Ted smiled “Are you OK with that? Is that enough?”

Daisy nodded “You’re like my lesbian lover. Not a threat to him unless you stop being a girl”

Ted nodded, “Does that mean we have to stop seeing each other?”

He paused for a minute as they walked.

Ted smiled, “I like what we have been doing.

Daisy sighed with relief “So do I!”

Ted grinned, “Good, so we can keep doing what we’ve been doing.”

  Daisy nodded, “Yes”

Ted grinned a mile wide, “I think I can live with that!”

Daisy couldn’t believe her luck; she was going to be able to keep her lesbian lover.

Two days later, Daisy hadn’t shown up for dinner. Ted went to her room and knocked on the door.

Daisy hugged Ted and started crying “Tommy just joined the NAVY. He’ll be gone for two years”

Ted held her close “Tell me all about it.” and gave her a hug.

Daisy cried as she told how Tommy had decided to join the Navy. He also said that if he found out that Ted had boy-sex with Daisy, he would hunt them both down and kill them when he came home on leave. Ted just held her and let her cry, John Denver’s “Lady Are You Crying” was playing on auto repeat.

Ted just let her talk and cry, say what she needed to say. A few times he just told her how wonderful she was and tried to help boost her self-esteem. He didn’t try to start anything sexually, just held her, hugged her, kissed her head, and said nice things to her about herself.

Eventually, Daisy asked Ted to go. “I just need to be alone for a while.”

Daisy realized that Ted had listened like a woman would, he let her talk, let her process, let her cry, but didn’t try to fix it, or solve it. Ted was a treasure.

She would somehow have to tell Ted that she was sleeping with other men. But how could she keep him once he knew? What was it about Ted that was irresistible? He did wonderful things, but he wasn’t well hung. He wasn’t masculine at all. In fact, the more time she spent with Ted, the more feminine he seemed to be. Even in the bedroom, she seduced him, told him what she wanted. Just like a guy would tell a girl.

For almost a week, Daisy mourned her loss, Ted would often come in and hold her and listen and let her say what she needed to say that day. Gradually, she went through the stages of grief. Ted just listened and loved.

A few days later, Daisy invited Ted to her room. “My room is bigger, and I have some things I need there.”

Ted smiled “Sure, my room is a little cramped.”

When they got to Daisy’s room, Daisy started to strip. Ted noticed that she was wearing a plum satin bra and matching panties. “Those are lovely, so beautiful.”

Daisy smiled “I’ll leave them on for now. You can take them off later if you want.”

Ted started to caress Daisy’s back, slowly, gently. In seconds, Daisy was covered in goosebumps. She leaned into Ted. “I never want this to end.”

Ted smiled, nodded, kissed her neck and traced the outline of her bra with his fingers. No rush, no push to get to the big event, and Ted’s teasing seemed to be even more drawn out and intense. For Daisy, knowing that this didn’t have to end in sexual intercourse meant that she could enjoy it and give in to her desires. For Ted, there was no longer the pressure of having to do something he didn’t know if he could do.

When Ted did finally begin stroking Daisy’s breasts through the satin bra, he imagined what it felt like, to have breasts, to be wearing such a lovely bra, and to have someone stroking breasts under the satin. He began to imagine that he was in her body, that he could feel the sensations she was feeling.

Still behind her, Ted reached down to Daisy’s panties. He felt very gently, then found the mound he was looking for. He caressed her through the panties. Her breath was getting more rapid, deeper, more excited. He teased her with his fingernail and smiled as she moaned.

With no pressure to “perform”, Ted was getting into the experience. He enjoyed pleasing Daisy and making the pleasure as extreme as possible. He took his time, savoring every moan, every grunt, every breath.

Daisy had had enough teasing. She turned around and pushed him to the bed. She held his mouth to one of her breasts, Ted began to suck it gently, while caressing the other with his fingernail through the bra. Daisy reached back and unhooked the bra and let it fall.

Ted took more care with the naked breasts. He knew they would be more sensitive, so he was very gentle with both his hands and his mouth. He could hear Daisy’s pleasure and he could tell she was having her first small peak.

