Fate's Consort Page 27

“The two things my brother believes worth the sacrifice of expulsion are power and revenge,” Lucifer stated. “Azazel’s death by your sword freed you to walk the earth. Once my brother learns you are Fate, Analise Saria, war on earth is inevitable.”

“It was my choice, Seraphim. Shall we take this to your bedroom to find an amicable solution? Maybe let you spread your wings.”

Lucifer’s laughter filled her with joy as he released her and stood. He flexed his muscles, drawing a needy groan from her. She did love the intoxicating sensuality that radiated from his body. He cradled her in his arms. “Shall we test them?”

Before she could answer, he strode into the living room and out to the balcony. Analise stared out. Lucifer’s building was directly across from hers. She realized what he planned. “You’re not about to do what I think you’re going to do?”

He grinned. “You wished me to become more humanlike, Consort. Humans are adventurous, at times foolhardy. I do not intend to be as foolish, but occasionally, I am willing to be adventurous.”

She looked down when they reached the edge of the balcony. “Seriously, Seraphim, this is not what I meant by acting human. Humans don’t have wings. If they fly, it’s in an aircraft.”

  “How boring.”

Lucifer launched them into the air, laughing at Analise’s startled scream. Her arms wrapped about his neck as she pressed her face into his shoulder. His laughter floated along with them as he soared upward. Analise peeked over his arm as he flew toward the Golden Gate Bridge. He glided over Park Presidio and Treasure Island before heading back to his residence. When they landed on the rooftop of his building, she laughed and uttered one word. “Awesome.”

  Chapter 25

Lucifer’s thumb delicately charmed Analise’s left cheek. Their minds connected, he knew every emotion coursing through her. They hadn’t made it to his bedroom before he started kissing her. She was glad none of the archangels were around when he stripped her naked without lifting a hand. Analise’s gasp was a sound of pure pleasure.

“You really must learn to control your breathing, Consort. If you faint every time you experience pleasure, our lovemaking will be very short.”

“If you didn’t kiss me senseless, I might not pass out,” Analise retorted. “I think you’re some exotic species of vampire immortal sucking the life out of me every time we’re in bed.”

Lucifer’s hand drifted to her breasts. He loved the captivating color of her skin. So like the desert—warm, brown, and alive. “While I enjoy sucking parts of your body, and I especially love the taste of these, I am not some exotic species of vampire immortal. Angels are not fond of drinking blood. I am, however, entranced by the sweet juices you leak when you orgasm.”

Laughter tinted her voice when she replied, “I must be weird because I’m so turned on right now.”

Her fingernails lightly raked his penis. Lucifer inhaled sharply. “You continue to do that I will have to punish you, Consort.”

“Does the invincible Seraphim fear the innocent touch of his life mate?”

Her hand grew bolder, gripping his flesh and sliding down until she hit the firmness of pelvic bone. Her fingers made the return journey, squeezing and releasing in a rhythmic pattern that sent the blood rushing to both his head and his penis.

“Two can play this game, Analise Saria,” he murmured.

His mouth trailed up her breastbone, his tongue grazing her skin. When he reached the indentation at the base of her throat he kissed the spot tenderly. A light purr sounded deep in her chest and grew as he licked his way to her mouth. Her lips parted in anticipation when his firm mouth brushed hers. He nipped her lower lip before his tongue smoothed over the bite. He repeated this erotic play until her hands gripped his hair. She tugged his head up and stared into his eyes.

  “Seriously not fair, Dream Candy.”

“Never said I would play fair, Dream Girl.”

His mouth claimed hers as a husky groan rolled past her lips. Long slow swipes sent shock waves through them both. Lucifer never tired of the pleasure her mouth gave him. Lucifer gently braced her head, his fingers entangled in her thick hair.

“Analise Saria, it is time to seek our bed.”

