I arched my back, thrusting my hips against his tongue, my thighs closing around his head as he held onto me. He licked and sucked, his tongue dancing around my clit and making me writhe on the bed.
It didn’t take him long to bring me to the peak, and I let out a moan. He waited a few moments for me to recover, his eyes never leaving mine, as if he wanted to see just how much pleasure he was giving me.
He blew a hot breath against my core before giving me a long lick, and when I felt his fingers slide inside me, I bucked my hips. His tongue teased and played with my clit as his fingers pumped in and out of me.
My fingers curled into sheets as I could barely focus from all the pleasure. All I knew was that I didn’t want him to stop.
His tongue hit all the right spots and I came again, clenching around his fingers. When he looked up at me, there was a satisfied smile on his face and he licked his fingers. I was once again overcome with a need for him so strong that it devoured everything else.
I rolled over onto my stomach, thrusting my hips up. He rubbed his nose against my slit and gave me a soft kiss before plunging his tongue inside me again. His tongue twirled over my clit, his fingers finding their way inside me again.
He lapped at me as if he couldn’t get enough, and then his tongue moved to my ass, pushing against my tight opening. Electricity shot through me, and a moan tore its way out of my throat when another orgasm shook my body.
I collapsed on the bed, my insides tingling and aching, but I still wanted more. And Ryker was way too overdressed for this.
“Take off your clothes,” I said, and he hurried to obey.
When I managed to push myself up, he was already naked. My gaze settled on his thick length, which was already leaking.
“Come here.” I patted the bed next to me.
He climbed onto the bed, crawling over to me. I gave his ass a sharp slap, and he smiled at me before lying down on his back.
Leaning over the edge of the bed, I spotted his bowl of ice cream. Most of it had melted already, but it didn’t matter.
I snatched the bowl and spilled the ice cream all over his chest. He watched me in amazement as I got on top him, a wicked smile on my face.
“You’re mine now, Ryker.” I winked at him before bending my head.
Chapter 34
I LOVED THE SMALL NOISES he was making as I trailed my tongue over his chest, licking off the ice cream. When I brushed against his cock, he groaned.
“Shh.” I pressed my lips to his.
I could still taste myself on him. The look in his eyes was intoxicating, and I kissed him once again, my hand trailing down his chest and closing around his thick length.
I gently stroked him until he was gasping for breath, and then I gave him a light squeeze.
“Don’t you dare come until I tell you to.” I waved my finger at him.
He gaped at me, but he nodded.
“Hold onto the headboard and don’t let go,” I commanded as I lowered myself down his strong body. He reached for the headboard, gripping it tightly.
Now I’d get to see just how much he could take, and I couldn’t wait.
When I took him into my mouth, his eyelids fluttered. I twirled my tongue around him as I massaged his balls. When I squeezed, my teeth grazing his shaft, his muscles tensed.
My tongue danced around his tip, teasing him, and my finger pressed against the sensitive spot behind his balls. He let out a cry, and I kept licking him as if he was my favorite lollypop.
“Please,” he breathed. “I can’t take it anymore.”
“I don’t care.” I grinned at him, my nails digging into his tender flesh.
He seemed to love that, his face a mask of bliss, even as he winced. His grip on the headboard was so strong that I thought he might break it. He certainly looked strong enough to do it.
I let go of him, giving him a little break so he could catch his breath. But then I straddled him, rubbing my core against him, and we both hissed.
“Oh fuck, Lexi,” he groaned into his arm.
“Yeah, that’s right. I’m going to fuck you.” I cupped him, guiding him toward my entrance.
No matter how much I’d fantasized about this moment, it couldn’t have prepared me for all the different sensations that surged through my body as I took him inside me. I slowly pushed myself down on him, letting him fill me and stretch me.
My whole body was on fire as I started bucking my hips. I took my time, moving without hurry or urgency. I loved the feeling of him inside me.
“You can let go of the headboard,” I said, and he reached out for me. I let him hold onto my hips, and then I started thrusting against him faster and faster.
He met me stroke for stroke, and I arched my back, running my hands over my breasts.
“Don’t move,” I said, grasping his wrists.
I pinned them on each side of his head as I leaned over him, capturing his lips. He was staring at me in awe as I rocked my hips again.
My nails were digging into his skin, and it seemed like that only increased his pleasure. I slammed myself down on him as I gripped his wrists tightly.
He was trapped under me.
Mine.
The moment our gazes connected, my climax surged through me, leaving me breathless. Ryker and I were one, our bodies joined together in more ways than I’d thought possible. There was no past, no present, no future.
It was just us, frozen in time.
“You can come now,” I said when I saw the strained look on his face.
His release joined mine a moment later, and I felt him throb and pulsate inside me.
A smile spread across my lips because the look on his face was priceless. I didn’t think I’d ever seen him so peaceful, his eyes swirling with emotion.
I collapsed on top of him and he wrapped his arms around me, his lips finding mine. When I rolled off him, my body still vibrating from waves of pleasure, I turned my head to look at him.
