Holiday Hookup Page 6

“Mikelina has scheduled you for a luau tonight.”

Blaine stopped dead in his tracks. “I thought Selena is cooking dinner for me tonight?” That definitely put a dent in his earthshaking sex plans. He wanted a marathon session, all night long. Stopping to go to a luau, solo, didn’t appeal to him at all.

Titus scrolled through his phone. “No, but if you would like, I can schedule her to make a dessert. Perhaps a late-night tea and digestive.”

Blaine was going to cancel the luau, but Titus frowned at him and Blaine remembered that Selena said one of her coworkers got fired for sleeping with a client. He didn’t want to make Titus suspicious of what he had planned for Selena. “Sure,” Blaine said, forcing a smile.

“Have a nice afternoon,” Titus said.

Blaine waited until the elevator doors closed before giving him the finger. The knot between his shoulders eased when the doors opened up to his penthouse. That hot tub was calling his name, but then he caught a scent of sesame oil and he gravitated to the kitchen.

Selena had her back to him, but her fist was jammed in her back. The other hand was stirring in the wok.

“You all right?” he asked, the pulsing rage he had been feeling turning into a simmering blaze of lust. He wanted to lean her over the counter and take her deep and slow.

She jumped. “I didn’t hear you over the sizzle.”

“I get that a lot,” he said, winking and smoothing a hand over his hair.

“I was talking about the onions, but you do you.” She rolled her shoulders. “I’m just a little stiff.”

So am I. Blaine tried to discreetly adjust himself.

“This Italian marble floor is gorgeous, but killer on my back.”

“Maybe I can treat you to a little massage.” He wiggled his fingers.

“Speaking of massages, you’re booked for one tomorrow afternoon at three. It’s on the beach not far from where the yoga was this morning.”

“What part of I need a little excitement was Mikelina missing?”

“She also has rebooked your surfing lessons to tomorrow morning, followed by cliff diving off Black Rock, and weather permitting you’ll be hiking at Pe’ahi, taking a helicopter ride around the island and—” Selena walked over to her journal and flipped a few pages. “—zip-lining through Makawao.”

“That’s more like it,” he said.

“I’m glad to see you embracing your vacation.”

  “I’d rather be embracing you.”

“We’ll get to that,” she said with a sexy smile that he felt right down to his cock. “Why don’t you relax for a bit and I’ll call you when lunch is ready?”

“I’ll be in the hot tub.”

He didn’t even bother with the robe this time. Stripping off everything, he settled into the hot tub. Blaine sank down into the water and leaned his head back. This would have been perfect if he didn’t keep hearing his mother tell him that his brother and Paul had trashed his work and were rebuilding the camera sensor on their own.

He’d be the first to admit there was a problem. After all, a camera sensor would have picked up the dog and the little old lady. There wasn’t time to start over from scratch. As he stewed about the problem, he knew he could at least put them on the right track if he had access to his computer.

“Lunch,” Selena said, tossing a robe over the chair.

She watched him as he got out of the tub with a greedy look in her eyes. “You sure lunch can’t wait?”

  “Are you hungry?” she asked.

“Not for food.” He ignored the robe and stalked toward her.

“It can wait.” She stepped back into the room. “I hope you don’t mind that I activated the privacy locks.”

  “I don’t mind at all.”

He grabbed her and was surprised by a sharp buzz.

Selena rolled her eyes. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and looked at the number. “That’s Titus. He probably wants to make sure I’m not up here with you.”

The rage came back. “Why is that any of his business?” He really didn’t like that guy.

“He’s uptight. I told you he fired a friend of mine for sleeping with one of the guests.”

“That’s a little harsh.” It was as expected. Titus was checking up on her.

  “That’s Titus for you.”

  “More like Tight Ass.”

“Let me just shut this off.” She put it on the table and then shrugged out of her chef’s coat. “Now, where were we?”

“Wait, you have cell signal?” He had assumed Tight Ass had blocked everyone’s cell phone.

“Here we go.” She rolled her eyes. “Yes. All staff do.”

“I need you to make your cell a hot spot so I can log my laptop onto the internet.” It would just take him an hour to straighten this mess out.

“No.” She crossed her arms over her chest, and he noticed that she was wearing a very thin T-shirt over a bikini top.

  “No?” he said. “Why not?”

“Because, you came here for a relaxing vacation. You’re not going to manage your stress if you’re working full-time.”

  “I promise it won’t be full-time.”

“Blaine, I wasn’t born yesterday. I have nephews. I’ve seen them play video games for eighteen hours straight, go to sleep, wake up and do it all over again. That’s you, only it’s work, not play.”

“How about we make a deal?” he said.

“This ought to be good.” She went into the kitchen and started plating up lunch.

Well, he was hungry now that he thought of it. And he’d be able to concentrate on having a good time once he could straighten this camera-sensor problem.

“I could go to a cybercafe and do the same thing, but that’s not very relaxing.”

“Uh-huh.” Selena narrowed her eyes at him.

“What if I pay you what I would pay them, and I work a few hours after every meal? In the meantime, I’ll do all the rest-and-relaxation stuff that you want.”