Daisy had enough teasing. She pushed Ted’s head down. Ted got to his knees and Daisy sat on the bed. Ted started gentle, but when Daisy grabbed his head and closed her legs, trapping his head where she wanted it, Ted got more aggressive. The time for teasing had passed, and now was the time for as much pleasure as he could give her.

Daisy couldn’t believe how exciting it was. She wanted to squeal with delight and yet she wanted to fight the pleasure, making it last as long as she could. When she felt the next wave of pleasure, she realized that she might pass out, but she didn’t care. After five more climaxes, each peak more intense than the one before, she DID pass out.

Ted had found a special kind of satisfaction and pleasure in giving so much pleasure to Daisy. When she passed out, Ted realized that she might need support. He lay down next to her and held her in his arms.

Daisy was only out for 10 minutes, and when she came to she was disoriented, scared. Would Ted take advantage of her? Then she realized that Ted was holding her, he was still fully clothed, he was smiling. Seeing that smile was just what she needed. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him as close and as tight as she could. Ted seemed to understand and hugged her back.

Daisy was overwhelmed. She began to cry, to shake, to quiver. Ted held her even closer.

Ted gave her a gentle squeeze “Are you alright? You passed out and now you’re crying. What do you need?

Daisy said, “Hold me like you’ll never let me go!”

Ted recognized the words of Leaving on a Jet plane. “As long as you like.”

They held each other for almost two hours. Ted listened as Daisy described her life, how she met Tommy, and how she wanted to be in theater. Ted didn’t just idly listen, he asked questions, asked her to explain things, and smiled and nodded.

Daisy got up to get dressed. “I love what you do to me, I could easily love you. You need to leave now”

Ted stood up. “Yes, that’s true. I could easily love you too. You are a wonderful woman, I’m so glad we got together.

As Ted left, Daisy began to cry. She loved Ted, but she had to pay her tuition, and her plan required that she raise that money by getting men to pay her for sex. She knew that Air Force cadets would come to the college on the weekends, and there were several rich Arabs and Persians who would pay well for a night with her. Ted would hate her if he found out that she was having sex with other men, but not with him. Tommy thought he could handle it, but he lost it as soon as he found out about Ted.

Ted had gone back to his room. He had gotten fully dressed. He’d put together a modest outfit, a few items from the goodwill bag at home, a few items from the laundry at school. He had even summoned up the courage to buy some panties at Target. The clerk didn’t make any smart remarks. He had also purchased some pantyhose at Kmart.

He got dressed and imagined that Daisy was seducing him. He imagined himself being pushed onto the bed, being pushed to please her. But if Daisy knew the truth, would she still want him? Until he knew, his secret had to be kept from everyone.

Ted started to imagine that he was a girl he had seen that day. Wearing a flared skirt, a satin blouse with cap sleeves and a sweetheart collar. She imagined Daisy kissing her, forcing her against the wall, taking control. He teased himself for almost an hour before finally giving into the fantasy, frustrated that it had to end just as it got so wonderful. He hated that
.

Ted cried for a few minutes. He so wanted to stop hiding, to let HER come out and play, but he didn’t even know who SHE was. All he knew was that SHE had to be hidden, protected. If she came out at the wrong time, she would be attacked, humiliated, brutalized, kicked, punched, maybe even go to the hospital again. There was no way he could risk that again.

Finally, he went back to his desk, still dressed, and began to do homework. He stayed focused, wrote his report, studied his lines for a scene he had to perform, and practiced the song he had to sing for his weekly juries.

Finally, he changed back into his boy clothes and went to see his scene partner. She was in the girl’s dorm and was expecting him at 9PM. He didn’t want to be late because neither of them had a lot of time to spare.

  Anna

Ted knocked on Anna’s door. She opened it a crack, saw his face, and threw it wide open. “TED, so good to see you. You’re two minutes early, come on in. She shut the door behind her. She was wearing jeans and a tight T-shirt. He could see the bra straps because the shirt was so tight. Was this for his benefit? They had work to do, and they needed to get started.

Ted and Anna ran through the scene. He was playing a bitter old man with a drinking problem, and she was playing his wife. They ran it 3 times. Ted had the lines memorized, Anne only needed a few queues. The scene would be ready for performance in 2 days. If they kept rehearsing.

