

“I don’t know. Maybe that this doesn’t change anything, and you don’t want to break up with me?”

Nick’s eyes softened. “Of course it changes things.”

My heart sank. Nick moved closer, his baby blues focused on my face.

“Knowing you have feelings for me, when I feel so much for you, means everything to me, Jeo. Of course I don’t want to break up with you. I told you that before. If you want this to end, you’re going to have to end it.”

I scooted a little closer so that our noses touched. “And that’s not happening.”

His mouth quirked. “I guess we’re not ending, then.”

“I guess not.” I pulled him onto me and into a kiss.

  CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

  Nick

I didn’t know whether I was coming or going. Jeo had told me—well, practically told me—he loved me. At least the early stages of love. I think? I kept second-guessing things. What if Jeo only thought he felt something but didn’t really? What if he started missing having any sex partner he wanted? What if the whole Daddy/boy thing got old, and he realized it was all just a novelty?

“What’s going on with you?” Tony asked.

I stopped tapping my pencil on the table and looked up to find him standing beside my desk.

  “Huh?”

“One minute you’re grinning from ear to ear and another you’re looking like you’re going to vomit.”

“Oh, nothing. I’m just feeling a little restless this morning.”

The elevator dinged and when the doors opened, a member of security approached carrying a basket of white daisies mixed with red roses.

  “Nick Chambers?”

“Over here,” Tony said, and the man placed the basket on my desk. When he’d left, Tony looked at me. “Flowers? Wow. They’re from Jeo, right?”

I looked at the card and nodded. Just his name and a heart beside it. My own heart went crazy.

“Tony,” Cane said from the doorway of his office. “Is it almost lunchtime?”

“Somewhere in the world,” Tony said, smiling. “You should’ve eaten breakfast. I’ll go down and make you a sandwich.” He turned to me. “Come with me?”

With a last, lingering look at my flowers, I followed Tony to the elevator.

A few minutes later, we entered Tony and Cane’s quiet apartment on the ninth floor. The layout was a lot like mine but with a larger living area and master suite.

“God, it’s so nice living here,” Tony said, loosening his tie on his way to the kitchen. “I miss the guys, but having privacy is so great. We can make all the noise we want, and we don’t have to listen to Blaze and Lake going at it in their room. You wouldn’t think it, but Lake’s a screamer.”

  I laughed. “Oh, my God.”

“Yeah, when he gets really worked up, he doesn’t hold anything back. I don’t even think he realizes it, and fucking Blaze walks around looking proud as punch.” Tony chuckled as he opened the bread. “Want a sandwich?”

“Make me one and I’ll eat it at my desk later.”

  Tony rummaged in the refrigerator.

“I’m always telling Cane to eat breakfast, but most of the time he doesn’t.” He put some lunch meat on the counter. “Oh, I forgot to tell you, we’ve got people looking at the apartments, so you might see some around.”

  “Cool.”

“Okay, now let me hear all the details. I know something’s up, but Jeo sent you flowers, so it couldn’t be bad.” He glanced at me. “Unless he’s trying to make up for something.”

“No, he didn’t do anything wrong.” I couldn’t stop the smile spreading across my face as I told him about what Jeo had said the night before.

“I knew it! Oh, my God,” Tony crowed. “So why all the restless squirming this morning?”

“I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop.” When Tony made an exasperated face, I continued, “Let’s face it. Jeo’s never been in a serious relationship, right? So, maybe he just thinks he’s getting serious about me. He’s used to sleeping with whomever the hell he wants. Sooner or later he’ll get bored with me.”

Tony shook his head. “You’re just not going to let yourself enjoy this, are you?”

  I grimaced. “I’m trying.”

He took some sandwich bags out of the drawer. “You’re the only person Jeo has ever dated exclusively, but you still think it’s a fluke. Well, I for one think you’re it for Jeo. So what I want to know is, now that you guys are getting serious, how’s that going to work? He has to live at Rainbow House, and you don’t want to move into his tiny apartment.”

“Sheesh, you’re getting ahead of yourself. I dated Royce a couple of years, and we never moved in together.”

“That wasn’t the same thing at all, and you know it.”

Tony was right about that. Royce and I were casual from the get-go, even if we weren’t seeing other people. I never even thought of moving in with him. Besides, we agreed neither of us wanted to do our Daddy/boy dynamic full time. With Jeo, the kink was leaking out of the bedroom and into our daily lives more and more lately, and I liked that. Plus, I wanted to be with him all the time.

“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.”

Tony bit into a pickle and passed the jar to me, watching as I fished one out. “I can’t believe you actually thought he didn’t have feelings for you. So obvious.”

I smiled, happiness curling in my gut.

My phone buzzed and I opened the group text.

“Morgan’s reminding all of us we have a rehearsal for the talent show tonight.” I put the phone down. “I wish you and Cane were going to be in it.”

“We’re pretty talentless,” Tony said. “Unless you want me to get up there and paint while Cane knocks some heads together.”

I laughed. “Guess that wouldn’t work. Maybe the two of you could have sex. That would be entertaining.”

“I’m sure all the families there to suppor
t the LBGTQ community would love that,” Tony said dryly.

  My phone buzzed again.

“Morgan says he’s been able to pull in donations from several businesses.”

“That’s great! Man, he’s certainly come a long way over the past several years. He’s so young, but he runs that big company and still manages to teach dance.” Tony took a sip of ice water. “I heard Zeke’s going to perform with him.”

“Yeah, I’m dying to see what he does.”

  “Me too.”

When we finished eating, I sent a quick text to Jeo thanking him for the flowers and telling him I’d see him at rehearsal.

The rest of the workday sped by, probably because Cane kept piling stuff on my desk, keeping me busy.

  ****

“Zeke and Morgan’s act has become some kind of big secret,” Jeo told me when I’d settled down beside him in the auditorium to watch Dante and Matteo practice before it was our turn. “I think he just doesn’t want anyone to see him in tights.”

“I doubt he’s going to wear tights,” I said. “Although I wouldn’t mind seeing that.”

Jeo gave me a side glance. “You wanna see Zeke’s junk in tights?”

I shrugged. “I’d deserve to get my gay card taken away if I didn’t.”

Jeo frowned, and I laughed, ridiculously pleased that he was jealous. But then I remembered Jeo seemed sensitive about being older than the other guys in the club. So I laced my fingers with his and said, “His ass isn’t half as nice as yours.” That was true—in my opinion, anyway. I leaned nearer to him. “You look really sexy tonight, Daddy.” I lowered my voice to a purr. “I can’t wait to dance with you.”

He’d taken off his jacket and wore only a tank with his jeans. I bit the muscle at the top of his arm before bringing our clasped hands to my mouth and kissing his knuckles, glad to see him relax into the seat.

“I didn’t know Matteo was going to sing,” I said after a moment. “Is he any good?”

“Yeah, he always dominates karaoke night at the Slick Whistle.”

Dante started playing his guitar, and I turned my attention to the stage. When Matteo began to sing, my eyes widened. He really was good. Like, sign him up for The Voice good.
