“Okay then.” Isaiah met his eyes, sighed. “You look amazing.”
“Thank you. You look very tasty.” He let his gaze wander.
The room was insane. Clothes were strewn everywhere, the mirror broken, his boy in nothing but a thin robe. Lord. Jameson gave up waiting. This was an emergency. Time to hunt.
“I’m choosing an outfit. You should go and let me dress.” Isaiah vibrated for him.
“We have far too long for that.” He glided across the room.
“Go on. Shoo.”
Shoo. Oh God, he wanted to laugh. He didn’t. “No, love. No shoo. I want to give you something to wear under your party kit.”
“I—” Isaiah need flowed to him, those eyes wide and shining. “You can’t…”
“Shhh.” He reached up to press his fingers to Isaiah’s lips. “Arguing just wastes time you could be over my lap.”
He worked the tie to Isaiah’s robe open. He’d use it to protect his suit. The robe, not the tie. The tie he would use to bind his boy’s hands.
He slowly backed toward the fancy chaise in Isaiah’s dressing room, and his beloved boy followed with nothing more than the gentle tugging on the robe.
Come, sweet. I can make it better. He wanted to be toppy, but he always wanted Isaiah to know he would never do anything Isaiah didn’t want.
I don’t want to ruin anything. I’m so nervous.
That’s why I’m here. He sat on that bench, then drew Isaiah across his lap face down. “Hands behind your head.”
“I can’t.”
“You can. Fight all you need to.” How lovely. He was so very lucky.
“I— No!” Isaiah did fight him when he grabbed one hand, then looped the tie around the wrist. Not hard, but enough he could say he tried.
That long cock was rigid against him, though. So perfect.
“Sweet boy. Let your fear out. I have you.”
“No.” Isaiah kicked and roared. “I’m not afraid. I’m strong!”
Good man. “You are. Strong. Brave. Mine.”
“Yes!” Isaiah presented his other hand.
Love. So amazing. Mine. So proud.
Isaiah’s flush was bright, red, making him glow. It worked down his neck and back, and Jameson could see it on his asscheeks too.
“Relax, love. Let me give you something to wear.” He finished tying those hands, loving the long, lean line of Isaiah’s spine. That tight ass was round, firm, just waiting for him.
He laid the first blow down, the sweet, pale skin showing white, then red.
“Jameson!” Isaiah gasped out his name, squirming.
“Yes, love?” He laid down another swat.
“You’re spanking me.”
Jameson wanted to laugh, but Isaiah would find that mean, he would bet. “I am. You need it.” He slapped again, alternating cheeks. “You need to settle and know I’m with you, constantly.”
“I— oh, please.”
His boy was such a natural. “Yes. You see? This will put you in the perfect place for tonight.”
Then, when it was over, they’d play.
“More.” Now Isaiah was rocking into each blow, demanding what he needed.
“Good boy. So good. All I have.” He whaled on his lover’s pale, fine ass.
“Yes.” That long, lean body arched, Isaiah radiating pure joy, utter need.
Even when his hand began to sting and throb, Isaiah begged for more. He slowed his swats, knowing he had to get his lover dressed for the party before an hour was up.
“Jameson. No.” Isaiah wiggled, rubbing madly.
“Ah-ah.” He lifted Isaiah up for a kiss. “No coming now. After.”
“Jameson!”
He grabbed Isaiah’s hips. “No, love. After. As many times as you want.”
Isaiah groaned. “So mean to me.”
“No. I’m giving you what will get you through tonight.” He sat Isaiah up. His boy leaned into him, breathing nice and slow.
“Kiss me, at least?”
“Of course.” He kissed Isaiah’s mouth, slow and deep, making a promise to be right there. Now he had to get his lover up and dressed for his party. “Where’s the gray turtleneck, love?”
“The what?”
“The gray turtleneck you tried on. It’s just the thing.”
“How do you know?” Isaiah shot him a look, but retrieved a deep gray turtleneck, dove gray slacks.
“Yes. Oh, yes. No underwear, though. The wool should touch your skin,” Jameson commanded.
“What?”
He adored that blush. Adored it.