Anna pulled two diet colas out of her mini-fridge, and they just spent some time talking. Anne liked talking to Ted, because he listened. She noticed that he never stared at her breasts like most guys did. In fact, he spent more time looking at her boots than her boobs. Yet the gay guys had told her that Ted never seemed interested in any of them either. It seemed that Ted wasn’t interested in anybody, sexually at least.

There was a knock on the door. Anne checked the door, then opened it. It was Sherry, a friend from her music class. They were doing a duet together in pop singing class.

Anne watched Ted as he took in the mid-thigh skirt, three-inch heels, and satin blouse. For several seconds, he seemed to want to say something, a compliment, something nice. Then he focused on Sherry’s face and simply told her, “That’s a lovely outfit, a beautiful combination on you”, then he started asking about the duet, asked to hear them sing. Anne had a beautiful soprano voice and Sherry had a wonderful mezzo voice. After hearing them sing together, he made some suggestions. They ran it again and realized that it sounded much better.

Ted looked at his watch. “It’s 10 PM, I guess I need to leave. No boys allowed after 10.”

Anne and Sherry just looked at each other and giggled. Anne chirped “Ted honey, you’re just one of the girls to us. We know you won’t try anything.”

Sherry giggled “You really are one of us. You’re nothing like the guys they are trying to keep out. You can stick around and help us more with the duet.

Ted smiled wistfully. Should he tell them? He looked a bit like a girl. He was wearing jeans, but they were cut for his wider hips and thinner waist, and his shirt had been tailored to show his waist. He hated those pup-tents that men wore. Did they know? Would they accept him if they did? He so wanted to tell them, but just the thought of it made him freeze.

Sherry saw the panic. “It’s OK honey, we’re not making fun of you, we just like you. You’re polite, and you treat us as as equals, even taking our coaching sometimes. What are you singing?”

Ted pulled the cassette out of his bag. Anne popped it in, and he started to sing. His baritone voice sounded beautiful, but so sad. When he came to the lower notes, he seemed as if he were about to cry, then he finished the song. “Not great, right?”

Sherry tried to build him up. “You have a beautiful voice. Perhaps you should lighten the tone a bit, during the low section, just do it a bit more softly.”

Ted tried it again, it sounded better, but still very sad. Ted didn’t dare tell them how much he hated his bass voice. At the end, he smiled, and using his high speaking voice, said “Yes!! That is MUCH nicer, almost pretty. I’ll work on that later.”

He grabbed his bag and started for the door. The girls could see his girlish figure from behind!

Anne stopped him “We were going to make hot chocolate, would you like some?”

Ted smiled and turned “OK, I have dance class tomorrow, I can dance it off.”

They sat on the bed and chatted for another 30 minutes. They talked about their classes, their friends, their work-study efforts, and then about boys. Ted smiled as they talked about how cute Michael Gold was, and how hot Mike Donner was. Ted smiled “They are cute, and Mike Gold is really great, but Mike Donner is a bit Macho and sexist. Still, I can see why you like him. JT is available. Check him out.”

Sherry finally turned to Ted “OK, so who gets you excited? I’ve seen you with Daisy, but I can’t tell what’s going on with you two. You flirt shamelessly, but she seems to like to play the field?”

Ted giggled “I don’t kiss and tell! That would be rude!”

They all giggled together. Ted left at about 10:30. He had to use the main exit, but the security person at the door just smiled. “Hi Ted, going back to the other dorm?” She could have written him up, but apparently, everybody on the dorm had decided Ted was pretty much harmless.

The next day, Ted got up at 6 AM to do a scene over breakfast. He had left by the time Daisy arrived.

Daisy took a seat at a table by herself. Soon, Anne, Sherry, and Shannon were joining her.

Sherry started “So Daisy, what’s up with Ted? I’ve seen you flirting with each other shamelessly, and yet he doesn’t seem interested in girls?”

Daisy smiled “Those are such lovely earrings Anne, where did you get them?”

