Home Is Where You Are Page 29

by Melissa Grace

To Mama and Daddy, you fueled my reading obsession when I was a kid. You helped me become a voracious reader and that allowed me to become a better writer. This book wouldn’t exist without all the hours you let me get lost in a book or in the countless family ‘newspapers’ I forced you to read. Love you both special.

To Matthew, the world’s okayest brother. Love you always, little brother.

To those who have been with me since my podcasting days… Y’ALL. We did it! When I spoke into a mic for the first time, I never could have imagined the support that would come from such beautiful, amazing women. You all have been the wind in my sails more times than you’ll ever know.

To every woman over thirty, forty, fifty, and beyond who has ever felt like Liv… you are a million, billion, trillion, times enough. You are worthy of the dreams you have for yourself. Never give up.

Lastly, to Granny, you taught me to love freely and selflessly. You are proof that the greatest love stories are often the ones that don’t have anything to do with romance. They’re in the quiet resiliency of our families and the sweetness of the friendships we form throughout our lives. I miss you more than I’ll ever be able to put into words. I’d give anything if you were here to celebrate this with me. I hope I can make you proud. Love you special. Forever.
