Brittany spoke up. “You, Ned, and I set up this office a long time ago. You took care of all the secretarial duties and made it look easy. It just so happens I have a position that needs filling.”
Heather added, “We’ll need to start her with at least double what the last girl made. In fact, considering we’ll be adding several attorneys and more clerical help, she’ll probably need to be paid triple. Good office managers are hard to find.” Heather rose and placed a hand on Steve’s shoulder. “And that’s not including her having to put up with a grumpy private investigator who’ll be sharing an office with his partner.”
