“Josephine, do you take Connor to be your husband. To honor and respect him, loving him with all that is in you?”
“Yes, I do. I will honor this man with my love as long as I shall live.”
“I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride.”
Connor took her in his arms and kissed her with tender passion. “I love you, Josey Stark.”
She smiled at him. “I love you, Connor. I think I always did.”
They walked down the aisle and accepted all the congratulations. Then they boarded a train. They were bound for Baltimore where Nurse Harrow and Doc Runyon had helped place Connor in medical school.
She waved at their friends, and at Joseph Stark who proudly waved back.
Dr. Runyon shouted. “You better come back here.”
Connor laughed. “We’ll be back. After all, we have family here.”
Josey leaned against her husband and waved to her friends and family. She turned to Connor. “Let’s go inside.”
Connor picked up her bag and Josey shoved open the door to the train car. She heard the clatter of dishes and looked at Connor.
“It’s all right.” He opened the door and saw the conductor.
“I didn’t see anyone, and that door slammed right into me and broke my coffee cup.”
Connor stood between him and Josey. “I’ll get you another one. Let’s find our car, Josey.”

Author’s note from Patricia PacJac Carroll – I hope you enjoyed Josey and Connor’s story. I hated to see their story end. Who knows the adventures they’ll have and what Josey might break in the future? Love is so romantic and fulfilling though. And who knows but I think Joseph Stark will find someone to love now, too.
I know, it’s just a story. But I like my characters. Lol
I hope you are enjoying the series. I will have another story in this Series.
A Nurse for Fallon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087QM79BX Coming August 20, 2020 and on Preorder now.
Adelaide ‘Addie’ Sherman - A star student at the school for nursing, graduates and is sent to Kansas at the request of Dr. Baker for a patient – Fallon, a card sharp, who is in a coma after having a fight with a wealthy rancher’s son – Charles Walker. If Fallon dies, Charles could go to prison for life or be hung.
Only if Fallon regains consciousness can he tell the real story about what happened and clear Charles.
Adelaide will fall in love with one of these men. LOL Which one do you think will win her heart?
Be sure to check all the books in the Nursing the Heart Romance Series. All the books are stand alone and while in the same series they are not connected with one another.
