Prologue
The inception of C. PB Delight began over a few glasses of whiskey at Harrah’s back in 2000. It started between two guys who would later become the best of friends. They formed the club to cater to the sex games they liked to play and so they could provide fantasies to their willing submissives.
The men, Darrell Vanderburg and Marshall Williams, were known to the kink scene as Doms. They both felt that the parties held at various friends’ and playmates’ homes were getting stale and wanted to up the intensity, so they formed C. PB Delight.
Since its beginning, no one knew what the letters meant, and the men intended to keep it that way. If people found out, no one would take them seriously ever again. However, it was in homage to their favorite toy, Penelope, who had passed away after a car accident. After all, even their kind weren’t immune to beheading.
The two men had been devastated and decided to dedicate the club to her and one of her favorite things. After each play party, they had fed her chocolate peanut butter ice cream, which, for one of them, was a strange thing to crave. Hence the initials for the club.
It catered to the high profile and everyday people who wanted a taste of being submissive to the pro-Doms, male, or pro-Dommes, female. Some clients even liked playing role reversal, and they hired paid subs instead.
C. PB Delight was an instant success and setting its location right outside the Vegas strip was nothing short of genius. It allowed people from all over to visit and play, then go gamble and fly home. It was located close enough to the airport for easy access yet far enough away to comply with city regulations.
Chapter One
Balan shook his head in disgust as he looked at his stash of candies. It was running low, and he knew his favorite shop had just closed. Now what the hell am I supposed to do?
“Hey, B. What’s wrong?” Marshall asked as he passed through the locker room.
“Nothin’.” There was no way he was going to tell his boss and friend about the unnatural craving. What normal, self-respecting demon has an addiction for fireballs, anyway?
“Okay, if you say so.” Marshall left after holding the door for Chad and his wife.
“Hey, good lookin’. What’s wrong with you?” JuliAnna asked.
Before Balan could answer, Anais sailed through the doors and answered for him. “He’s out of candy again, I bet.”
“For your information, I’m not out. Just running dangerously low,” he growled.
The others in the room knew better than to laugh. One thing about Balan was that since he was a demon, he could shoot fireballs out of his fingertips and zap you right on the ass, or worse, if you pissed him off.
He grumbled as he went back to work. He knew he’d have to figure something out quick before he actually did run out. He pulled his next fantasy ticket and saw it was a small group of older women out for one of their birthdays. She was turning sixty-five today. He smiled for the first time since finding his stash low. He dressed for the part and entered the room to find three horny women. Oh, shit.
“I am the demon of lust, known as Balan. Who do I find in my presence today?” He stood in front of them dressed in black leather pants, riding boots, and no shirt.
“Oh my God, LerLene! He’s gorgeous!” He stood six foot three, light-brown hair with a goatee to match, and six-pack abs that were on prominent display for the ladies.
“Yeah, you lucky bitch! I wish it was my birthday.”
“Ladies, I told you this was going to be worth the drive. And to think, none of you wanted to come along.” She looked at each of them. “Now, I wish you had stayed in the hotel.”
Balan started his routine and had them eating out of his hand. After the birthday celebration, each lady booked their own private play date. Stephen, the bartender, poured him a drink as he waited for the next one. “Those women have not stopped talking about you since they entered the room. What the hell did you do to them?”
“Those older ones give me a run for my money. That’s for sure.” He laughed and took the drink.
“Well, all I know is they’ve all been praising your talents and telling everybody to book some time with you.”
The men laughed and talked for a while before both had to return to duties. Balan wasn’t in any hurry since his next play date was over an hour away still. He wandered to the reception room and talked with the guests, introducing himself. He was in the middle of a conversation with a couple from Idaho when he felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up as if zapped with electricity.
He spun around, looking over the whole room, but found nothing more than a few new guests. Using his demon powers, he scanned for anything out of the ordinary and hit upon one man standing with his back to the wall.
“Hey, B. What’s up?”
“Chad, do you see the guy at the back of the room, over by the door?”
“Yeah.”
“Does he look familiar?” Balan couldn’t put his finger on it, but there was something about the guy.
“Now that you mention it, yes he does. But where do we know him from?” Chad looked directly at the man.
“I have no idea, but after the trouble with Anais and Wolfe last month, I’d say we need to keep our eyes open.”
“Agreed. Want to go over and talk with the guy, or shall I?” Chad asked.
“Go ahead. Violet is signaling that my next fantasy is here, so I gotta go back to work.” He paused as they started to part ways. “Let me know later.”
“Will do.”
Balan went to get ready and was pleasantly surprised to notice it was a single female, wanting some light bondage and spanking. He was always up for a good round of making a beautiful ass turn red.