“You heard me.” He caressed that glowing behind. “I want you to feel what I did. It will heal too fast as it is. I’ll build a muscle keeping you burning.”
Isaiah dressed quickly, cheeks on fire. His lover was solemn in the gray, hair stern and pulled back. He looked like a leader, his eyes no longer wild around the edges. Isaiah looked confident that Jameson had his back, at least.
“You look amazing, lover. Fierce.”
“Thank you. I just want this over.”
“What’s the objective tonight?” Jameson wanted to be forewarned.
“You’ll be sized up by the family, and you’ll get a bunch of growls and snarls, watch out for anyone who tries to fascinate you.”
“I’m actually pretty good at avoiding the hoodoo stank eye.” Glamours rarely worked on him. It was a thing.
“The hoodoo stank eye. I like that. I’m exceptional at avoiding it.”
“Then together we’ll be unbeatable.” He pinched Isaiah’s ass through his pants.
“Ow!” Isaiah jumped, shivered, then looked up at him. “That was no fair, love.”
“All’s fair. I need just as badly as you.”
“When we’re done,” Isaiah looked him in the eye. “You can come as much as you want.”
“We both will, darling boy. You have my word.” They would indulge as long as they wanted.
“And you have mine.” Isaiah took his hand. “Do I need jewels or no?”
“I think this just being family meeting me, we say no.” Too formal.
“Fair enough.” Isaiah glanced at him. “I look good?”
He gave Isaiah a sizzling once over. “You look amazing. Edible to me. Authoritative to others.”
“Grown up and a leader, right?”
“Absolutely, though I’m your best accessory.” He winked. He was serious, though. He would be cool, calm, and it would be implied that if Isaiah could lead someone like him, then he could lead the family.
“You are. You look amazing, and I’m proud to introduce you to your new clan.”
Oh.
Oh, those words filled him with a wild, fierce pride.
“Thank you, love.” He reached up to touch Isaiah’s cheek. He’d never been a part of anything before. Isaiah nuzzled into his touch and smiled, his lover relaxed for him.
“Ready?” He asked, and moments later, Diego knocked on the door.
“It’s time for your entrance. The clan is here and beside themselves.”
Isaiah grinned at Diego. “Good. They’re so much easier to control that way.”
“Yes, sir. Good luck, Mr. Jameson.”
“Thank you, Diego.”
Isaiah smiled at him. “Let’s do this.”
Isaiah led him out into the ballroom, a good thirty perfectly dressed and coiffed vampires looking to them as they walked through the door. Good thing he didn’t suffer from anxiety. Jameson figured he just wasn’t smart enough to worry after all he’d survived.
Isaiah didn’t say a word. He simply walked to the center of the room and brought Jameson to a dowager of a woman.
Jameson took his cue from Isaiah, standing a foot behind the man’s right shoulder and watching.
“Jameson, this is my aunt Bedelia.”
“Madame.” He inclined his head, but he got the feeling he wasn’t meant to touch.
“Jameson, hmm? Isaiah, you have a paramour and you didn’t bring me here to meet him first
?”
“I didn’t. I’ve been keeping him busy.”
Jameson smiled slightly, dipping his head. He kept his eyes down, but moved half an inch closer to Isaiah.
Isaiah hummed softly, and the look on his boy’s face was slightly hungry, totally cool.
Yeah, this was a roll Jameson could play in his sleep.
“What clan are you from, Jameson?” the old lady asked.
“I wasn’t born, madame. I was made.” He waited for the chorus of gasps.
“Isaiah!”
His boy looked down his nose, lip curling. “Are you questioning my decision? Is anyone?”
They all backed away half a step. “Of course not, son,” one of the older men said, and Isaiah’s expression turned dark.
“I am not your son. I am the head of this family.” Isaiah’s voice was ice. “My father left the care of the clan in my hands.”
“Of course. We seem to be misstepping tonight. May I introduce myself to your consort?” At Isaiah’s nod, the older vamp bowed his head. “I am Zenith. Isaiah’s mother was my cousin.”
