  “Stefan,” I called out.

  “Just let go.” He whispered.

My body tingled, as he entered me, over and over again. He began to rub me down there; switching back and forth. His fingers entered me again, his movement was rough, and my knees almost buckled. I could feel Stefan smirk through his kiss.

“Let go, baby.” He tells me again.

You could hear the smacking of the pleasure he was giving me. I bit my bottom lip, a slight whimper left my mouth, and my hands grasped his arms, as my nails dug into him. He leaned into me, pressing me up against the wall again, keeping me from falling. “Fuck!” I cried out.

“There you are.” He said, as he looked me in the eyes.

He placed a kiss on my lips, and stepped back into the rushing water. He ran his hands through his hair, as the water fell onto his face. I noticed how turned on he had become. I took his hand, turning him to face me. He looked down at me, curiosity ran across his face. My hand gently touched his skin, as I took him into my grip. He placed his hands on my hips, as my hand moved back and forth.

“Fuck Sophia,” He whispered. He pulled me closer, as I continued moving my hand. It's intoxicating how vulnerable he had become from my touch. He looked back into my eyes, a dark hunger had overcome him, “I need you on your knees.” He demanded.

Even though he just finished me, my sex clenched from his words. I kept my hand around his length, still pumping slowly. He placed his hands on the top of my head, guiding my mouth to take him in. He took a fist full of hair when he reached the back of my throat. Oh ok, he certainly likes it rough. His hands were guiding me back and forth, occasionally thrusting forward out of impulse. My hand moved faster along with my mouth. His grip on my hair had become tighter. He let out a deep breath that he had been holding in, I opened my eyes looking up at him, our eyes locked as he released himself into my mouth, his body shuddering. Holy shit that was hot.

As we stood there in the shower, he looked me in the eyes, and placed a kiss on my forehead. “I can’t get enough of you,” he whispered.

My heart jumped at his words.

“Little One, you keep surprising me.” He stepped out of the shower. “I’ll let you finish showering now.”

  “I didn’t know I could get dirtier in a shower.” I joked.

He looked at me while he was drying off. “You haven’t seen dirty yet.” He gave me a half smile, and walked out of the bathroom. He said it so casually, making me want more.

What just happened? Just last night I was storming away from him, telling myself this can’t go anywhere. Not even telling, knowing this can’t go anywhere. He said I’m his, but is he mine? What am I even doing?

  Chapter Nineteen

  Sophia

After I got out of the shower I blow dried my hair, and threw a pair of jeans on, with a cute blue shirt. I made my way down stairs, and found Stefan sitting on the couch drinking a cup of coffee, watching TV. Appreciation came over me as I watched him.

“So, you watch the news?” I walked around the couch.

He looked up at me. “Just the stocks on the bottom.” He set his coffee down. “What do you want to do today?”

I sat down next to him, “Anything, I’ve been dying to see the city since I’ve been here, but I work so much. You’re the one who’s lived here longer, you tell me.”

“I have an idea.” He said, as he got up and grabbed his phone. He walked to the kitchen, leaving me sitting alone. I looked around the room, because I didn’t know what just happened. Not what I had in mind when I said you tell me, but I guess I'll just stay here. I tried to listen to his conversation; I could only hear every other word.

“Alright, we have to be there in an hour. We will be cutting it close.” He tells me, as he walked back into the living room.

I looked at him uneasily, “Ready for what?”

“You’ll see.” He smiled, and put on his coat.

  “Stefan, I don’t like surprises.”

“Just trust me.” He handed me my coat.

  I huffed, “Fine.”

We walked outside into the brisk November air. Stefan locked the house, and then followed me down the steps.

“Are we taking your car?” I gestured to his car parked on the curb.

“The subway will be a lot faster. Come on let’s go.” He took my hand, and led me in the direction of the subway.

“I don’t like this.” I laughed. He smirked, and continued to quickly lead me to the subway.

Once we were on the train, we sat down next to a sweet couple chatting about their dog. Stefan kept checking his phone repeatedly. All while I sat there, not knowing what the hell was going on. The next thirty minutes drug on forever. When we arrived at our stop, Stefan took my hand and we power walked up the stairs.

As we walked out onto the streets, I noticed we were near the water. Which confused me even more. What could we possibly do over here? He led me down a few blocks; my nose was chilly from the brisk walking against the fall air. We ended up at a small building. A gentleman was standing out front. He smiled when he saw us approaching.

“Good Morning, Mr. Edwards and Miss Brooks.” The man nodded.

“Good Morning, Ben.” Stefan said to him.

“Follow me this way. You chose a great day for a flight.” Ben turned, and led us around the building.

The word flight made panic run through me. We turned the corner, and the sight of a helicopter came into view. Oh no.

“Stefan…” I said under my breath, it was almost a whisper. I pulled at his hand and stopped walking. He stopped and turned to face me.

“I don’t know about this.” I said nervously.

He took both my hands and pressed his lips to mine. “I will always take care of you, you have nothing to be afraid of.” He looked into my eyes.