Walking into the room, after the client was dressed and ready to play, he grinned from ear to ear. She was a lovely woman, appeared to be in her mid to late forties, and was curvy as hell—just the way he liked them. He was going to enjoy every minute of this fantasy.
“Hello,” he purred at her.
“Um, hi.” She felt nervous.
He walked around her, looking at her from all angles, and grinned again. Oh yeah, I’m going to make this one scream with pleasure. He moved back in front of her and stood with his legs slightly spread. He knew what it did to women, and this one was no exception. He could smell her heat as she started to get turned on.
“I’m Beth, by the way, and you are a very large guy, ya know that? I wasn’t told how big you’d be.” She paused and took a deep breath.
“I’ll get bigger as we go along.” He smiled, showing rows of pointy teeth. He was a demon after all.
“Oh.” She almost fainted.
He caught her and pulled her against his chest, leaned down, and moved as if to kiss her. He watched as her eyes slid closed and her mouth parted slightly. He grinned and pulled away at the last minute and knew the instant she opened her eyes in frustration. “Not yet.”
Beth followed him to the spanking bench and felt her stomach clench in fear and lust. She had been planning for a ye
ar to come here after finding the website online and looking at the reviews. She’d chosen her “date” as soon as she saw his gorgeous face and read his talent list. “What do you want me to do?”
“I have several things on my mind, but for now, I’m going to help you onto the bench, and I think we’ll start with a good warm up.”
Chapter Two
Balan spent the next two hours bringing Beth to the boiling point only to let her down, holding off that final push to completion. By the time her session was up, she’d had multiple orgasms for the very first time in her life. Balan left her with a huge smile, after providing the aftercare that each good session required. And his were all good sessions. He made sure of it, and besides, he loved the aftercare as much as the date itself.
When he finally emerged, he found a message from Wolfe and Chad. Both had checked into the guest, and Balan’s presence was required in D’s office. He put on street clothes and grabbed a piece of candy to pop into his mouth on his way to talk to his boss and friends. He was curious to see what had happened in his absence. Then I’m heading out to find an all-night candy store, dammit. “You wanted to see me?”
“Hey, B. How was your shift?” Marshall asked.
“Pretty damned good actually. Had a hell of a time with some older ladies out for a birthday bash and the last fantasy was prime.” He grinned from ear to ear, remembering her screams of pleasure.
“Good. Good. Hey, Chad told me about the guy you two saw. Can you describe him or point him out on the cameras?”
“I sure can.” He knew Marshall was done talking about anything but the stranger, especially after the bullshit that had happened to Anais. He leaned over to look at the laptop and watched the sped-up video tape. “There!” Balan pointed at the dark figure standing by the door.
Marshall blew up the image but couldn’t get a clear shot of the man. “Damn. I was hoping we’d be able to see a face.”
“If I see him again, I’ll go up to him and introduce myself.”
“Oh, I can just see that now.” Marshall laughed as he closed the program. “So, tell me, how are things going in the new annex? Now that you’ve had time to get used to your room, is it working well for you? Do we need to make any changes?”
“The layout is perfect, and I love how the client is brought to the room by one of the subs. Gets them in the mood quicker.” Balan sat, and they talked for a while. Before long, he could tell Marshall wanted to get back to the cameras and watch for the stranger, so Balan took his leave after telling the man good night.
He went down to the reception area to see if Chad was there, but when he didn’t find him, he figured he’d catch up to him later the next evening. It wasn’t like Chad or JuliAnna would be out during the day. They were vampires after all.
“Hey, B. How was your night?”
“Hey, Wolfe. It was pretty good. How are things with the new wife?” Balan was scanning the crowd.
“You using your ‘spidey senses’ to find the oddball that was here earlier?”
“Yeah, something like that. You didn’t answer my question. Trouble in paradise?”
“I hate some of her clients is all. She knows it and ignores me. Hell, it’s how she almost ended up as Khobrel’s first victim, because she doesn’t listen to me.” He grumbled under his breath.
“Yeah, women are hardheaded as hell,” Balan said, agreeing with a chuckle. At times he envied Chad and Wolfe. They’d found their forever loves, and he had often wondered if there was a woman out there for a demon like himself. As a rule, demons didn’t take brides, but working alongside the group at C. PB Delight made him rethink his life from time to time. “Well, let me know if anything else weird happens today. I’ll catch up with you all tonight when I come back on duty.”
“Sure thing. Have a good sleep.” Wolfe walked off to find his wife.
The door opened as he walked toward it and stopping him in his tracks. The most beautiful woman he’d ever seen had just entered the club. She had a white aura around her as if covered in a pure light of protection. She wasn’t very tall, maybe five foot two, but had long, dark-brown hair clear to the bottom of her back and curves in all the right places. She took his breath away and made him horny as hell.