“Jameson. Pleased to meet you. I look forward to knowing the family.” They seemed desperate just to believe that Isaiah had this under control.
“And we getting to know you.” The old man showed a little fang. “Shall we have a drink, Isaiah?”
Isaiah lifted his finger and, like magic, servers appeared with wine glasses. “Of course, Uncle.”
Jameson took the glass Diego handed him once they were being passed around, then tasted it. He waited several seconds before passing it to Isaiah. That was part of the consort’s job.
Isaiah took it and drank deep. Thank you, love.
You’re welcome. I really am here to be your consort.
You’re lovely. “Come, Jameson. Everyone deserves to meet my right hand.”
Jameson nodded, taking the hand Isaiah offered, then allowed himself to be paraded in front of the crowd, memorizing faces and names.
Isaiah was remarkably good at this, handling the social niceties easily. He’d really expected awkwardness.
Then again, he could feel Isaiah’s thoughts, which became increasingly agitated, especially when he met a vampire as young as he was, one with dark red hair and brown eyes and a sly way about him.
“This is a cousin,” Isaiah said dismissively, not even saying a name. He’s Damian. He wants me out.
Jameson nodded in the man’s direction, but never met his gaze, effectively cutting the man dead.
He thinks I’m stupid and weak. Ugly.
Well, then he’s the stupid one. His boy was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen.
Isaiah’s chin lifted, and he kept moving, but Jameson could read the relaxation. “Come, I need you to meet my great-great aunt Jo. She’s wonderful, but… eccentric.”
“All aunties should be eccentric,” he murmured, drawing a titter or two.
“They so should. Aunt Jo, this is my Jameson.”
A tiny woman with a shock of pure white hair turned to meet him, her eyes exactly like his Isaiah’s. “Jameson.”
He waited for Isaiah to draw him forward before he held out both hands. “Aunt Jo. It’s a great pleasure.” This woman supported Isaiah wholeheartedly, so he approved.
She looked into his eyes, and then she looked into him, rifling through his mind with bullet speed. Then she was gone, leaving him gasping and empty. “He’s perfect.”
Wow. Isaiah hadn’t warned him about her particular talent, just someone trying to whammy him.
Isaiah smiled. “I rather think so, yes.”
Aunt Jo cupped Isaiah’s cheek and took a soft kiss. “You’re a good boy, Izzy.”
“Thank you, Auntie.”
Oh, he liked her very much. She would be an ally. Jameson smiled, and they moved on, but his mental catalog of friends among the family didn’t grow much.
As sad as that was, there were few haters, which pleased him. No one had expected to rule, so no one had had time to plan a coup.
No one really wanted the responsibility. He had to admit, this was the least political enclave ever. Isaiah’s father had to have been a good ruler.
Isaiah was wearing down, his lover’s thoughts going growly and low.
Do you need to make any announcements? He was ready to shut this thing down as a proper consort should.
No, this was to introduce you and assure everyone understood. I’m tired, love.
I know. Let’s go. Jameson stepped forward to take his lover’s hand. “Thank you all so much for coming to meet me. You are, naturally, welcome to stay and drink and enjoy one another’s company, but my lord will retire now. Good night.”
The room gaped, but Aunt Jo laughed as they walked away.
He held his head high, walking at Isaiah’s side now that he’d been welcomed into the family. Once they got into the private wing, though, he pushed Isaiah up against the wall to take a kiss.
More. Isaiah’s fingers tangled in his hair, as they rocked together.
Anything you want, love. Isaiah had been a very good boy. He’d earned a reward.
Come to the bed. We’re safe here.
We are. He felt pretty safe anywhere among Isaiah’s family now. No one would cross them.
And if they did? He would make them pay. This was his family now, by blood oath as well as desire, and he would protect all of them, even from themselves. Mostly, though, he would eat anyone who threatened his man.
He moaned as Isaiah rocked against him, his lover stopping every few steps on the way to the bed, unable to stop touching him. Jameson rubbed that ass, which he knew would be mostly healed now, but still tender.
It was the promise that was the thing too. That he could heat his boy up whenever he needed too.
I want to plug you next time. Give you something to keep you from worrying so.