“This could cost me my job.” She nudged him back to the table and set a brightly colored chicken stir fry in front of him. It smelled amazing.

“If it does, I’ll pay you what you would have made if you hadn’t been fired. Actually, I’ll do that anyway.” He speared a chunk of chicken and a pepper on his fork and popped it in his mouth. “Damn, this is good.”

“I’m glad you like it,” she said dryly. “So let me get this straight. You’re going to pay me six months’ salary, for the use of my cell phone as a hot spot so you can connect to the internet for the two weeks that you’re here? Are you nuts?”

“Desperate. This place would be a perfect vacation, but I can’t be disconnected for two weeks.”

Selena nibbled on her lip. “I thought the most rule breaking I’d be doing was having sex with a client. Providing you with internet would be like me ordering fried chicken for you.”

“In for a penny,” he said, shrugging. “In for a pound. I’m okay with take-out chicken.”

“I will wash your mouth out with soap,” she snapped.

“Look, the bottom line is I’m not going to be able to relax unless I can see what’s going on at my company.”

“The moment you do, your business partners will be calling up the resort and we’ll both be busted. Only designated phones have cell service at the center. Titus will revoke my privilege in a heartbeat.”

  “I can be discreet.”

“Can you?” Selena glared at him. “Can you really?” She gestured, and he realized he was sitting there buck naked.

Blaine decided to brazen it out. They just had to agree to this one thing, and then the fun and romance could get back on schedule. “You’ve got nothing to lose. Set me up on the internet and I’ll wire the six months into your account. If my brother decides to be a punk and you
r cell phone gets blocked, the money is all yours.”

Selena walked away from him, and he realized the afternoon’s activities had suddenly shifted.

“I don’t want to jeopardize your job, though,” he said, trying to regain the mood. “We can talk about this later. Why don’t you grab a plate and join me for lunch?”

“It was a hard enough decision for me to decide to sleep with you,” she said. “I hadn’t planned on going rogue.”

“I don’t want to put any pressure on you,” Blaine said. “Why don’t we talk about this later? Much, much later.”

Selena sighed and put her chef’s jacket back on.

Blaine closed his eyes. He was an idiot.

“I need to think about this,” she said, giving him a sad smile as she slipped her phone back into her pocket. “Enjoy your lunch.”

  CHAPTER SEVEN

SELENA WAS SO FRUSTRATED, she wanted to take Blaine’s laptop and toss it in the ocean. She wished he didn’t look like a cross between Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow and a Viking. She wished he wasn’t obsessed with his job. Heck, while she was wishing, she should have wished that vegan cheese tasted like real cheese.

This whole thing was a bad idea. Tomorrow at breakfast, she’d tell him that over the eggs Benedict and asparagus. He’d need the protein for the surfing and cliff diving anyway. Selena would keep him at arm’s length for the rest of his vacation. There would be no more ogling over his dripping-wet body coming out of the hot tub or about running her hands all over his tight ass. Trying not to be dejected over Blaine’s rejection, Selena didn’t realize Titus was coming the other way until it was too late.

“I’ve been trying to reach you,” he said, smiling widely.

“I had my phone off,” she said tiredly. “What do you need?” Aside from a shave-iced enema.

“Mr. Stephens would like a digestive and some tea after the luau. I was thinking maybe a fruit custard.”

Untightening her jaw, Selena said curtly, “Sure. I’ll get right on that.”

Titus reached out for her, but she sidestepped him. “Selena, I was speaking with Kirk this morning.”

“How is he?” she said, politely.

“He’s having a good time with his new bride.”

This time, Selena’s smile was real. Kirk had married Mikelina’s mother.

“Anyway, I told him that I would love to have you here under me at the wellness center.”

“What?” Selena wasn’t sure she heard him correctly.

“When your contract is up, I’d like to hire you to work for me full-time, on a permanent basis.”

  Oh hell no.

“Or if you’d like to make that happen sooner, I could buy out your contract.”

“No thanks,” she said. “I don’t like staying in one place for a long time. I get bored easily.” There, that should be a good enough excuse.

“Think about it.” Titus raised his hand to touch her shoulder and she scurried back away from him. This was not happening. She couldn’t get the one guy she wanted into bed, but the one guy she wouldn’t sleep with if he was the last man on earth was hitting on her.

  * * *

Selena was hoping to finish up the fruit custard and be the hell out of there before Blaine came back, but she heard the elevator just as she was pulling the dessert out of the oven.

  “Shit,” she muttered.

“Aloha,” Blaine said, coming into the kitchen with something rolled up under his arm. He was wearing a screaming red Hawaiian shirt with Santa Clauses all over it.

Her lips twitched. “You look festive.”

“Getting into the holiday spirit,” Blaine said. “This is for you.”

He handed her what he had under his arm. It was a thick kitchen mat. “Why?”

“Put it by the stove, so you can stand on it instead of the hard floor. It rolls up like a yoga mat so you can take it with you from job to job.”