“It’s not like a plane though. I don’t even know how it works.” I felt my heart beating a little faster.

“You don’t always have to know how things work.” He tells me.

“I know, but..” I didn’t finish my sentence. The thoughts of the car accident with my dad came rushing back to me.

He placed his hand on my right cheek, and rubbed it with his thumb. “But I have you. You are not your dad and this is not a car.”

The warmth from his hand on my cheek calmed me. I looked up at him, he pulled me closer, placing a kiss on the top of my head.

He knew he had won, because he started to lead me toward the helicopter again. Ben gave us...well more so me, the rundown of safety requirements. We were handed headsets and Stefan helped me into the seats. I was mesmerized by the helicopter blades as they started to spin. It was loud, but the headsets helped.

I was startled by the take off, and grabbed Stefan’s hand. He squeezed my hand, as he laughed at my reaction. My heart was pounding as we started to fly over the water. I knew I was over thinking everything, but I couldn’t help it.

My attention quickly drifted to the magical view outside. My anxiety slowly disappeared. This view was so much more than the one from the day I arrived on the plane. It was bright and colorful. The sky was the kind of blue from movies, not a cloud in the sky. I realized I was smiling from the sight, and covered my mouth with my hand. I heard Stefan laugh, and I looked over at him.

“You’re not even looking.” I eyed him with a smirk.

“Trust me, watching you is better than any skyline.” He replied with a sweet smile.

I rolled my eyes at his cheesy line, turning my attention back out the windows. “Look!” I borderline yelled, as the view of The Statue of Liberty came into sight. She was small, we couldn’t fly anywhere near her, but it was the first time I had seen the statue.

“See you’re the best entertainment here.” He placed a kiss on my hand.

The next forty five minutes were filled with me pointing out every landmark that was visible, as we flew over the water. The pilot gave us a history lesson about each sight. My nerves were almost nonexistent at this poin
t. My heart was calm. I didn’t want this moment to end. I looked over at Stefan, who was talking over the headset to the pilot. The sun came through as the helicopter turned, causing him to turn into nothing but his silhouette. It was like a dream. He felt like a dream that I didn’t want to wake up from.

I was happy to be back on the ground after we landed. The landing was a lot more calming than the take off; partially because I was happy to be out of the air. Stefan helped me down onto the helicopter pad. The cold wind blew through my hair blinding me, causing me to stumble.

“You have got to be more careful.” Stefan laughed, and took hold of my hand to steady me. He thanked Ben for the trip and last minute planning.

Tim was waiting by the road for us. Tim is always waiting. He must be the best dang driver out there, because he shows up at the right time, every time.

“Where to?” Tim asked, looking into the rearview mirror.

Stefan looked at me, “Where to?”

“Oh me? I’m choosing?” I placed my hand on my chest.

“We’re doing whatever you want to do today.”

“Um...Bruch?” I said hesitantly. I’ve never had anything at my leaser like this. It kind of made me uncomfortable, but felt amazing at the same time.

“You know the spot.” Stefan said to Tim.

“The Spot?” I asked. “I’ve never heard of it.”

“It’s not called The Spot.” Stefan laughed. “We call it that, because I drag Tim there almost every weekend.”

“It’s true.” Tim chimed in. “The best pancakes you’ll ever have.”

Stefan’s phone began to vibrate. Actually it’s been going off all morning. He glanced at it for a moment then slid it back into his pocket. I want to ask, but whatever this is between us just started, and I don’t want to push.

We arrived at what looked like a hole in the wall. I couldn’t have been more wrong, it was the most beautifully decorated restaurant on the inside. The architectural decor inside was rustic, but beautiful at the same time. The ceiling was covered in mirrors, which reflected the beautiful tile flooring. I order a mimosa, because when you brunch, you mimosa. It’s the law. Stefan ordered a black coffee with two sugars and a dash of almond milk per usual. We both ordered pancakes.

“So did you enjoy your morning?” Stefan asked me, as he took a sip of his coffee.

I gave him a warm smile, “I loved it.”

“You said you wanted to see the city.”

“So, you show me the whole thing at once?” I raised an eyebrow at him.

He laughed, “I’d take you anywhere you want to go, just to see your reaction again.”

His phone started to go off again. This time he answered it, he mouthed One second, holding up his index finger, and made his way outside. I watched as he paced back and forth, running his hand through his hair. I suddenly realized I downed my drink in my distraction. I couldn’t make out what was being said, but he seemed annoyed. He started to walk back inside, and I quickly looked at my phone trying to seem busy.

“Finished your drink?” He asked as he sat back down.

  “I was thirsty.”

Stefan waved to the waitress to bring another one over.

“Is everything ok?” I gestured to his phone.

“Oh yeah, everything is fine.” He replied. He was clearly uncomfortable by my question.

The pancakes arrived. I had never seen a bigger, more delicious pile of pancakes. They were covered in a mound of berries and whipped cream. I thought I was going to go into a sugar coma just looking at it.

“These taste amazing.” I took a bite. “I think they’re my new favorite.”

“It doesn’t taste as good as you did last night.” He said with a smirk.