The woman turned and looked straight at him. She smiled and waved. Just as he was raising his arm, he felt someone brush past and quickly pulled his arm back down. She wrapped her arms around Louis, Anais’s younger brother, and hugged him tightly. Balan felt an instant rage overtake him when he watched them embrace. He wanted nothing more than to beat the living shit out the younger man and make him stop touching the beautiful woman he wanted to touch himself.
He watched as they walked off in the direction of the bar, arm in arm, and growled. He felt his inner demon fighting to come out and barely managed to push it back down. He must have been giving off bad vibes because Wolfe and Darrell Vanderburg both came up to grab an arm and steer him into the back room.
“What the hell was that all about?” Darrell asked.
“Let me go. I’m calmed down,” Balan said.
They released him and stepped back.
“Hey, man, you okay?” Wolfe asked.
Balan could see the concern in both their eyes, which did the trick in draining the last of his anger. “I have no idea what just happened. One minute I’m walking out the door. The next I see the most beautiful woman in the world walk in, and when she hugged Anais’s brother, I wanted to kill the little bastard for touching her.”
“Oh, shit,” Darrell said. “Make sure your wife keeps Louis on a leash for a while.”
“Yeah, that might be a good idea,” Wolfe said and left the room to find said wife.
“Hey, I apologize about how I acted, but what the fuck was that all about?” Balan asked.
Chapter Three
“Listen, B. I think maybe you need a day or two off. You seem a bit on edge. Hey, go find a new candy shop and get your stash replenished, okay?” Darrell told him.
“I’m not on edge,” he told his boss.
Marshall chose that time to walk into the locker room. “I’ve been looking for you both. Follow me.”
They walked back up the steps to his office, where he had the laptop facing the door. Marshall brought up the picture he wanted to show the others and waited to see if either man noticed what he’d found just a short time ago.
“Oh, damn.” Darrell saw it first. “How did you get the image so clear?”
“New program I received from an old friend in the government.” Marshall grinned. “Is this the same man you saw in the lounge?” he asked Balan.
“Yes, it is, and why do I have a feeling it’s also the same one who’s been threatening the club?”
“Because I’m afraid it might be.” He sighed and sat. “We don’t know enough to make any obvious conclusions, and if he’s another entity, then he could have the capability of changing his identity on the surface.”
“What can do that easily?” Darrell asked. He knew of one or two. Hell, he was one of those who could, but none of the employees needed to know that.
“I have a list started, but I have a feeling it won’t be anything on there,” Marshall said and added, “This guy is something different, and unless he screws up, we might never know what he is.”
Balan knew there wasn’t anything else he could do, so he told them good night and left. Instead of going back through the main part of the club, he went out the employee entrance. He didn’t encounter anybody and was on the road within minutes. He rolled the windows down, cranked the stereo, and drove into the city.
He pulled into the parking lot of a nice little restaurant and went inside, ordered food, and started doing some research for a local place to cater to his one bad habit. He found several and rejected them all. Why are they all big box stores? I hate those things. Where are all the small, individually owned places?
He ate and grumbled to himself so much, the waitress kept coming over to make sure his food was okay
until he finally wolfed down the rest, paid, tipped the poor girl, and left. He’d found one store to check out in all of Vegas.
The building was one of those nondescript things that looked like it had once been part of a much larger strip mall. With the city growing like it was, those strip malls were being torn down to make room for bigger structures, which was not necessarily better in his opinion. He hopped out and walked up to the door but found it locked. “Well, fuck.” He growled and looked around to make sure no one had heard him.
“Hey, mister? You lookin’ for the candy shop that used to be there?”
Balan hadn’t heard anybody come up behind him and was startled. He whirled around and saw a little old woman hanging onto a shopping cart. He immediately recognized her as homeless. “Yes, ma’am. Do you know why the door is locked in the middle of the morning?”
“Yeah. They’re closed. Permanently.”
“Oh. Well thank you, ma’am.” He started to walk away but then thought better of it and moved up to her. “Please accept this with my gratitude for the help you just gave me.” He handed her a couple hundred dollars. It was all he had on him in cash.
She took it and smiled. “You’re an angel, young man.”
He smiled back and went toward his car. If she only knew… I’m definitely no angel.
She shouted for him to stop.
“Yes, ma’am?”
“The new owner moved over to Russell, in that new plaza.”
“Thank you again,” he called out and hopped into the car to head to the new location. He was feeling lighthearted suddenly, even though the drive was horrible. It was one of the many times a year when conventions were in town. His favorite by far was the adult video awards, and he loved it when they were in town. The parties were fantastic!
Balan was singing along with the radio when he pulled up to a stop light and had to wait. He glanced at the car beside him and almost hit the horn to gain the attention of the beautiful woman he’d seen at the club. He thought better of it and decided to follow her instead, abandoning the candy shop for the time being.