Ryker Cavano.
I’d just had sex with Ryker Cavano, and it had felt so damn good.
No one had ever made me feel like that before.
Like I was special.
Like I was the only person he needed in his life to be truly happy.
He shifted so he could rest his head on my shoulder, and I ran my hand through his hair, caressing gently.
I should feel conflicted about this.
I should be internally screaming.
But I wasn’t doing any of that. I was just happy, and I didn’t want to feel guilty about it.
“I wish we could stay like this forever,” he murmured as he snaked his arm around me.
“Wait, are you saying that we can’t?”
He let out a small laugh as he looked up at me. “I don’t know. We can try.”
“Yeah, we can.” I didn’t want to move or do anything.
“Does that mean you’re willing to give me a chance?” He lifted himself up as he stared deep into my eyes.
“And what do you think I’ve been doing these past few days?” I shook my head at him, a smile tilting my lips.
“I just wanted to make sure.” He pressed his lips to mine, and I wound my arms around his neck.
Another wave of desire rushed through me, so I wrapped my legs around his waist, pulling him closer to me.
“I think I’m ready for more.” I flashed him a wide smile.
“And I’m here to serve.” His mouth collided with mine again.
As our tongues intertwined, his hand traveling down my body and lighting up a fire inside me, I already knew this was going to be a very long night.
And I was going to enjoy every second of it.
Chapter 35
DAYS QUICKLY TURNED into weeks, and I was enjoying getting to know the new Ryker. Yeah, I didn’t think he’d be faking for so long. He had changed, at least a little bit.
And maybe, one day, he’d leave the Scarlet Cobras. But it was still too soon to think about what the future might have
in store for us. For now, I just want to explore our new relationship.
Today, though, I was all alone because Ryker had gone off to deal with some business, and a part of me was worried that a different Ryker would come home. His men were still guarding the house, but it wasn’t like I could talk with them about anything.
Actually, they seemed to be afraid of me, or maybe that was because they weren’t sure how Ryker would react if he found them talking to me. I wasn’t too happy about that, but at least I could explore the house. It wasn’t huge, but I was constantly discovering new rooms.
The last time I’d been looking around, I’d found a small library. Maybe this time I’d find something interesting too.
My mind wandered once again to Ryker. Would he really leave the Cobras for me? Could the connection we shared grow into something strong enough to change everything? Of course, I dreaded the conversation that I’d need to have with him soon.
He had to know who I really was, and he’d have to tell me everything that was going on with his business. I wouldn’t accept it any other way. If we were to be together, then I didn’t want there to be any secrets between us.
A snow globe on a shelf caught my eye, so I went closer to take a better look. I lifted it up and shook it, a smile spreading across my lips. But as I was about return the snow globe to its place, I spotted something that looked like a small button.
What the hell was that? A bug? And I was thinking about a device for listening in on someone, not about a real bug. When I tried to pick it up, I realized that I couldn’t. It was stuck. Or maybe it wasn’t.
Maybe all I had to do was press on it, so I did just that. At first, nothing happened, but then the shelf started to shift. I took a step back, staring at it in wonder. The shelf moved out of the way and revealed a door to a small room.
As I stepped inside, the lights came on. It was a small office with a desk and a computer. Wait, this was Ryker’s secret office, wasn’t it? The computer was on for some reason, or maybe it had turned on automatically just like the lights.
I went closer. Maybe Ryker wouldn’t want me to be here, but if he was serious about wanting to be my boyfriend, then he couldn’t keep things like this from me. That would be pointless.
I furrowed my brow as I focused on the computer screen. There was a folder with a big exclamation mark next to it. Whatever was in that folder had to be important. Maybe it was about whatever Ryker was doing right now.
And no matter how much I wanted to pretend that his gang business didn’t exist, I was too curious to let it go. Maybe it wasn’t right for me to pry, but I clicked on the folder anyway.
What appeared on the screen made me gasp.
Oh shit.
On no.
My hand flew to my mouth. The files that had opened were the ones that had been on my phone. It was everything I’d collected on Ryker’s illegal activities.
My throat constricted.
He knew.
He knew about all of it.
But why hadn’t he said anything? Or maybe he didn’t know just yet. Once I closed the folder, the exclamation mark was gone. He must’ve found my phone. Calavera’s men must’ve had it with them, and Ryker’s men had taken it from Calavera’s house.
Maybe Ryker thought the phone had belonged to Calavera, and he’d wanted to check if there was anything useful on it. What if his men had been tasked with figuring out who the phone really belonged to?
What if they’d just found the files now, and they were waiting for Ryker to return to tell him? A thousand thoughts flew through my head. Where was my phone?
I looked around, but I couldn’t see it anywhere. Oh shit. My contacts and my data were on it too, so I was pretty sure that whoever had found the files also knew the phone was mine.
What could I do now? Should I just confess everything to Ryker? But what if he didn’t give me a chance? I’d kept such a big thing from him. All those files could destroy him, and I had no idea if he could think clearly when he was angry.