I choked on my food, and instantly felt my face turn red, covering my mouth. “Stefan you can’t say stuff like that in public.” I whispered.

“Sophia, no one is listening.” He sarcastically whispered back.

  “How would you know?”

“You think the old couple two tables over could hear us over here?” He challenged.

  “Maybe.”

A hint of mischief formed in his eye, “Let’s find out…last night I had my...”

“No, please no.” I grabbed his hand. “You win.”

He laughed, and picked up his coffee. “I always do.”

We finished our brunch, and Stefan said goodbye to the man behind the bar as we walked toward the exit. I swear he knows someone everywhere we go. People are drawn to him. He could chat to any random person on the street, and he makes them feel as if they’ve known him for years. I need that talent.

“Where did Tim go?” I asked, looking up and down the street for the car.

“I let him go early, it’s the weekend. Plus we are very capable of walking a few blocks ourselves.” He wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

“What do you want to do for the rest of the day?” I asked, as we started walking toward home.

“I have plenty of ideas that I'd want to do to you.” He looked down at me, and pulled me closer to him. His words made butterflies appear in my stomach.

We turned the corner, and three beautiful women exited a clothing store ahead of us. I admired them while they stood there laughing, holding their designer shopping bags. They’re the kind of women who wear diamond bracelets, because you have all of the diamond earrings and necklaces already. A driver stepped out of a car to collect their bags.

Suddenly Stefan stopped walking and darted me into a bookstore that we were passing by. I heard someone call his name as we entered, but he tried to make his best attempt to ignore it.

“Stefan, someone just called your name.” I said, looking back at the glass door.

“Just stay in here for a moment.” He told me, and turned to walk out.

I wouldn’t let go of his hand, “Why?”

“Just trust me, please.” He pleaded, squeezing my hand for reassurance and then left me standing there.

I was annoyed, but I obliged and picked up a random book nearby pretending to look through it. I lingered near the front window. I could see one of the beautiful women greet Stefan with a hug. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a loose bun, held into place with a beautiful pin. She had her makeup done, and not one wrinkle on her white pants. Stefan’s face was anxious. I could barely make out what they were saying, and then the woman pointed to me. I swiftly looked down at the book trying to avoid eye contact. Stefan’s voice rose slightly which concerned me.

Against everything my mind was telling me, I set the book down and walked outside. I didn’t know what was going on, and I couldn’t stay put any longer. Stefan’s face dropped at my presence, and the beautiful woman smiled in my direction.

“Sophia, so lovely to meet you.” The woman embraced me.

I stepped back. “Nice to meet you?”

“Sophia, this is my mother Evelyn.” Stefan said, I could hear the annoyance in his voice.

“Yes, I'm so glad to finally meet you. Pity I was the last one though.” She had a sarcastic tone in her voice.

“Alright we have to be somewhere.” He placed his hand on my back to guide me around the other ladies.

Evelyn touched my arm, “Sophia, you and I, we will have tea soon.”

Stefan shot her a look, and I responded with a smile and a nod. Which was probably the opposite answer Stefan wanted me to give, but how do you respond in that situation? His mother is intimidating to say the least.

“Good to see you too, Stefan.” She called out, and then joined her friends in the car that was waiting.

He wouldn’t look at me as we began to walk. “I told you to stay inside.” He said firmly, once we were around the corner.

“You don’t get to tell me what to do. That’s not how this works.” I snapped.

“When it comes to my family, this is the only way it will work.”

“Why are you trying to hide me?” I let go of his hand.

  “I’m not, Sophia.
There are just some things you don’t understand.” He sounded exhausted from the conversation.

  “Then enlighten me.” I demanded.

“Until you, they had nothing to hold over my head. They will come after you, it will be gentle at first, but they won’t stop.”

“Cam said I was a bargaining tool.”

He sighed, “That’s exactly what the view you as.”

I looked over at him, and took his hand again. “You know that sounds insane, right?”

“Yes, it does, but that's the life that I’ve been dealt.” He pulled my hand to his lips, and placed a kiss on top of it.

  Chapter Twenty

  Sophia

Stefan and I decided to stay in, Saturday night. The whole having the house to ourselves was nice. I really didn’t want Keira to come home tomorrow; I wasn’t sure how Stefan would act around everyone. I looked over at him next to me, my legs draped across his lap, his hands placed on top of them. After last night we instantly became comfortable with each other. He was zoned in on the movie playing. Today was perfect. I didn’t understand why this beautiful man in front of me wanted me.

“Wine and cheese.” I blurted out.

He looked at me with confusion across his face, “What?”

“Wine and cheese.” I repeated, jumping up from the couch, making my way toward the kitchen. I reached into the cabinet, and pulled out two wine glasses. I turned around to find Stefan leaning against the kitchen island. He laughed shaking his head at me.

  “What?” I giggled.

He straightened his back, and walked around to me, “You’re just cute, that’s all.”

I bent down, and opened the wine cooler, “White?” I asked.

“Here I got this, you go sit down.” He took the bottle from me.