Lucifer stared at his Consort. The sight of her slender body on the silk bedsheet stoked a fire in his groin. Her lowered eyelashes hid the hunger thrumming through her, yet he was acutely aware of her need. He dipped his head to capture her mouth, his tongue a gentle pressure until her lips parted. The taste of her exploded across his senses as he stroked the inside of her mouth. Her wetness tasted like roses and spice and he lapped the succulent juice. His need partly sated, he withdrew, his teeth dragging across the plump flesh of her bottom lip, swiping the soft skin before reclaiming the inside of her mouth. The taste of Analise was carnal, dangerous, and luscious. No matter how many times he tasted her, Lucifer knew he would never be sated.

Soft moans gurgled at the back of her throat, the erotic sound sparking a slow burn. His hand traced a sensuous path down her shoulder and across her chest to cup a firm breast. He moved his palm in concentric circles, her nipple flush against his skin. Lucifer lifted his head to look at her. She stared back at him, her eyes alight with passion. In their reflection, he spied the bright blue flame of his desire.

“You will not faint tonight, Analise Saria,” he murmured.

He pressed soft kisses against her slim throat, the tip of his tongue branding her skin with pleasure. She arched against his mouth. Her nipple firmed beneath the faint wisps of warm air he blew, his teeth gently tugging her nipple before he sucked it into his mouth.

Analise’s senses reeled. She hadn’t expected his gentleness nor the unexpected ways it inflamed her senses. Any thought her passion was under control fled when a sensuous lick sent a scorching trail of fire from her breast to her clit. Lucifer’s tongue followed the path, an accelerant to the blaze he ignited until it burned like the Saharan sun. She sensed rather than felt his hand cupping her sex, currents of electricity rubbing against the sensitive folds of flesh. A single finger flicked against the damp skin and her body arched to meet his demand.

  “Lucifer.”

“Open for me, Consort. I want everything.”

Her thighs parted slightly. Her muscles clenched and she shivered when his finger slipped inside her.” I love that you’re wet for me, but I need you to open for me. Give me all of you.”

His words tempted Analise, pushed her to acquiesce. With a faint whimper, she gave her angel what he wanted. His touch left her panting, desiring more. She whispered his name again and again.

His mouth drifted down her belly until it brushed against her damp curls. Analise squirmed when his tongue teased the soft nub hidden by her lower lips.

  “Don’t move, Consort.”

Lucifer’s breath sent a pleasurable heat with each word and her thighs quivered. Every time you do this, I faint.

“Not this time, and rule number one,” he whispered.

A firm tongue plunged into her, bringing her hips off the bed. Then she was lost. His mouth and his hands were everywhere. Her nerve endings danced erratically in their effort to soothe the devastating storms he whipped up. She bucked when a finger pushed inside her, followed by a second. He brought her to the edge of a climax. Her muscles clenched as if to hold the pleasure at bay. Lucifer’s tongued dragged across her clitoris then abandoned the throbbing button.

A desperate cry died in her throat when he positioned himself between her legs, drew her knees up against his chest, and slammed into her with one heart-pounding thrust. He remained motionless, allowing her body to remain on the edge of a climax. He gazed at her, his facial muscles strained by his self-control.

“You definitely will not faint this time, Consort,” he said.

His cadence reignited the slow-burning fire inside her and waves of sensual heat wrapped around nerve endings. His erection filled her so thoroughly, her pleasure mingled with the slight pain. Soft mewling sounds
poured from her throat. She knew he loved the noises she made just before an orgasm.

“More, Seraphim. I want more,” she murmured.

Lucifer answered her plea by angling her body for maximum penetration. He withdrew until the smooth head of his penis teased the slick opening. “I will give you as much as you are willing to take.”

  “I can take it all.”

He drove deep and retreated, each thrust taking him deeper to the core of her. Analise’s body arched to meet his powerful strokes. Her vaginal muscles repeatedly contracted and expanded, a throbbing mass of nerves ready to explode.

Her orgasm struck with the relentless force and swiftness of a desert sandstorm, scouring across sensitive skin before shattering. She felt the slick glide and retreat of Lucifer’s hardness. As quickly as the first orgasm ended, a second one began. An intense spasm that had her toes curling.

Through the thick fog of mind-bending pleasure, she heard Lucifer groan with each breath she took. Her passion-heavy eyelids lifted. “Do you think you are immune to your Consort? That you are the only one who can bring a life mate pleasure?”

