The sale of this book without its cover….well, is, sort of, impossible since it really does not have a cover but let us go through the legal spray out anyways. If you purchased this book without a cover, you should be aware that it was reported to the publisher as “unsold and destroyed.” Hands up to you who have books like this in your collection? Now that I have put my hand down we can continue with the credits and copyright and legal and stuff that people just do not ever pay attention to unless it is pumping their own horn.

Oh, and if you download stuff you didn’t pay for and it’s against the wishes of the copyright holder you are stealing. You have your delusions, I have mine, delusions don’t make things right though.

  The Tin Universe,

In these stories, this universe, this world, this reality, this Earth upon which the stories of this short story series takes place are much like our own. This Earth is much like our own but different in a few noticeable ways. Different in the sort of ways brothers are different from one another and sisters are not. The way cats are different from one another but dogs are not…

Her name is Gail Busiek and her life changed forever when she woke up from being in a cavernous coma state, but her life changed even more when she started high school a few years early. Now not only does she have to deal with queen bee rich assholes trying to ruin her everyday life, and mysterious groups playing games with her everyday life, she’s also getting tired of all the weird shit that seems to be happening more and more frequently to her and those around her Every Day Life.

  Tennessee, U.S.

Calderwood Lake has a for the most part an unknown story going on as trout normally would be swimming through Little Tennessee River, through the cuts and gorges that run along the North Carolina/Tennessee border. but the trout fishermen who are leaving their fishing holes thinking these waters have been fished dry have no idea that these fish are actually hemorrhaging as a force is pushing them to the bottoms of the waters turning their bones to dust within their otherwise undamaged shells.

There will come a time later when researches find these trout and they will ask what caused this sort of phenomenon to happen. They will guess Climate Changes, pollution, and even a few will blame Al Gore.

He’s not as popular in Tennessee as his family like to act like he is.

Trout are usually an easy catch on Calderwood but the sight of the growing events of today are affecting all of the surrounding wildlife that use and protect the lake.

Great Horned Owls are circling the lake but as some might think a large parliament of owls have spotted something dead floating in the lake, the fact is the circle started with only six owls and with each circle a bone pressed itself up through the mouth of an owl and grew into a complete and fully formed copy of another Great Horned Owl.

And that is some crazy shit son.

I could go on about other strange things involving animals of the Smokey Mountains because there are something like 66 species of mammals, close to 300 variety of birds, and damn near 60 fish species, but what would that give you besides a point early in this story where you find yourself questioning why you choose to put your hard earned money to download this.

Unless you’re a State Park fanboy, then you probably liked that paragraph.

Ok, so, to get on with things let us just say this. A lot of strange shit was going down. Elk were experimenting with Humanestiality, a very angry White Tailed Deer bit a old woman on the nose just because she was old, a Scarlet Kingsnake spend the day watching movies at a horror movie marathon drive-thru, and you really don’t want to know what the Black Bears were up to.

Speaking of strange, weird, and things being up to things.

Pacing back and forth on the surface of the waters of Calderwood Lake was a reflection like image, oddly human in shape, slowly phasing into a solid state of existence.

He has grown into a state of becoming the embodiment of vengeance and remembrance for the Eastern Mountains of North America. There were pieces of him alive throughout many events that took place in Tennessee. He whispered in the ear of The Bell Witch, he gave an old man the balls to tell Davy Crockett that the Frozen Dawn story was just stupid, and a brief manifestation in the sight of an old preacher lead to a weekend binge of cannibalism.

But this powerful being was asleep for the most part for roughly 120 years until the event now called The Virginia Rapture shook every piece of him from his slumber.

Although as with most books there are always stories for another time and that is true of The Virginia Rapture.

Not in this story but I will get to it in time.

Just now this powerful being is wiping the decades from his eyes. He is solid in shape once again and gaining knowledge and anger about what forms of attack has been waged on the lands he was empowered to protect.

The standing patterns of wildlife and the world itself are whispering to him. Their madness from his rebirth is feeding back into his anger. In fact what is happening is that he is growing up.

Standing at a stature of 6 foot in height and appearing to be a Native American male of immaculate physical condition, this former Brave of the Cherokee who died out of his human life by a bullet from a young hand is now building upon the waters of the Calderwood the winds, the clouds, and storm forces which are screaming back at the world of man.

His naked form is slowly dressed by Slickrock winds in a black body tattoo from a point above his eyes to his ankles. A Poesidantic chant comes from his lips and his eyes disappear to be replaced with symbols of the old War God.

‘I will wash you away. From the Chilhowee Mountains to Sylva, there shall be pain and death.’

Within another region of Tennessee an old rested spirit of protection calls on her former lover, one of the Bloodline of Thor, to help her protect the lives she calls her children.

She sits in her modest home, on the wooden floors which are bowed and cracked. White Worms are growing from the ground beneath the house and seeping through the wood and eat their way into her flesh.

The White Worms are an ancient species. They were created when the first man shed his first tears and they have been used by those with connections to the magics since to communicate with othe
rs who do not wish to be found.

They crawl into the users heart, into their mouth, their eyes, and their mind. They take into themselves bits of your bond to the person you wish to find and talk to and then they scream out your message to all points of creation until the connection is made.

  Melbourne, Florida

We start here a few days before a three day weekend trip to Tennessee.

This trip was Jeff Borges idea to strengthen the friendships between himself, Fox, and Karen, but before they hit the road, as in to hop on a plane, Karen had a tossup with a truck load of Florida rednecks outside Blind River High School.

Karen was there picking up Alex Miller, a friend of hers from a job she had last summer at a local factory, of the circuit board variety of factory madness, the job was part of her Bright Futures scholarship point system.

Bright Futures is a scholarships program in Florida which is funded by the state lottery. In the program you can earn a scholarship to any public University in the state. Georgia has something similar called Hope. But the Hope program has just recently had a lot of political tinkering and has now been tied to a program requiring 500 hours of National Guard service.

  So much for Hope.

The Bright Futures program isn’t what it used to be either but is still pretty good in a time of ever increasing tuition costs.

Karen has given up finding much hope in