So far, I hadn’t been the target of his anger, but now...
See? He’s not the right man for you. You wouldn’t be afraid of him if he was.
Maybe he’d understand. Maybe he wouldn’t.
But I knew there was only one thing I could do. I had to get out of here.
Sure, it might make me look guiltier, but it also might give Ryker time to calm down. If his men hadn’t even told him yet, then he’d find out once he got back, and I didn’t want to be here for that.
But wouldn’t his men have called him immediately? Or did they think that I wasn’t a threat since I was in his house? It didn’t make any sense. Wouldn’t they be watching me more carefully to make sure I didn’t stumble upon this?
I chewed on my lower lip. There was a chance someone had just extracted all the files from all the phones that had been brought from Calavera’s house. Maybe they hadn’t even bothered to check whose phone it was until Ryker requested it. Maybe it wasn’t too late for me to try to fix this.
If I could get my hands on the phone, then I might be able to stop Ryker from figuring out those files were mine. I’d have to find a way to tell him. And if things went very wrong, I’d still have the phone and I could use it if Ryker threatened me.
I was really hoping it wouldn’t come to that, but I had to put my safety first. Opening as many drawers and cabinets as I could, I tried to find the damn phone, but it wasn’t anywhere in the office.
I pushed the shelf back into its place, and then searched the room, but the phone wasn’t there either. Hopefully, Ryker’s men hadn’t already taken it to him. It was possible they’d just assumed that Calavera had been collecting all that info, and they hadn’t even checked.
I swallowed hard. This was bad. My gaze fell on the phone that was on the desk. Maybe I should call Nia. She might be able to help me out with this, but I didn’t want to call her from Ryker’s phone.
I’d texted her a few times to assure her that I was safe, but the texts had been sent to her safe line that couldn’t be used for actual calls.
No, I couldn’t drag anyone else into this. I’d have to figure my way out of this mess on my own. As I strode out into the hallway, one of Ryker’s men inclined his head to me as he passed me by.
He was relaxed and not at all worried. They didn’t know yet, did they? That meant I still had some time left.
But where the hell could they have hidden that damn phone?
Chapter 36
I MADE MY WAY AROUND the house, taking a peek into almost every room, but I had no clue where the damn phone might be. If it was even here. Someone might’ve taken it who knew where, and I didn’t even want to think about that.
But then I spotted one of the guards coming out of the room that I hadn’t checked. Maybe the phone and everything else Ryker’s men had found while searching through Calavera’s stuff was in there.
The only problem was that there was no reason for me to go in there. It looked like a storage room where the guards went for their break to take a smoke or something.
Still, I pressed myself against the wall with the direct view of the room, which was just down the hallway, and I pretended that I was reading a book. It might seem a little silly that I was standing in the hallway while reading, but I could say that I wanted to stretch my legs and didn’t want to sit all the time.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could see the guards come and go, but there was never the right moment for me to go inside. Someone was always in there. Fuck.
But after one of the guards left, I didn’t see anyone come in. A few more minutes trickled by, and then I decided I had to go inside. I could always say that I got lost since there weren’t any guards around to warn me away.
Maybe I could pretend I’d spilled something and was looking for a way to clean it up because I didn’t want to bother the maid.
Lowering my book, I glanced right and left. It was a good thing there weren’t any cameras in here, but I supposed Ryker had
n’t had the time to install them, or maybe he believed it wasn’t necessary since this was only supposed to be a temporary house.
It would be a waste of time and money to always take care of everything. But then again, he had that secret office, so maybe he had priorities when it came to equipping his safe houses.
Shit.
There were so many things about Ryker that I still didn’t know.
When I was sure no one was coming, I pushed the door open. It really was a storage room, and all kinds of things were strewn across the floor and the tables. Knives, weapons, phones. It was all there, and the room stank of smoke.
I hurried to the table with phones. A few of them had yellow tape on them, and I assumed they were the ones that had been taken from Calavera’s place. My heart skipped a beat when I saw my phone. I quickly grabbed it.
The screen was dark, so I pressed the power button to turn it on. Maybe it wasn’t working anymore. Maybe whatever was on it had been deleted already or it wouldn’t be just lying here like this.
But when the screen came to life, everything looked just like it always did. I slipped the phone into the pocket of my jeans and headed for the door. It was better if no one caught me in here and started asking questions.
Even if Ryker and his men didn’t suspect me at the moment, they might start if they found me in here. I held my breath as I opened the door. No one was in the hallway, so I slipped outside.
But just as I was rounding the corner, I found myself face-to-face with Ryker. My heart jumped all the way to my throat, but I did my best to keep my face expressionless. I had no idea if it was working, though.
Ryker’s lips spread into a small smile and he leaned in for a kiss. My lips brushed his, and I forced my lips into a small smile.
“You’re back,” I managed to say. “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah,” he said, but there was something different about the way he was looking at me. Or maybe it was just my overactive imagination. “Come with me. I want to show you something.”