Sherry recognized the girl code “OK, we’ll honor what you have together, but I’m dying to know his story”

Daisy smiled a coy smile “A lady doesn’t kiss and tell! That would be rude!”

Annie and Sherry started laughing loudly, covering their mouths.

Daisy was puzzled “What’s so Funny?”

Sherrie finally spoke “That’s almost EXACTLY what he told us last night!”

All four of them started giggling some more.

Daisy thought “I’m beginning to think I’ve got a prize here. I’d hate to spoil it.”

  Dancing

Dance class was one of Ted’s favorite classes. He loved being able move gracefully and not have to worry about anybody making fun of him. There was only one other guy in the class and he was very nice.

Ted also didn’t have to worry about how he dressed. He wore girl’s tights, dance pants, and a wrap-top leotard over his tights. With his dance belt, he was completely flat below. His tiny waist and large hips made him look like another one of the girls. It was a modern dance class. They started with some floor work, then spent 20 minutes at the barre, and finally, they worked on combinations.

Ted was having so much fun with the combinations that he lost track of time. He had to get to his pop singing class. There was no time to change. He just threw on his shirt and jeans over the dance-wear and ran down four flights of stairs as fast as he could.

When he got to the singing class, he quickly and quietly took his seat, quietly and gracefully doing a curtsy into the seat. Only then did he realize that his wrap top was visible under the shirt. He was also still wearing his ballet slippers. Hopefully people would understand.

Annie and Sherry did their duet. The teacher Lynn Sullivan, gave them a couple of compliments, saying she liked some of the things they were doing together. They told her that Ted had given them those suggestions.

Even though Ted wasn’t scheduled to sing, he was called up to sing. Without hesitancy, he gave the music to the pianist, and went through his song. Somehow, it seemed brighter, sweeter. The sadness was gone; the pain wasn’t there. It was even beautiful. Ted realized that he was singing in his feminine rehearsal voice, rather than trying to make the big bass sound his voice teacher wanted him to
use.

The class even clapped when it was over. The teacher was thrilled. “I want to hear more of THAT from now on. I don’t care if you come down in a tutu to get it. I want more.”

That’s’ when Ted looked down, he could see that his dance leotard was showing, the wrap showing through the thin fabric of the tight-fitting button-down shirt, the top buttons still undone. He smiled sheepishly “I didn’t have time to change after dance class”.

The teacher smiled. “That’s fine. Keep singing more like that and you’ll do very well indeed.”

After class, Anne and Sherry gave him a big hug, and he hugged back. “Will you coach us again?”

Ted smiled “I’d love to. Maybe you can give me some more pointers too.”

One of the guys, Larry Yates, gave him a big hug too. Not the kind of hug a guy gives another guy, the kind a guy gives a girl. Ted melted into his arms and hugged him back. Even their knees were touching.

“That was really beautiful. I’d love to hear more as well.”

The afternoon went smoothly enough. Ted worked on the stage crew. It was the only place where he had to deal with “men”, guys who were big and strong and muscular. For the most part, the stage crew was the one place that had about a dozen heterosexual masculine men. Of course, they noticed the leotard under the shirt immediately. Mike teased “Are you sure you don’t belong in the costume shop?”

Ted smiled, “Yeah, I’d probably like it there too, but you guys are so nice to me that I just can’t bear the thought of not hanging out with you.”

Ted had been through the hazing his freshman year, they had given him, and another guy named Eddie the dirtiest job possible, cleaning out the paint well. It was four feet deep in urine-soaked sawdust, excrement, and dead animals. Ted later learned that all the sawdust was pushed into the well at the end of the day, and the fly crew, who had to use bare hands against hemp rope had to pee on their hands to dissolve the rope slivers, so their hands wouldn’t blister. Ted had even worked ropes crew for one show and had to pee on his own hands. It was disgusting, but it did relieve the burning in his hands. Ted finished the job, and with a big smile on his face said “OK, that was fun, what next!” Eddie complained to the technical director and was offered a job in the costume shop. The next show was going to require a very sturdy set, so everybody was welding the metal platforms together. Ted got a pair of goggles and started to work. After about 3 hours of non-step welding, he was sure he was sunburned.
