Little Deaths Page 4

I leaned over and put the bud of her nipple in my mouth. She moaned and pulled out my cock, stroking it as I teased her breast with the tip of my tongue.

“Take me now—I want you inside me!”

I straightened my posture and grabbed her right thigh, hiking it up by my hip. I held it there and pushed the full length of my hard cock into her tight, warm pussy.

“Oh fuck, you feel so good,” I told her. Her juices gushed around the circumference of my shaft.

“Yes! Fuck me, daddy!” She dug her nails into my back as I pumped into her, shoving her against the shower wall. She hooked her foot behind me and took a daring hop to throw her left leg around me as well. Luckily I caught her before she fell, my hands under her ass now, holding her in place as I thrust into her. I felt a surge of energy swelling in my balls.

“I’m gonna come, baby,” I told her.

  “Yes, daddy! Come for me!”

I exploded into her, a powerful release of all the stress and tension that had been building all day. She squeezed her legs around me and held me against her.

She gasped for air as her own orgasm flooded through her. Her body quaked and shook with the momentum of her climax. I felt her nails break the skin on my back. Her eyes rolled back in her head before her entire body went limp with post-orgasm release.

I set her down gently and kissed her forehead. We stood under the water like that until the shower went cold, holding each other, knowing that everything was going to be OK.

  Better than OK.

For once in my life, I was actually looking forward to the future.

  Epilogue

  VANESSA

Somehow, against all odds, Sawyer’s plan worked. Gallo’s family controlled the area, thanks to Sawyer intel, and the mob boss honored his word. No one bothered us, and Sawyer was truly out of the criminal world for good.

I graduated in the fall. Summa cum laude, no less! Sawyer was endlessly proud of me, which was more rewarding than the accolade itself.

We sent money to my sister each week. Slowly, she climbed out of debt. Sawyer had been smart about his contracts, stashing away the majority of what he earned. She even made it to my graduation ceremony.

After tossing my cap into the air and posing for a million pictures, I walked with Sawyer, hand in hand, back to his car. Looking at him on that day, it was hard to believe he’d been a stone cold killer not that long ago.

Instead of a blood-stained Armani suit, he was in a casual button-down that stretched nicely around his still chiseled muscles. And, to top it all off, he was smiling.

  Beaming, actually.

As soon as we got in the car, I climbed onto his lap and kissed him.

“Guess what?” I said, unable to keep my hands off him.

  “What’s that?”

“I’m not wearing any panties underneath this gown.” He got hard as I rocked my hips playfully.

“As tempted as I am to take advantage of that fact, I’m pretty sure this parking lot is about to be flooded with families.”

I climbed off of him, laughing. “I guess you’ll just have to wait, then.”

“I guess so. But there are some things,” he said, grinning as he pulled something out of his pocket, “I just can’t wait for any longer.”

He opened the ring box and the biggest diamond I’ve ever seen sparkled in the sunlight. “Vanessa, will you marry me?”

I threw my hands over my mouth and screamed.

  “Is...that a yes?” he asked.

  “Yes! Yes, yes, yes!”

He lid the ring on my finger. Tears streamed down my face. My heart was fluttering so fast I could hardly think.

“Well,” he said, “this is your big day. What do you want to do now?”

I took a deep breath to calm down and think about his question.

“OK,” I said, “I’ve got an idea.”

Two hours later, we found ourselves in a rented cabin on a private section of the lake. Per my request, we stripped off all our clothes and went skinny dipping. The water was cool and refreshing on my naked skin. That last time I did this, I met the man of my dreams. Granted, he was assassinating someone at the time, but hey, nobody’s perfect.

As we splashed around in the water, laughing and playing and making love, the sun set majestically behind the trees. Sawyer held me tight, and together we watched the sky glow with the most beautiful colors either of us had ever seen.