He loved the low cry, the hiccupping need in their bond.
Isaiah was so perfectly in tune with him, so wonderfully pliant and eager. He ached to fill his lover up, fill him and plug him, warm his ass again.
“God, the things I can see in your mind.” Isaiah swayed. “You said—”
“What did I say, boy?” He reeled Isaiah back in.
“You would feed from me… There.”
“I did at that. Off with the clothes.”
“After all the work to get them on me?” Oh! Cheeky!
He pressed Isaiah down on the bed. “That was for your family’s benefit, not mine. I would keep you naked all the time.”
“You’d get bored looking at me. I know it.”
Never. He stepped back. “Show me.”
“Jameson…” Isaiah pushed out of his shoes and stripped off his pants. It was luscious, the sight of that sweater that barely hid the curve of his ass, the rise of his prick.
“Mmmhmm. That’s just the ticket, sweet.” He loved how Isaiah refused to just spread, keeping everything tucked away.
It was a tease, a puzzle, and a wild temptation.
Jameson reached out and curled a finger in the hem of the sweater, tugging it up.
That sweet, naked cock pushed right out, like it was reaching in his hand. It had to be. Isaiah needed him, his touch.
“You make me feel…wild. Dangerous.”
“I want you to. I want you to want to rut with me, to bite and suck.”
Isaiah moaned and pushed back into his arms, Jameson’s hands slid up Isaiah’s spine, caressing the lean back. He loved that smooth skin, the way his touch brought out more groans.
“Dios…” Isaiah arched, sighed, and then melted.
“So sweet. We’re just meant for each other, love.” He rubbed that tight ass, letting Isaiah remember the beating he’d given.
“No spanking.”
“You’re not even pink anymore.”
“I said no.” Isaiah wiggled.
“No? Not even as my reward for dealing with your family?”
Oh, that idea soothed his boy, he could feel it. Jameson liked
it too, but he had made a promise, and he thought Isaiah deserved a treat too. He ran one finger along that rigid dick. Isaiah whimpered softly.
“Oh please.”
“I won’t leave you wanting, love. I might make you suffer for it.” He laughed when Isaiah shook his head because those eyes were glowing bright.
Someone was so eager.
So was Jameson, come to that.
“Lay back on the bed, boy. Legs spread wide.”
Nodding, Isaiah laid back on the pillows, pushing his legs far apart.
“Good boy. Such a good boy.”
“Why does it feel so good when you say that?” Isaiah squirmed, cock bobbing.
Jameson began to disrobe. “Because you want me to do the things I do to you.”
“Should I?”
“Does it matter?” he shot back.
“No.”
“You should. We’re mated.” He knew it like he knew his own name.
“Silly angels.” Isaiah teased, and spread farther, begging for him.
“Mmm. He just wants everyone to be happy.” Jameson looked up and winked before bending to lick a long line down that amazing cock.
“He-he does!” Isaiah followed him with his hips.
“I do too, baby boy. I really do.” He could smell the way Isaiah wanted him.
“I need to feel this.” He loved the tone in Isaiah’s voice.
“This?” He rubbed, up and down, up and down then dropped below to handle those balls a little roughly.
Isaiah sat up, pulling away.
“Where are you going?” He didn’t reach for Isaiah again immediately, wanting to know what was going on.
Isaiah shocked the hell out of him, pouncing, driving them together.
“Oooph.” He laughed, rolling them over. “Are you going to bite me?”
“I thought maybe I shouldn’t be too good.”
“No. No, you need to earn some punishment.” Oh, God, this was fun.
Isaiah nipped his chest. “Good deal.”
“So good.” He wiggled and arched, then let Isaiah turn them over again, straddling him. What would his boy do?
Isaiah leaned down and kissed him, tongue fucking his lips. He took it, but Jameson also took control, one hand behind Isaiah’s head, sinking into the red curls.
The sigh that pushed into his lips made him shake.
So damn responsive. He couldn’t ask for much more, but he would anyway.
He wanted everything Isaiah offered, and some things his boy didn’t know he could give. He would fight for it, push Isaiah to his limits and keep him safe.