Her fingernails lightly scratched the length of his back and hard muscles bunched beneath her touch. Analise pushed against his chest, forcing him to lift his body. She scooted from beneath him and, with a surprisingly quick move, had him on his back. His sheathed dick, slick with her juices, jerked as she straddled him.

“It’s been some time since I’ve ridden anything,” she said huskily. “I wonder if the adage is true?”

  “What adage?”

Her fingers slid down his penis and returned, tightening their hold. She guided him until the smooth crown flicked against her aroused flesh.

“Once.” She slid down until the head of him was inside her.

  “You.” She captured another inch.

“Learn.” She clenched as her body adjusted to his dick.

“To Ride.” She took another inch inside her.

“You never forget,” she whispered, sliding down until she’d taken all of him insider her.

She stared at him before she slipped a finger between them to stroke her slick, hard clit. Bringing her finger to her lips, she sucked it into her mouth as her hips rose and fell. Harsh grunts poured from Lucifer’s throat. Analise withdrew her finger and traced it along Lucifer’s lips.

She laughed softly. “A sweetness to live for, a passion to die for.”

Analise rode her life mate, her Consort, and her love, giving Lucifer as much pleasure as he’d brought to her. With their bodies in harmony, she joined her mind to his.

You are my life as I am yours, Seraphim.

Analise rubbed her sleepy eyes before she reached across the bed in search of the luxurious feel of Lucifer’s wings only to meet the smooth texture of Egyptian cotton sheets. She lifted her eyelashes. Where are you, Dream Candy?

  In my office.

She stretched lazily. Inhaling, she sucked in the scent of Lucifer and counted to ten. When she exhaled, contentment flooded her and she got up to take her shower. It was a quick one and, for once, she didn’t give priority to the problems living in her head like a six-hundred-pound llama. She wouldn’t dwell on the looming threats to her peace of mind. Dressed in a pair of jeans and a red T-shirt, she headed toward the kitchen.

The smooth wood floor was cool beneath her bare feet. While going barefoot didn’t bother her, Analise wondered if she’d ever be as comfortable with nudity as the angels were. Speaking of angels, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeted her when she walked into the kitchen.

Ooh, I will seriously have to marry you.

  She heard his amused laughter.

For a cup of coffee? You come rather inexpensively, Consort.

She snorted. Not really, and Jamaican Blue is not just a cup of coffee. It’s heaven, it’s—

  “As good as fucking?”

The words seeped through the kitchen walls, evoking her laughter. “Did I hear the word ‘fucking’ pass your antiquated lips? What will your parents think, Lucifer of no surname?”

She filled a mug and strolled into the living room. Richard and Tess snuggled on the sofa, coffee mugs in hand. Richard ‘s mouth was pressed against Tess’s temple. She giggled and nodded.

“Mom, Dad, yuck! Go get a room.”

Richard kissed his wife deeply before turning his amused gaze to Analise. “If you don’t want the messiness, go to your room.”

Analise sauntered over to a large leather chair opposite the sofa. She sat, took a blissful sip of her coffee, and grinned at the couple.

Richard grinned back. “PDA is much more fun when it annoys the children.”

“How are you two? Are you okay?”

“We’re fine,” Tess offered. “We’re more worried about you. This bat shit crazy is a lot for us to take so I can imagine what it’s like for you, Lise.”

She flashed Tess a smile “So like you to worry about someone else. You and Richard shoved into a panic room after Lucifer, Raphael, and Gabriel flew out of here like the Avengers. You also had to deal with my total meltdown. The next morning I walk in, coffee in hand, smiling like the Cheshire Cat.”

Tess laughed while Richard snorted. “Okay, fine may be an overstatement. What my sweet wife is saying, Lise, whenever you need us, we’re here for you. Angels, demons, or the person behind you who looks like they walked off the set of the Mummy.”

Analise glanced over her shoulder. “Izem.”

The warrior bowed to her. “Tamahaq.”

  “Is there a problem?”

Izem gestured to the elevator. “I will need your aid with the Tamahaq’s life mate. The warriors have gathered. They wish to greet the Tamahaq.”