“That’s really sweet,” Selena said. “Thanks.” Now she felt bad about the fantasies of stomping on his phone and laptop that she had been amusing herself with while she had been cooking.

  “I’m sorry for this afternoon.”

“It’s fine,” she said, taking a deep breath to tell him that she changed her mind about having sex with him. Selena wished he wasn’t so damned good looking.

“I also scheduled you for a massage tomorrow. The same time as mine.”

  “What?” She blinked at him.

“I figure you’ve been working so hard, you deserve a little pampering.”

“I’m not supposed to...” she trailed off.

“You went to the yoga class. I figured it would be all right to have a massage.”

Selena thought about it. She really could use one. And he was right. Titus didn’t have a problem with them using the amenities on the resort as long as it didn’t interfere with their jobs.

“That was really thoughtful of you. Thank you.”

He held out his hand. “Come on—I’ve got one more surprise for you.”

Intrigued, Selena took his hand. It was strong and warm, and she still wanted to feel him touch her all over, damn it. This was a bad idea, but she followed him out to the living room where he turned on the stereo. The soft strains of Christian Dibiasi’s guitar filled the room.

“I love this album,” she said as Blaine took her in his arms.

“I know,” he said in her ear, his lips tickling her earlobe. “Mikelina told me.”

“Traitor.” She laughed huskily. She hadn’t told Mikelina that Blaine had blown it by being internet crazy, so maybe that was a little unfair to call her a traitor.

Blaine rested his cheek against her forehead as they swayed to the music. Selena pressed in close to him, enjoying the hard planes of his body. If he didn’t mention the internet or work, she would stay for a bit. There was no harm in that. The moment he started up again about it, she would leave. That was a good compromise.

“Take this off,” he muttered, unbuttoning her chef’s jacket.

She let him slide it off her shoulders. Her T-shirt was thin, and she still had on her bikini top from this afternoon.

“You won’t need this either.” Blaine pulled the hem of her shirt up. She lifted her arms to make it easy for him.

“This has to go,” she said, unbuttoning the obnoxious shirt.

  Her bikini top was next.

She groaned at the feel of her hard nipples against his chest. Blaine kissed her and she forgot all the promises she made to herself and how much this was a bad idea, because she could kiss him forever and not get tired. Breathing was overrated anyway. While his mouth plundered hers, she stroked the hard muscles of his back. They danced slow, rubbing against each other. Her slacks collapsed to the floor joined shortly with his pants. Reaching down, Selena slid her hands under his boxers and grabbed a handful of his chiseled ass.

Blaine retaliated by dragging his nails over her silky panties.

“Off,” she muttered against his mouth and soon they were dancing naked in the living room.

“Upstairs,” he said, unwilling to stop kissing her as they made their way up the stairs. Almost at the top, he stopped and cupped her breasts in his hands. She held his head as sucked on her nipples. Entwining her leg around his, Selena ground herself against his thigh.

“I could come like this,” she gasped as he held her tighter, still ravaging her breasts with his tongue and teeth.

“Okay,” he panted, going back to her mouth. Tugging on her tight nipples, Blaine inched up the stairs. His cock was hot and hard against her stomach.

“Want you,” Selena muttered, writhing on him.

“Let me,” he said when they reached the landing. He pressed her against the wall and pushed his hand between their bodies.

At the first touch between her thighs, Selen
a gasped. When his fingers rubbed her clit, she clung to his shoulders. “Yes,” she said, scraping her sensitive nipples up his chest.

“Come,” he said, covering his mouth with hers.

He played with her slow until she was nearly screaming. Clamping her thighs together, she rode his fingers to a body-shaking orgasm that left half moons in his shoulders from her fingernails.

  “That’s it,” he said.

She reached down for his cock and stroked it fast.

“I will come all over your hand,” he warned.

“Do it,” she dared, wanting to make him come as hard as she did.

They made it to the doorway of his bedroom. Him playing with her breasts and her rubbing him into a frenzy. He came, hot, sticky and shaking.

“Fuck, yeah,” Blaine said and pushed her down on the bed.

Spreading her legs wide, he looked as she squirmed from the heat in his gaze.

“You’re driving me crazy. You’re so damned beautiful.” Leaning down, he licked her up and down. “You taste so sweet.”

  “Blaine,” she moaned.

He tongued her pussy, each stroke making her shiver. He sucked on her folds and then went for her clit. Selena shrieked and held his head between her thighs as they quivered against his cheeks. She bucked and ground herself into his mouth.

  “So good. So damned good.”

This was worth every bit of trouble she could get into.

“Don’t stop,” she begged. His tongue driving her closer and closer to the edge.

He moaned deep into her and her fingers left his hair to clutch at the bedspread.

“More, more.” Selena turned her head. She could see the moon over the waves crashing in the distance. Blaine’s tongue was flicking at her clit and she could barely form words. She came and he groaned, not stopping licking and sucking until she twitched and her breath hitched with each sensitive stroke.

“You said Mikelina got condoms.” Blaine’s voice was ragged.

“Here,” Selena sobbed out, stretching to the bedside table. Two boxes. Bless her. She tore one open and with shaking fingers took one out.
