“We might be a little late with our congratulations, but better late than never!” Mrs. Wellington said.
While everyone been busy eating cake and talking, Arthur approached Carol and handed her a small box.
“This is for you,” he said.
“What is that?”
“Open it and find out.”
Carol removed the lid and pulled a small greyish rock out of the box. It turned red in her palm. Carol looked at Arthur with both surprise and delight.
“A lunar rock! Oh, I thought I would never see it again!”
“Now you can show it to your science teacher. And the way things are going, he’ll probably believe your story,” Arthur said, smiling.