“How many?” She asked, rising from her chair.

“Fifty. The others protect our people and those who care for us.”

Analise looked at Richard and Tess. “I need to go deal with this before Lucifer freaks out.”

“Not without me,” Tess said, pushing up from the sofa. “I haven’t had this much fun since. . .,” she looks at Richard, “my wedding night.”

“Ouch,” Richard groaned. “Damn woman, after twenty something years?”

“I’m not the one who forgot my wedding anniversary. Besides, I wouldn’t miss seeing Lucifer freaking out for all the world,” she declared, ignoring her husband’s sulks. “Lead the way, fearless leader.”

Analise laughed and walked to the elevator, followed by Izem, Tess, and Richard. The elevator descended two floors when it stopped, the doors opening. Lucifer, Gabriel, Raphael, and Michael strolled in. Michael pushed a button. The elevator descended until it reached the tenth floor. The archangels exited first and stood to one side. Lucifer waved Tess and Richard out before he offered his hand to Analise.

She slid her palm on his and they walked out into a hallway. Izem positioned himself on Analise’s left side. Lucifer glanced at Michael who stepped in front of the group and led the way to the conference room. Raphael and Gabriel drew their swords when Michael opened the door. A nervous gasp floated past Tess’s lips when Izem suddenly blocked Analise’s path.

“Will the Tamahaq greet her warriors?” he asked in Tahaggart.

  “She will.”

“What did he say, Analise?” Tess asked quietly.

“He wanted to know if I am ready to say hi to my warriors.”

Analise stepped into the room. Lucifer’s grip on her fingers tightened when the metallic hiss of drawn swords exploded in the room. Angel wings flared and a fiery brightness suddenly enveloped humans and angels. Tess squealed and clung to Richard’s arm. Analise stroked Tess’s arm; she’d forgotten how scary and dangerous the archangels can be.

Izem bowed to Lucifer. “Do not be alarm, life mate to the Tamahaq. These are the Tamahaq’s warriors. They come to pledge their allegiance.”

Gabriel took point, crossing in front of Analise and Lucifer. Once Gabriel’s wings dimmed, Raphael and Michael followed suit. Tess and Richard peeked from behin
d the archangels. Despite knowing what to expect, Analise didn’t hide her amazement.

The takouba, the traditional Imohag sword, strapped to their backs, fifty warriors kneeled in the center of the conference room. Their heads bowed, brown djellabas flowing like the desert across their backs, the warriors waited for Izem’s signal. He issued a sharp command and all rose to their feet.

From behind the narrow slits of the dark indigo tagelmust each warrior wore, eyes ranging in color from chocolate brown to pale gray peered at Analise. Swords slammed against chests and a guttural shout filled the room.

She eased her fingers from Lucifer’s fierce hold. I must speak to them.

He peered at her. The knowledge of who you are does not make acceptance any easier.

She flashed him a smile. You’re doing well, Dream Candy.

Izem stepped forward, kneeled, and offered her his sword. She took it. Rising, he moved from her path. Analise clenched the sword as a warrior stepped forward and bowed.

  “I am Tariq, Tamahaq. Hawk.”

One by one, the warriors came forward, bowed, spoke his name, and his shift animal. When the last warrior stepped back into line, she handed Izem his sword. Stepping away from him, she shifted. A tawny eagle flexed its wings and launched itself. The bird glided over the band of cheering warriors before landing back at Lucifer’s side.

Analise shifted back, a pained groan slipping past her lips as she did so. She would be sore in an hour. Turning her back to the warriors, she looked at Lucifer.

“Warriors, acknowledge the Tamahaq’s life mate and Consort,” she said in Tahaggart. “You will guard him as you guard me because he is my chosen.”

The warriors dropped to their knees and bowed their heads. Analise peered at Izem. “Summon the others.”

Seconds later, eleven black djellaba-cloaked warriors glided into the room. They bowed to Analise. She repeated her words to the warriors who turned to acknowledge Lucifer. Swords hissed once more and a war cry echoed in the room. Taking Lucifer’s hand, she said, “We can leave now, Consort.”
